Metal Arms: Glitch in the System has an easter egg that's been bothering me for 16 years.
In the third level, Seal The Mines, there are several destroyable rocks. No matter which one you blow up, the first rock will always release these weird glowing bugs that make the same noise as swarmers but don't look anything like them. They also don't hurt you. There's absolutely not explanation for them and they've never been acknowledged anywhere but this thread.
Swingin Ape studio were the ones making Starcraft Ghost. And then Blizzard fucking canceled that too. This is nothing but a string of tragedies.

Gaming mysteries like this are my favorite because they have to have an explanation. Whoever created a unique model and programmed that level to spawn them at whichever of the dozens of rocks you destroy first had to have made them for a reason.
I have three theories >they're related to the Morbots and were meant to be foreshadowing >they're baby swarmers mothers or something, and canonically you unwittingly release them >they were a cut npc that a dev decided to throw in just so it wouldn't go to waste
Too bad this game only gets discussed in a meaningful way here. There's so many background details that I wonder about >the dead giant robots from the wastelands >the wastelands itself and why it exists >who the fuck even is the Zombiebot King >what happens to your zombiebot buddies in the level They Live >what are the swarmers and why are they all over the Morbot region >what happened to the blue droid gladiator that survived every round of the colosseum levels
I swear this game has real lore to it that never got noticed because it flew under the radar too far.

Let me check YouTube for a video and timestamp. People have seen it, they've just never questioned it.

You can see them briefly at 0:11, but the guy doesn't stick around to look at them.
I loved the game, but goddamn it was hard as hell at times.

Right, dude. I don't see anything. Stop clinging onto your childhood. It's unbecoming.

Normal was hard, hard was insane and nuts of steel wasn't playtested

They're pretty clearly visible. That said, I made this thread for other people who played this game. I didn't really expect that I would have to explain the game to people who never heard of it. That's sort of like trying to explain the ice key to someone who never played Banjo Kazooie.
>i thought i could post nonsense on the internet and not have to explain it durrrr someone come over and wipe my ass im handicapped is pretty much exactly what you just said

If you are wanting something that is made to stick into the minds of anyone that played this game it is the execution of the resistance leaders when you fail at that one mission. I failed it once and it still haunts me to this day because of how harrowing it was. I made sure to ace the fuck out of that mission every time.

Why does he look so fucking familiar. I never played or heard of the game before but something about it is really triggering something in me
