Just finished FC for the first time. The entire time I couldn't help but see the similarities between Gon and Estelle
>Both grew up in the country and for the most part of ignorant about anything outside their home town
>Both love to fish and are good at it
>Both are prone to being overwhelmed by complicated explanations and technology
>Hunters are basically Bracers
>Gon sets off to become a hunter and find his dad
>Estelle sets off to become a fully pledge Bracer and find her dad
>They are both ignorant of their dad's past and run into his old friends along the way
>Both are interested in learning about their dad's past from said friends
>Both travel with a friend that they consider a brother
>Killua and Joshua come from dark backgrounds but don't tell Gon/Estelle about it
>Both are trained assassins that have kill many people are feared because of it
>Killua and Joshua both have scenes where they get super pissed when someone threatens Gon/Estelle
>Both of their "brothers" ditch them to protect them from their own past
>Killua and Joshua consider that time together the best part of their lives
>Killua and Joshua are both being manipulated by someone from their past
I feel like I had more but this is all I could think of off the top of my head.
Haven't started SC yet but I'm assuming the stories going to go similarly to how Gon saved Killua from his past
