I replace all my thumbsticks with $2 aluminum ones fom ebay. Even if they don't fit the controller (Like the Gamecube) I still adapt them because I hate rubber.

If the stick mechanism itself is still good, you can easily replace the stick with a xbone stick, a wiimote stick, a wii u controller stick, or you can buy a new set of sticks/buttons for 3 bucks on ebay
