any other death noises I'm missing?

Based on the concept art, it looked like they were playing around with the idea of flora coming to life and becoming hostile.

Still not even convinced its not another scam.

The face behind the gas mask is clearly from a photograph.

never gonna release and if it does it will suck giant donkey dick.

the early teaser was an announcement made with nothing in production, they just want to live off the name and reputation.

stable base on modern engine for future mods

How can it be?
Is there a kickstarter or gofundme?

it's going to be shit

t. amerimutt that only plays games from either EA, Ubisoft, or Activision

nobody that made the original stalker is still working on stalker 2, and if they are they no longer have the passion. Time destroys everything. Don't come at me with EA or Ubisoft or some shit like I play mediocre crap either.

Frankly, they got lucky with Stalker; and even then it took years of community modifications to make it more playable.

Insecure muttoid.

>VASALIEEEEEEEEEEE

if thats even right

This, Slav soul is the most sincere and pure there is

How's the shitshow development coming along Sergei?

did you even play the game on release? I did, you fucking cretin. There were so many fucking problems with Stalker it was ridiculous. The last area seemed like a mod written by someone who only knew about English through other poorly written mods.

God, the arrogance of you mutts.
It's amazing how americans seem to know the ins and outs of every single non-american developer like they have exclusive access to their buildings and workspaces.
What else do you have? You got access to the CIA bunkers as well? Care to enlighten us on what their next psyop plans are?

I mean, they did. STALKER is a budget title made by a bunch of vodka chugging potato people who can barely string together cans with string let alone workstation PCs but they still somehow managed to make a series that went on to become not only memetic but highly regarded amongst the PC gaming community. Not to mention that some of their alumni went on to make Metro, which as a whole is a dissappointing series but the first game is really quite good for what it is. They absolutely got lucky, though they still worked extremely hard to accomplish what they did.

STALKER 2 gives me no hope, though.

>aaaagh....

for it to be released

MR. HICKEY PUT YOUR SKIN BACK ON AT ONCE

BIG
NUTT

isnt it gonna be online mmo

Corroborating this. I didn't even have internet when I bought it and there were so many ways to just completely break the game that I ended up having to restart 3 times just to get to the end. And I didn't finish it until years later since Chernobyl NPP was such a fucking mess. When you were even lucky enough to be getting framerates in the double digits you still had to worry about whether scripted events would bother triggering or that's a level restart.

>independent ukrainian developer with shoestring budget and resources releases a game that is buggy and incomplete
>WTF WHY DO THESE RUSSIANS ALLOWED TO MAKE GAMES THEY NEED BE BANKRUPTED IMMEDIATELY

>triple a californian developer with a hollywood blockbuster budget releases a game that is buggy and incomplete
>well its okay im sure the DLC that costs 594932948239 dollars will fix it no big deal

Mutts are cucks.

imagine this level of asspulling

You could at least try to make it less obvious that you're American/Californian.

>pretending to be this retarded for (you)s

No, he brings up a salient point.
Why is there so much outrage over the way the game was released versus what goes on today in the industry?

nobody is raging, we're just calmly stating that stalker 2 is probably vaporware, and if it isn't you'll probably wish it was. That's all.

literally all I want is more of the same thing. There are some game franchises that I want to evolve over time, this isn't one of them. I want more content and tighter gameplay, but I don't need crazy new mechanics that completely change how the game is played.

Because the market demographic is wider, it seems pretty obvious. It's not that people stopped caring, the same amount of people care now that always did, there are just more people who don't care that much about video games in general.

>we're just calmly stating that stalker 2 i
No, you didn't sound calm at all.
You sounded like GSC made some severe personal insult against you by "tricking" you into buying their incomplete game.

I don't think he sounded that riled up either desu, you seem a lot more invested in this than he does.

Big brain post

Your input is irrelevant. Please hit puberty first before posting.

Free roam the same scale as Arma 2 and 3.

I expect to never hear anything about it ever again outside of the initial twitter post.

What were your honest thoughts on the mutant variety in STALKER?

yep you're mad

>unironically using 'u mad' as a retort in 2019
You have to be over 18 to post here.

The people who made ShoC weren't the ones who made CS and those weren't the ones who made CoP. Most of the originals went to make that one stalkerish multiplayer game that went absolutely nowhere. Stalker was never about the team moreso about the direction, hence whats his name holding onto the licence dearly. If he ever manages to actually gather some people to make the game, I'll be cautiously optimistic about its future.

You're really fixated on me being underage, do you have anything else or am I gonna get a third one?

i wont be cautiously optimistic but I will pirate it day one (should it release) and I'll let you know what I think about it here on this very site.

Casual contributor to a popular CoC-based mod here.
A dev at GSC talks to one of guys working with us not much was said about the game other than that they were taking inspiration from the mod community, specifically MISERY, and that us on the mod team couldn't get to play it early.

>and that us on the mod team couldn't get to play it early.
Huh

I just want it to exist. The doomposters will be doomposters in order to feel smug and the optimismposters will pretend that the ip holder can do no wrong. I just want more stalker.

Stalker SoC/CS was a mess when it released. A glorious, awe inspiring mess which drew you into its buggy world (and then repeatedly ripped you out with crashes and freezes and progression soft locks even when you played the game as carefully as possible).

The game wasn't even a diamond in the rough, it was more like the dolomite which eventually is compressed to make the diamond. The potential was there, but sweet jesus did it have a long fucking way to go. Practically every single part of SoC has been modded to hell and back to make the thing actually playable and somewhat stable. I say somewhat, because the fucking thing still crashes at the drop of a hat, and soft-locks because of buggy game mechanics are still entirely possible. The game is loved in spite of its enormous earth shattering flaws, not because of them.

CS is still so fucking buggy and unstable that essentially nobody even tries to make mods for it anymore, and even fewer still actually play it. Even the Slavs have given up long ago, and moved onto trying to fix SoC, or make mods on the more stable CoP.

>budget title
Retard. THQ spent millions on this shit.

I've been waiting since CoP and I'll wait forever if I have to. I waited for SoC when it was vaporware. My expectations are a game, I don't care what it is, but if I could beg for anything it'd be something like how Gunslinger looks with co-op.

>weather mechanics
>weather proof clothing and shelters
>gun customization
>recruit your own faction
>even cheeki breekier

>shoestring budget and resources
They had millions and multiple years of support from THQ. They had a ton of ambitions, tho.

>did you even play the game on release?
My copy of SoC 1.0 is sitting less than 10 feet away from me. Buggy? Sure. Still loved it. Maybe I just like janky games.

It's only 3.6 roentgen, I'm told it's the equivalent of a chest x-ray.

Attached: 17777.jpg (640x671, 67K)

We all loved it, that doesn't mean it wasn't a quantifiable pile of shit. I doubt you've played 1.0 in 10 years regardless of how fondly you remember it. Even disregarding mods just 1.0 compared to fully updated is almost a whole new game.

>What are your expectations?
GSC to hire half-way competent people this time and turn out a stable shithole sandbox simulator. If we're lucky, we might get a decent story out of it as well.

The x-ray engine isn't very pretty, but it is at least stable at this point, and would make for a decent base.

>one stalkerish multiplayer game that went absolutely nowhere
That would be Survarium. Half of Yea Forums was rooting for it after they left GSC. The release was a Hellgate: London level disaster.

Attached: 1390265771875.jpg (500x387, 32K)

I have none. At this point, I'm simply hoping it doesn't get canned again.

it'll release, even if it's really bad and practically unplayable, it'll sell a lot on release

we all actually bought the games this time so they actually have money

It's on unreal

>unreal
>probably means ebin store exclusive
The wishgranter is a fickle bitch.

It'll come out and be horribly dumbed down and completely lacking any personality but people new to the series will thoroughly enjoy it while spitting on the old games and declaring they were always shit.
Basically it'll be the next Monster Hunter World.
