Mario Maker 2
Fire Emblem
Astral Chain
Luigis Mansion 3.
Just waiting for Luigis Mansion to go into pre purchase so I can use the last one
Wait, can you buy more than one?
I thought you only got one.
You get two vouchers with each purchase. I think you can have up to 8 of them at a time.
arent they $100?
fuck that
Haven't bought vouchers yet but I will once Fire Emblem reviews are out, probably.
Might also get a second set for Mario Maker 2 and Link's Awakening remake.
I think they end at the end of July, so if you wanna take advantage of the deal then don't waste time after those reviews drop.
What is this? I'm out of the loop
Buy two games digital, get $20 off.
Yeah but you get two. They're for people who plan on purchasing at least two $60 games digitally.
Mama mia!
Pre ordered Fire Emblem, Mario Maker 2 and gonna get other vouchers for both Pokemon
Also if the taxes in your country are retarded
Save like 80$ instead of spending 160 + 15% tip
link's awakening and loogies mansion 3 for $20 off, neat
Again, this program ends at the end of july so if anyone wants to get in on this you're running low on time. When you buy it you get $5 in nintendo credit so if you're in america it basically cancels out the tax you have to pay
I didn't even know this was a thing.
I bought Mario Maker 2 digitally last week, did I fuck myself out of deal potentials in doing so, or is it like... Cumulative?
Was thinking of getting BOTW, Xenoblade 2 or Builders 2 sometime
>2 vouchers is $100. Thats $20 off two digital games. They don't expire for a year but Nintendo is closing the program at the end of the month. You can look at what games are able to use the voucher on the Eshop. Basically every nintendo 1st party game and quite a few 3rd party stuff, like DQ Builders 2.
I did Mario Maker and DQ Builders 2. I plan on getting FE, Astral Chain, and Daemon X Machina physically, so if I decide to get another set I'd probably go with Link's Awakening and Pokemon in the off chance that turns out to be good.
Didn't mean to greentext, fuck me.
Here's a list of all the games that you can use a voucher for
nintendo.com
Probably ports for games I already have in other consoles (namely Wii U), but I wouldn't mind having portable. Hyrule Warriors is a good example.
>Again, this program ends at the end of july
Why don't they extend the deadline, fucking Nintendo
Its been a thing since the end of May. There was plenty of time. Shitty part is that they basically did not let anyone know its a limited time thing, you have to dive deep into the website to find that out.
Who pays 60$ for their games? You can get physical games for much cheaper and even digital through unofficial third party sellers.
Get pokémon sword and shield so /vp/ can seethe harder
For actual recommendations
Fire emblem
Astral chain
Link's awakening
Mario maker 2
Luigi's mansion 3
This seems like a shitty program
How is getting 2 games you wanted and save $20 doing so shitty?
Already pre-loaded Astral Chain. I thought about getting MUA3 since I'm a huge capefag that loved the first game but as it is now it looks barebone as fuck, so I'll probably wait for a gold/complete edition with all DLC in a year or two and get Daemon X Machina instead
>have to pay for online first THEN get a fucking $10 discount on two games
So really I'm only getting a return on my investment if I buy two sets of vouchers?
Just copped Fire Emblem and Astral Chain
>Paying 50 dollars for a 1:1 remake of a gameboy game when the original still holds up perfectly well
I seriously hope you guys don't do this.
You're not investing anything. You're never gonna be able to cash out the digital games on your account.
Why would you pat for this digital meme when you could wait a while after a games release and buy them second hand for 50-60% off?
it's my favorite 2d loz game.
>wow a whole 20 dollar discount
>Games that over over two years old like Arms are still 59.99 fucking burgerbucks
This is the most fake discount deal thing ever
It's pretty shitty when physical Switch games have gone on sale multiple times, including first party ones like Mario Kart and Smash
It's shitty because it's basically Nintendo trying to appease people with a shitty "deal" and draw attention away from the fact that their games hardly ever drop in price; even years after release. It's common practice for a $60 game to be reduced to $30 baseline a year after release, allowing budget strained/conscious consumers the ability to enjoy games with provided they are patient. Nintendo meanwhile gets away with this consumer unfriendly practice. Tell me again why a $20 "discount" with no overhead cost, no retailer cut, and most importantly, no physical copy to sell afterwards is a good deal.
Digital Nintendo games also go on sale.
Which makes this worse because you're getting the digital games full price
I used them on MM2 and DQB2.
No, you're getting them for 10 dollars off
>Why don't they extend the deadline, fucking Nintendo
Its been a deal for almost 3 months now. Stop being a slow retard.
Is this for america only?
When does th program expire
cope
Leaf here, it's available here too. It's also up on Japan. Japs shill Xenoblade 2 a lot on Twitter because it's literally the priciest game you can get through vouchers. Pretty sure they're also in Europe. If you don't live in North America, Europe or Japan, you probably have bigger things to worry about than digital Nintendo vouchers
Is xenoblade 2 worth getting if I didn't really like 1 and haven't played x?
Here is my voucher. It has unlimited uses too!
I got Mario Maker, gonna get Fire Emblem and Astral Chain for sure. I'll leave one for later
based, i got a jig of ebay because im too pussy to make one and possibly fry my bingbingwahoo machine
I’ve already used 2 on Mario Maker and Fire Emblem. I’m gonna buy 6 more before the sale expires for:
>Astral Chain
>Link’s Awakening
>Luigi’s Mansion
>Pokemon Sword
>Animal Crossing
And then have one more in reserve. I know for sure I’m gonna buy these games, so it makes sense to save the money
2 games at full price, and only applies to digital titles. What a bargain. Buying anything cheaper than the $60 full price selection is also a complete waste of money.
>Buy $100 worth of eShop credit on sale for $90
>Use that $100 to get two vouchers
>Get two $60 games for only $90
It’s basically buy one, get one 50% off
Used mine for Splatoon and Smash. Totally worth it, got already 100 hours in Splatoon and 70 in Smash.
The fact that a paperclip can completely blow open the switch’s security and kernel will never fail to make me laugh. How fucking incompetent do you have to be as a multibillion dollar company to let this happen lmao
Might wanna run that math again buddy. Use a pen and paper this time since you’re to retarded to do it in your head
Can I get more than one pair? Do they expire?
Wasted my first one on MM2 (turns out that people fucking suck at making levels).
Will use my last one of FIre Emblem
Already used one on Mario Maker, second one is going to Animal Crossing
Okay, I’ll go through it again for you user. Let me know if I need to break out the crayons.
>Spend $90 to get a $100 eshop card when they’re on sale, which is pretty common
>Use that $100 to get 2 vouchers
>Use the 2 vouchers to get 2 $60 games
>You have now spent $90 and recieved $120 of games in return
>Therefore, you effectively bought one game at full price and got the other at 50% off
What date does it end?
that sounds like a pretty good idea actually. I'm a physicalfag so I never really considered the vouchers.
Exactly one year since you bought the vouchers
I know. The deal seems to be for a limited time and it ends soon. That's what I wanted to know the date for.
This was nvidias fault though. They allow bypassing Nintendo's kernel system through their faulty tegra processor.
EDIT: Nvidia is of course also a multibillion dollar company so you're not wrong.
>Using it on shit like Arms when you can use it for new games right as they release
I got Mario Maker day 1 with it.
Genius, use them on new games and you’ll basically forever get 25% off + gold coins for each game you buy
>saying "getting" a game when you actually purchase it
Or just buy the game on ebay for a fraction of the retail price.
DQB2 and waiting to use the other for DQ11
In march i'll probably buy another pair of vouchers for Animal Crossing and whatever else looks good
wait what? theyre removing them? that's stupid
Can't decide on 2 out of Astral Chain, DQ Builders 2, or Pokemon Shield. Kinda leanin towards not getting Builders/waiting for it to be cheap.
everything else available is either something I'm gettin physically or games I'm not interested in
Got DQB2. Thinking about Mario Maker 2 but the online being shit really kills it for me and two "building" games might be too much. Will likely save for Animal Crossing way down the line or use it on Loogi's Mansion 3 if it turns out to be really good.
>Vouchers are good for a year
>But you can't fucking use them if you don't have online, even though you bought them when you had online
This is next level kikery.
What’s the fucking difference? The point is that you spend $90 to get $120 worth of games. It’s not hard to figure out
And have a bunch of little cartridges to deal with? Fuck that, I want to have every game I own accessible with a single memory card
more like $25 off since they give you back $5 worth of eshop credit for buying from the eshop
Just create an amuurrican account. Set it in oregon so you don't pay any taxes.
Wait what is this?
You can have max 8 vouchers. They expire after a year
Is it even worth it if you aren't subscribed at the moment?
>Nintendo had to resort to food stamps for the kiddies to give them money
No wonder Nintendo is dying. This is pathetic.
Just got fire emblem planning to get pokemon sword edition
I did it twice
>Mario Maker 2
>Dragon Quest Builders 2
>Astral Chain
>???
Debating on using the last one for either Fire Emblem Three Houses or Dragon Quest XI S
Not without a these two factors
>1. You're planning to use the online frequently
>2. You're planning to buy multiple pairs of vouchers
That being said getting $10 off at launch isn't bad.
i recommend DQ11, FE looks like a dumpsterfire (this is coming from a huge FEfag)
DQ11 is a 9/10 game and the shit ton of content being added to the switch version will probably make it a 10/10 experience
still not enough retard they should've just make it a standard feature for their shitty online service retard. that being said i'll probably get mm2 and I don't know what else
I seriously am going to do this.
>FE looks like a dumpsterfire (this is coming from a huge FEfag)
>spend money on online which is basically useless
>get """""20 off"""""
>actually the 20 you spent on online
lmao you guys are getting fucking ripped off.
Luigi's Mansion 3 and Link's Awakening when they're eligible.
Maybe Astral Chain and Daemon X Machina if that ends up being good
>being a fan means being complacent and liking whatever gets shit out without question
oh yeah i forgot, this is Yea Forums
male byleth's design is pretty good though
It's sickening that Link's Awakening is actually going for be $60.
You couldn't sound any more like a shill if you tried.
It visually looks like shit and people will continue to call it out as such. Get over it, mindless drone.
That’s a retarded point because if you do use the vouchers just once, you basically get free online for a year by your logic. Also, you know you can buy more than one pair, right? I’ve saved $80 so far through the vouchers
Odd, cause pretty much everywhere I go, people seem pretty hyped for it. I know you desperately need to be contrarian so you can’t ever like anything popular, but it’s okay user.
>buy 4 games just to save $20
I got BotW with it since the digital version is €70. Not sure what use my second one on yet.
It's available in Europe as well.
You can’t be this stupid.
>Check the list of games available for voucher use
>If you want 2, get the vouchers
>You have just effectively gotten a buy one, get one 50% deal
I really hope you niggers don't actually think just saving $20 on two $60 digital games is a good deal.
>Buy 1, get 1 50% off is a bad deal for first party digital games at launch
Fucking what?
What's the point if they're selling DLC on the side. Ends up costing 90 instead of 70 that way.
You have to buy online to even get the voucher in the first place, so you're not saving anything for the first pair of games.
I'm tempted to buy it just for the reorchestrated soundtrack. Then again, it was always my favourite Zelda game.
That’s still retarded, because then you effectively get online for a year for free. If you KNOW that you’re going to get 2 specific games digitally, then there’s absolutely no reason to not use the vouchers.
>$20 off a $60 game is 50% off
>because then you effectively get online for a year for free
Which should be free in the first place for how shit and barebones it is.
As I’ve said before, you can find $100 eshop cards for $90 all the time. So you spend $90, and get $120 in value. Meaning you effectively bought one game at full price ($60) and then got the next at half off ($30). 30+60=90. Understand?
You're still not saving anything because you need to buy online for the vouchers.
DxM and Astral I’ve found I don’t give a fuck about physical games anymore I don’t buy games I plan on ever trading in anymore anyway and cases take up space for no reason. No more cool manuals or inside art these days usually too
No, it's too similar to 1 that if you didn't like it you probably won't like 2
You're getting online for a year for free. You can argue however much you want about how good or bad the online is, but you are saving $20 one way or another
none because i have to trash my computer and live in the middle of the woods if i want to get a weekly paycheck
>for free
If the online is "free", then the games are at full price.
Pokémon Shield will be shit, just emulate gen 4/5 games and romhacks and call it a day
Not if you weren't going to make use of the online in the first place. I mean sure, you're getting it for "free" as a part of a deal, but if you didn't want it in the first place it's not a terribly good deal.
Wow that's kinda shit
I was gonna get Sword and animal crossing but I'm not touching sword now so I dunno
How good is mario maker 2 for someone who never played the first?
Exactly, so you still saved 20 dollars.
I'll explain it one more time, holy shit.
>You own a switch, but you don't have online
>You KNOW that you want mario maker 2 and fire emblem
>You could either buy both games at full price ($120)
>OR you could sign up for online, ($20), and then buy a set of vouchers ($100) and then get both of those games
In both of those scenarios, you've spent $120, but if you use the vouchers, you've gotten a year of online for free. Understand?
Do you really like 2D Mario? Do you like kaizo hacks and/or singlular level gimmicks?
>Do you really like 2D Mario? Do you like kaizo hacks and/or singlular level gimmicks?
I liked 2D mario back in the say. World is my favorite game of all time.
I dont really like the twitch speedrunning shit with the shell jumps and bullshit like that
>buy an online subscription
>spend half of your food stamps on a single player game
You're too smart for me, user.
Are these really worth it tho?
And I'm saying that it's not a terribly attractive deal if you don't care about the online.
I don't even know what you're trying to say here. If you KNOW that you want two specific voucher compatible games, it makes zero sense to not do the vouchers.
Where can I get a $90 card right now?
Right, but at that point, you've effectively saved $20 for online (Regardless of if it's good or not), and now you can buy even more vouchers if you see games that you want on the compatible list. Like I said before, I've saved $80+ just by using the voucher system.
Also, there's NO reason to not use the vouchers in the first place unless you don't like the game selection or want physical
I'd rather just get physical copies for cheaper.
I use raise, they pretty much always have them in stock for 10% off.
And that's fine, but I prefer getting my games digitally immediately on launch for 25% off each title
You might be able to find the games for less elsewhere? The deal is a lot worse if you don't already have the online.
Buying things you don't want isn't saving.
only if you know what games you want and were going to get them at full price anyway
>buying games at launch
Have you learned nothing?
Do you really think with the 10s of thousands of levels that are published, that all of them are like that?
You can get one month of the online for four bucks though. If the games you want will be available within that time frame, that is.
The vast minority of levels are actually worth playing.
>Buying things you don't want isn't saving.
I literally just said "unless you don't like the game selection". Obviously you would only do this if you know that you were going to buy these games anyway
I've never had an issue with nintendo games I've purchased being shit on launch. If I did, I wouldn't buy games this way
Mario maker
Fire emblem
Asstral chain
Maybe pokemon, thinking about getting Dragon Quest instead...
This deal is shit. Nintendo needs to learn how to put their games on sale properly. Then again, if retarded fans keep gobbling this shit up, I guess they don't.
>Nintendo needs to learn how to put their games on sale properly
Why? Their fanboys buy their games at full price anyway, and even defend 20-year-old rereleases also being released at full price.
I havent thought about it yet honestly
I might do it to Astral Chain and Luigi
I thought I was going to spend one voucher on UA3 but apparently its boring. Spent one on FE3H, will probably wait for LM3 or Link's Awakening to use the other one.
>He still thinks Link's Awakening will only be 24 hours long
>he thinks nintendo adds content to their rereleases
I bought DQB2 and FE3H last night with them
Next ones’ll be something like MUA3 and DQXIS
What? At most it should only take 15 hours for someone to finish Link's Awakening on their first play.
I want to use it on animal crossing but if nintendo delays it again to next christmas the voucher wont cover it
user, even if they added a whole new Dark World campaign the same length as the base game it wouldn't last much more than 24 hours, and protip: they won't.
Really makes me think...
>mfw they wait until August 2020 before putting up the preorder/voucher availability for all the great Fall 2020 games
user, they aren't going to delay a game scheduled for march all the way to december, especially since it's already been delayed once
If you change your Zip code to one in Oregon then it’s tax free
i mean it's 10+ hour story and they added a dungeon building extra mode
might as well be called v-cards
>Figure this is a good time to get Hyrule Warriors DE
>Look it up
>Apparently it's $40 at certain retailers right now
Looks like I'm going physical again
Mario Maker 2 and possibly Dragon Quest XI. I'd rather reward a dev giving us a complete package than waifu emblem and I'm still bitter about the studio killing advance wars. Beyond that, I might just pirate the rest tbqh
Any game I care about enough to want the digital version so I will always have it avaliable I will just end up buying the collectors edition instead.
Literally this. I would buy into a digital future if it was actually cheaper.
The reasoning is that if digital games were cheaper, it'd piss off the physical stores. It's retarded
Mario Maker 2
Fire Emblem
Astral Chain
Link's Awakening
Let's say I were to buy a physical copy of AC next year, play for a while using my physical copy, and then buy the digital version of the game (so I can leave the physical one aside and switch between games more easily). Would this take up the same spot on my Switch? Would I be able to continue from my previous save states, and would I be able to get DLC etc. as normal?
If anybody had this experience with Splatoon 2, Smash, or any other 1st party game please let me know.
