Just finished FC for the first time. The entire time I couldn't help but see the similarities between Gon and Estelle
>Both grew up in the country and for the most part of ignorant about anything outside their home town >Both love to fish and are good at it >Both are prone to being overwhelmed by complicated explanations and technology >Hunters are basically Bracers >Gon sets off to become a hunter and find his dad >Estelle sets off to become a fully pledge Bracer and find her dad >They are both ignorant of their dad's past and run into his old friends along the way >Both are interested in learning about their dad's past from said friends >Both travel with a friend that they consider a brother >Killua and Joshua come from dark backgrounds but don't tell Gon/Estelle about it >Both are trained assassins that have kill many people are feared because of it >Killua and Joshua both have scenes where they get super pissed when someone threatens Gon/Estelle >Both of their "brothers" ditch them to protect them from their own past >Killua and Joshua consider that time together the best part of their lives >Killua and Joshua are both being manipulated by someone from their past
I feel like I had more but this is all I could think of off the top of my head.
Haven't started SC yet but I'm assuming the stories going to go similarly to how Gon saved Killua from his past
Some shitty kid who threatened to kill an innocent blind girl.
Ethan Young
to be fair, most of those are pretty common tropes, so, you're comparison is pretty fucking retarded
Michael Nguyen
That's a bit of a stretch. Estelle was interested in her dad's past but learning about it was never a major goal for her, much less her main goal. And comparing Hunters and Bracers is especially a big stretch. Hunters cover a wide range of things and are caught up in many dubious activities while Bracers are essentially an international police force that puts the safety of civilians above all else.
Easton Gray
You have a fucking brain damage They don't share anything other than being a shounen protagonist Come back when Gon will spend like 80% of the story trying to get fucked by a member of the opposed sex Oh and when he is literally one of the weakest characters in the entire story
Cameron Hughes
The difference is that i want to cum inside Estelle
You never had a male friend of the same age? Fuck fujos
Angel Parker
Fair. I don't watch much anime and the only other I could think of is Goku but I always thought Gon's creation was inspire by Goku.
David Rogers
I never got the impression that Estelle was weak in FC. She seemed to have a lot of talent. Granted she's not a freak of nature like Gon is but by the end of it she seems to be recognized as strong by most.
Elijah Smith
>I never got the impression that Estelle was weak in FC No, she is crappy. The only role she can really play is being a tank and buff/heal bot while Joshua is already shitting White Gehennas. She will never catch up to either Renne or Joshua in terms of damage and her best ability is to fucking cheer the entire team which also ties nicely to the story since her main trait is her radiant personality and sturdy head. She is still bad in Sen 4, mind you. Her s-crafts are single target. It's laughable.
I see what you mean. I used her as support during my play through. But I what I meant is in context of the story no one sees her as weak by the end of it.
Lincoln Mitchell
user, she was literally trained in a joke weapon. Her job is to cheer up her super soldier husband and daughter.
Evan Robinson
>Her job is to cheer up her super soldier husband and daughter. Rean you mean?
Did you also kiss him and bath with him and wear tiny shorts? Fuck normalfags
Joshua Cruz
Story-wise she is just "okay" to pull through while being surrounded by much stronger people. Her greatest victory in FC is being able to gank and fight off Loewe who wasn't even trying in a battle you're supposed to lose. But nobody is ever amazed or terrified with her combat performance the same way Gon made people shit their pants. That's mostly reserved for Joshua who made Vander shiver after their 1vs1.
Ryan Perry
Its almost media in general tends to repeat the same bunch of tropes. And yes that is exactly how SC goes.
Gabriel Ramirez
So I was suppose to lose that? I figured as much when it took me so long to kill that fucker
Hunterchads I’m currently in the Chimera Ant arc(episode 96) and I feel like the story is just slowing to a crawl. I was hooked on HxH from episode 1 and even through this arc but knowing I have almost 40 more episodes of this makes me not want to watch. Should I just read the rest of it and skip to the Election arc?
Ryder Gray
If your 100 eps in and really still wanna skip, just go for it? Suprised you made it so far with that kind of mentality I'd just soldier through if I was so throughly invested enough to wanna see the end
Ayden Kelly
Stick with it. The ant arc slows down then ramps up as the end gets closer.
