Is this game actually good? Is it what LSD feels like? Is it cool even without that?
LSD Dream Emulator
Yes
No
Yes
if you're ok with playing a game with no clear objective and are just willing to walk around and take in the sights its a good game. I quite enjoyed what I played of it but i never made it to the end.
It's one of the first walking simulators basically. One of the only good ones in my opinion too. Also it's nothing like acid. The hallucinations on acid are at most, colors and shapes. Particularly fractals and especially if you are in the dark. The more profound effect of acid is the rapid fire bizarre thoughts it gives you.
is down supposed to turn you right, or did i fuck up mapping my controller to the emulator
My father told me that once he drove home after doing LSD and he hallucinated that all the cars on the road were elephants being ridden by their drivers.
He actually made it home without incident. His mind accurately translated traffic into elephantvision.
fucked up
Based and Carthaginian.
What if you played this while on lsd?
>Is it what LSD feels like?
It has nothing to do with drugs dumb ass.
no its not what lsd feels like you fucking retard.
if you want to know what lsd feels like smoke a literal pound of weed or just eat a bunch of edibles, similar experience.
lsd sucks ass btw, dont do it unless you want to turn into a faggot
>it's a weird walking sim, hardly even a game but i guess it's worth trying out
>not even close, lol
>i've played it on lsd one time and it doesn't add much to make it worth doing
Get really drunk, play this game, record everything, better with a friend.
Debt doesn't count if nobody can force you to pay.
It's a great game, but you must play it a certain way:
>go in as blind as you can
>every time you enter a familiar area or see something interesting, note differences
>try to figure out everything about a specific common subject, like the bear, giant or Grey Man
It's a very unique experience that feels a lot like a dream journal experience when you do it this way.

if you ever get your hands on some L, take it when there's a full moon. the moonlight turns into rainbows and the clouds are like looking through a kaleidoscope.
This is just disingenuous.
>THIS is how you play my meme game
yikes
Here are all the phrases related to the acronym:
"Link Speed Dream" (official meaning from the now-defunct website)
"Lovely Sweet Dream" (dream journal)
"Lucy in the Sky with Dynamites" (nonstop mix CD)
"in Limbo, the Silent Dream." (Opening A)
"in Life, the Sensuous Dream." (Opening B)
"in Logic, the Symbolic Dream." (Opening C)
"in Leisure, the Sonorous Dream." (Opening D)
"in Laughter, the Spiritual Dream." (Opening E)
"in Lunacy, the Savage Dream." (Opening F)
"in Linking, the Sapient Dream." (Opening G)
I like this game. I played it when I was a neet and was also expecting my dreams to have happy endings as a result. There is a lot of dream symbolism in the game. Just play it when you are tired and need to sleep, it doesn't make sense because it is trying to act literally like a dream. there are no goals or objectives. just enjoy it. It helped me feel less lonely. lsd is much much different.
Its fun for about 20 minutes or so then you just keep visiting the same locations over and over again
>if you want to know what lsd feels like smoke a literal pound of weed or just eat a bunch of edibles, similar experience.
Bullshit.
Also, the game has a nice companion artbook/dream journal.
playing this game for the first time is one of the best experiences ever
Enjoy wandering aimlessly and not paying attention, user. When you lose interest in 20 minutes and decide it was always a meme game, you only have yourself to blame.
If someone made a game out of your dreams, what would it be about?
>keep dream journal around 2010
>note a few week's worth of dreams
>start recalling so easily I have a detailed dream to note every single day
>miss one day
>recalling powers obliterated suddenly
>lose interest while waiting until I remember another dream after waking
>several month gap
>rinse and repeat until now
It'd be pretty empty honestly
