Is the game any good?

I'm enjoying Teppen a lot. I think my main problem being that I want more cards/Heroes is a good sign. Came for the Capcom fanservice but I like the real-time CCG thing a lot.

Honkai Impact 3rd would be a good action game (certainly runs well) if it didn't have every fucking mobage bullshit mechanic you could think of to intrude on the solid combat.

You can get all the girls pretty much just by playing the story mode, it's not very predatory.
But it's just a regular super simple game anyway, why not just install FF Tactics or something like that on an emulator?

Mobile port was restored in April and it's the only official way to play it now. It's got all the features of the console version and a good amount of control options. It's free if you can deal with ads between stages or $2 if you can't.

I didn't get a smartphone until i was 24, but im 32 now iphones were all there were back then.

Before the SEGA Forever line brought it back the game was just gone from everything. It got pulled from every storefront in 2015, presumably because of plane licenses. The fact that they re-released it for mobile gives me hope that it will show up on modern consoles or even PC eventually.

Because Japan did about 10 years ago. And Korea follows the trends Japan sets.

I'm enjoying the hell out of it actually, I went into it expecting a throwaway but I rather like the game and the community is pretty active in translating info and keeping people up to date.

If any of you guys are apple fags like me, try out void tyrant; I've been having lots of fun with it lately. It's basically blackjack, but in the shell of a roguelike game. You have a deck that you can improve as you play. Pretty fun.

Afterburner is a plane shooter from a behind-the-plane camera. Think Star Fox but a lot faster and the camera spins when you barrel roll. Climax is the first game in the series to follow in the footsteps of Afterburner II, which is legitimately one of the best arcade games ever (the original is still worth it for the sit-in gyro cockpit cab). Climax is shorter than II but has way more variety in its stages, late 6th gen/early 7th gen visuals, multiple jets, and the option to use a new OST or ABII's classic OST. You also unlock a bunch of variables to make the game different, harder, or easier, by completing objectives, in the console & mobile versions.

The 3DS remaster of Afterburner II is also fantastic, for the record, as it has a bunch of great bells & whistles/QoL stuff and adds what's essentially an entire new game via the Extra mode which has new stages, new mechanics, and a new story; it's the Afterburner III that we should've gotten instead of a port of an unrelated SEGA plane game to the Sega CD called ABIII for that release, although Climax is good enough to also be considered the true third game.

Oh, so more of a rail shooter? Sounds dope, I wouldn't mind a Star Fox fix.

It's not quite like Star Fox, just a similar 3rd-person aircraft rail shooter. Certainly way less focus on the world or any characters. Afterburner is about speed above all else. Climax does have a couple branching paths and two secret special stages though.

Girls' Frontline has censored artwork on Global to allow distribution on the Play Store, with a built-in uncensor code
there is nothing stopping the developers/distributor from doing this here as well, especially considering the primary selling point

They just announced that they apologized formally to the community for making the monetization too predatory and are in the process of overhauling the gacha to be more fair, with pity system on summons and merging the two gachas together, so as a f2p I couldn't be fucking happier.
Some whales are doomposting because they're made they spent 50k in the previous system but fuck'em.

The gameplay is more hands on. You can auto a lot of stuff ince you are strong enough but there are a lot of units and some enemy placements that are better when manually controlled like Phantom.

define "pity system" because, if I'm understanding you correctly on what that means, it's actually required by Japanese law to have a system like that in place and I'm surprised they hadn't implemented one during development

I ended up playing a jp version of one of my games and i think every game should have the pity system, nothing hurts more than putting 50 dollars into a game and never getting anything above tier 2/5

a ceiling on the amount of summons you need to get a banner unit. We don't have the full details yet, but they currently already have a ceiling for limited units banner who both prevent off-banner SSR pulls and literally give you the unit on your 121th pull if you didn't get it before that point.

I remember the Granblue controversy from a few years ago and how there was some sweeping legal debate and subsequent regulation stemming from that
a lot of games adopted the same system whereby you accrue a unique currency from pulls that can be traded in for featured units/items/whatever, I guess I just presumed it was stemming from that legal turmoil rather than an honor system
I haven't played a game that hasn't adopted that feature in the years since, it's really surprising to hear of a game without one

This just makes me want something like kamidori alchemy meister or rance with the same level of absurd body types. The art and jiggle physics are really nice, but it's so close to porn that the gameplay actually seems like it's a distraction.

Anyways, I'm deep into Granblue. It scratches my MMO itch hard and I love everything else it has going on from events, to music, to the characters. I play it more at home though since my phone battery is garbo, but it's still nice to have available wherever.

The Alchemist Code's the only gacha game that I haven't gotten bored of in a few months, but that's just because I mostly play it on break at work. As for actual good games, Dungeon Maker, Part Time UFO and Shattered Pixel Dungeon are all lots of fun.
