I think Elidibus might not be tempered to Zodiark. He spilled the beans to Zenos when he really didn't have to and pointed a battle autist towards wearing Zodiark or Hydaelyn as a hat, he deliberately wears different robes from all the others, he saved Unukalhai when he didn't have to, and now he's meandering about bringing other Warriors of Light to the Source to try and stop you but it might be to get you up to a full individual rather than actually stopping you; anime math says a single shard individual is not going to win against an individual comprised of 9 shards of 14 in the long run. I think Elidibus is trying to take out Zodiark and Hydaelyn at the same time so he can get to whatever the fuck was screaming inside the earth.

The cards are fucking ruined and between sleeve draw and 3 stacks of redraw you will immediately have all 3 seals but because divination has a 3 minute cooldown you’re just mindlessly press minor arcana until its off cooldown again. All of the fun things were removed, no more ability extensions with TD/CO, your damage potencies are shit, your heal potencies are shit, the cards are both boring and annoying and have little pay off. I was a fucking ast main in 4.0. I dropped it immediately. I don’t know of a single person that actually likes ANY of the 5.0 AST changes. It’s in the worst place any job has ever been in since 2.0. No one should bother with it until massive changes come around.

I'm enjoying the story a lot, but I don't really feel FFXIV is a MMO, of all of the time I've been playing (lvl 75 right now) I only played with other people for like 4% of that time, if that. I play pretty much that Ala Mhigger character but shaven head and slightly thinner lips. I rather like it. I don't like the elezen's hair but I think you can pull off a good elezen look with heavy armor, though I would consider smaller ears as the elezen I've seen ingame that made me go "wow you look good" tended to have smaller ears. I've mistaken two of them for Garleans.
They brought Emet-Selch in 4.4, and vauthry in 5.0. So I am optimistic in a short span of time they can turn around a great character.

It was an assumption that the 14th council member was the ascian whole of the WoL but apparently we misread that and the council member was brought on board for the crisis, didn't leave because they disagreed with the policy. I need to check to confirm that but if that's the case then Elidibus could be the devil who joined the council and proposed the summoning in the first place. With some long term eye towards precipitating the Zodiark-Hydaelyn crisis.
Only thing we know for sure is guy does not want Hydaelyn to stop the rejoinings. Doesn't mean he likes Zodiark, just means he does want the rejoinings. He might have some master plan for when they do happen. Cue that image of "I was pretending to be mentally retarded for 20 years" from some anime.

you'd need a mouse with extra buttons, to do it easily, otherwise you'll have to get used to the left side of the keybord for your button presses. (Which to me, is awkward) I dont use a mouse at all, and just use the num pad. ALT, CNTRL. SHIFT all modify the buttons, or at least most of the buttons. First hotbar: 12345 then a gap to maintain the mental divide then Shift + Q, Shift E, Shift R , Shift T, then Mouse button 3 and mouse button 5. Second hotbar: Shift + 12345, then gap, then Shift ZXCVB. Then on the side FGH, Shift FGH and miscellaneous non hotkeyed stuff like sort inventory, teleport.
I switched off of control 12345 because that required hand movement I wasn't comfortable with - pinkie to control then middle or index to 1-5 didn't work right for me. For some reason I can move better and keep WASD with shift than control.

After level 68 never use Fire 2 again for AoE, just go straight to Flare, use convert for these too so you can pump out another one. On AoE you can also Sharpcast your AoE Thunder. Learn how to slidecast, put Aetherial Manipulation and Between the Lines on easy to access buttons, you can cheese a lot with them. You can eat some aoes with Manaward as well if you need to. At Level 70 use Transpose between pulls to keep bulding gauge for foul until you get Umbral Heart which you can spam during downtime.

In the past every new class hint came from around the middle to the late of the release:
Thancred and Yugiri as Rogue and ninja came in 2.2, ninja came out 2.4. Alisaie revealed RDM in 3.4, RDM came out 4.0. Goesetsu is an abberation as he appeared in 3.5 unless I am wrong. Nero had his gunblade around 4.3 or 4.4 (Sigmascape) if I recall right unless he showed up earlier in Omega on release. But his animation may not have been right to it to begin with. We did have Fran show up to hint Viera in 4.5 (or 4.4?).
So if we see a new weapon/animations show up on an NPC in 5.3-5.4, it pretty much guarantees it'll be a class. Depends on the content, both tanks and healers can burst really high in trash packs due to being able to just run up and spam one big aoe button over and over. Obviously there are times when people are just shit at the game don't get me wrong, parses just don't really always tell the whole story in an accurate way.

that only applies to DPS who have to figure out how to maintain uptime. standing in a puddle next to the boss doesnt interfere with DRK DPS in any shape or form. They have no positionals, and nor were they ranged. DRK can literally max their DPS by just spaming away all of their MP. that MP is only used for DPS or TBN. as OT you can get away with never using TBN, just let someone else cover the loss of mitigation.
getting orange in DRK NEVER at any point requires messing up mechanics to maximize their DPS. Maximizing thier mitigation does, which clearly wasnt his issue.

an over simplification to explain it to someone who hasnt tanked. the obvious answer is you supplement with TBN, LD, and let the other tank take it, if its too much physical dmg. (which shouldnt be the case in 8man, since bosses almost always use magic dmg for DRKs last options)

No, it's actually just Xeno that shits on LD. Most Healers that are actually good at the game love LD because of how easy it is to heal. LD consumes the same amount of resources as any other invuln short of HG unless you're some shit healer that plays suboptimal and actually needs your other healing resources as "emergencies". correct Holmgang s a busted invuln and no one except a retard will ever argue that it isn't broken.

Unlike the other invulns it sucks up your healer's resources for no good reason. It was already a pain in some situations in SB, but now with the more bloated HP pools and weaker healing all around restoring 100% of your DRK's HP is just too much. It should be reworked to 50% or have some other benefit to compensate for it, class identity and all that be damned, anything but WHM with a planned Benediction makes it a huge pain in the ass.

Except your oGCDs are barely enough for LD anymore nowadays. You need to waste actual GCD healing on it if you don't happen to have a WHM, which isn't really a situation you would really find yourself in in a proper group at this stage in the game, but that doesn't make it any better fundamentally.

2x ED is nowhere near enough for LD, what the fuck are you smoking. If you are in pre-Eden BiS and have an i444 DRK it's only enough for about 50% of their health unless you also happen to be inside Neutral Stance and/or have Asylum/Illumination.

I've cleared both with a casual group and I've seen plenty of actual retards on my server that are bad clear it solely through smashing their head against the wall. regardless if its shit before 60 or not, take up the trial to 35. when the base game goes on sale for $10, you can get to 50, and have 30 days free to play. (it did offer the 1st expansion for free, but that deal has ended) otherwise $60 for base game, and all expansions. from Lv35, you should be able to hit max level 5-10 days before your free 30 days ends. (unless u take a lot of breaks, and dont play a good number of hours each day, or try to do side quests) the smallest u can get away with, is just $60, and thats honestly pretty normal for a single player game. downside is if u have time to dedicate to playing in the 30 free days.
