>DOG SPELLED BACKWARDS IS GOD HOLY SHIT
I didn't like it because it felt like a completely different game. The only thing it had going for it was its story and tie-in to the other dlc
>SHIT SPELLED BACKWORDS IS THIS
I might have liked dead money more if the dlc game play wasn't so god damn awful. Hell, dead money would be one of my favorite of the dlc if the radios weren't in it
Good idea with shitty execution
The worst dlc for NV. trash weapons and trash game play with an interesting but flawed story.
i think the cloud should have been used more sparingly but more potent when it was used
>baby's first morale
So i guess you didn't understand it
>worst dlc for NV
How can you say that when Honest Hearts is included?
I had more fun with Honest Hearts than I did with Dead Money desu
Yeah, because you're dumb
I enjoyed Honest Hearts more because it was just more of the base game, but in a small new world with new enemies and locations. I did not like Dead Money because it was nothing like the base game.
What did you enjoy most about Dead Money? What made you not enjoy Honest Hearts?
Dead Money was interesting, Honest Hearts wasn't
Lonesome road was best change my mind
I play games for fun, not because they have interesting stories. I did like the characters and story of Dead Money, but that doesn't add to my enjoyment in any way.
Dead Money and Old World Blues both exist
good taste my friend
>I play games for fun, not because they have interesting stories
Mechanics are meaningless without contextualization
>noclips my way past you
EZPZ
>stacking them all and lifting them out with you
And a good story makes for a shitty game if it doesn't have fun mechanics. Dead Money just wasn't fun to play, and no amount of story can make up for that.
Maybe not to you. I had fun outsmarting Elijah, the Madre, and the web of greed.
I thought New Vegas was full of "babby's first philosophy" lessons and a bunch of pretentious writing but Dead Money was absolute kino. Dean Domino is probably the most well written character in any medium of entertainment.
>'it's about letting go'
>99% of the people playing this just glitched out the gold bars anyway
Go read a book and go back to Resetera.
But HH had the two best written characters in the DLC, one of which you only read about through notes you find
I glitched the gold bars out but did nothing but throw them in my Novac house cabinet.
The real treasure was gaining a shit ton of Sierra Madre chips and buying all the weapon repair kits I could so that I can repair expensive guns at near 0 cost to resell them to all the traders for mad caps.
This is why you're a virgin.
you would like fallout 3
you might even like fallout 4 better ...
Aren't you one too?
Of course I am.
I am going to try the hottest meme right now.
have sex
Also I am looking to play through New Vegas again but ever since there was an update that made European countries get the shitty enclczru version, my game started to crash very often. Should I just pirate an older pal version or something for stability?
You can actually take all the gold bars if you know what you're doing.
The " In case we weren't clear in the base game fuck you and your enjoyment of free form exploration in video games" the DLC.
I believe it when anons say the story was top tier. Shame they put all that tedium in the way.
>t. buttmad stealth sniper
>Not even worth it if you know what you're doing
I only ever gave .308 to Boone anyhow
I see no reason not to start with 10 int. You get more skill points.
Open console, type tgm, stand in front of radio until collar pops. You can now play whole DLC without the radios affecting you.
>t.lobotomite
good taste
So what's the deal with the gold bars? Do you even really need money that much in New Vegas?
Liberating garden gnomes was more fun than Dead Money gameplay to me so I dropped it.
Are LOD mods good and do they tax performance?
Lod mods?
Mods that improve the distant level of detail.
LOD mods are great, but they do demand increased performance. My PC is able to render the entire basic map at least on a 1080 TI but I don't know about you.
Not for me then, thanks.
only people with a low IQ want DLC to exist
"Ludonarrative" is done constantly now but Dead Money did it in 2010 with the gold bars and it did it better than pretty much any other game. It had 4 very well written believable characters, it forced you to play by its rules instead of playing as an all powerful God like the rest of the DLCs, it offered a variety of outcomes that don't feel black and white, and overall it accomplished everything it set out to do. A small complete experience that is unlike anything else in the series. Ultimate pleb filter.
Real talk, Dead Money is the second best DLC. Old World Blues is just too good. Lonesome Road has a good challenge and Ulysses is interesting, but it's a little boring and nonsensical. Honest Hearts is a cool location with interesting items, and Joshua Graham is the best character, but otherwise it's boring and sucks.
You. You and I are best friends now.
>The real treasure was gaining a shit ton of Sierra Madre chips
Agree, but I traded them in for Prewar money and bought whatever I wanted from every shop for the rest of the game.
9 int, then you run to the New Vegas Medical Clinic. Gives you an extra point to put somewhere else.
I used to think exactly this and after about 15 or so games I realized that actually rping instead of being a god at everything was considerably more fun
I think the idea of the DLC itself is so fucking cool, like a futuristic casino that still "lives" after the apocalypse? It's so out there, and so perfect for FNV. Had a great theme, tie in characters, loot, and companions. The worst part were the radios being kind of annoying but that's about it
I enjoyed the survival aspects of it, especially on hardcore where your health constantly drains so you really have to explore and make sure you have enough resources.
Visually it looks kinda boring though, everything is the same purple-ish shade and the enemy design is kinda bland, would've liked something a bit more spooky because the atmosphere is still there.
Post media with DM feel.

The story of Dean Domino, Sinclair, and Vera is top tier. Also Christine is a qt. I love the story. Once you got into the casino the DLC became a 8/10 fuck the village though
Also the real cash money is not the bars but the WEIGHTLESS prewar cash you get from the casino you get like what 100,000 caps if you just do the casino minigames and that isn't even counting selling random shit to the holograms for even more prewar cash I walked out with like 200k or 150k in prewar cash
Randall Dean Clark would like a word with you.
I still don't know how to get LODgen to work and I used guides. I'm on MO2.
I just use Dusty Distance to hide the shitty LOD
>walk into canyon
>kill not-native americans
>leave
Wow bro so fun and interesting. It doesn't even add anything to the worldbuilding. It felt like a mod.
you can take all the gold bar but you cant sell a single one
>dissing honest hearts
It was fun and showed how the world around the mojave is fairing, including showing how the Legion grows.
Also, Joshua Graham carries the story.
>walk into canyon
>kill a bunch of guys
>leave
nice story, bro
>Enter Valley
>Talk to character
>Collect 3 things
>Talk to another character
>Collect 3 things
>Make decision for final quest
>Leave
Joshua and the Survivor are the only good things from that DLC.
>walk into mojave
>kill a bunch of guys
>leave
nice story, bro
I would add Waking Cloud because damn I want to put some babies in her
The rest of the game had actual stuff going on though. Honest Hearts was literally just killing some people in a canyon. In the Mojave there's reason behind the killing and actual quests beyond "go in, grab thing so you can leave, leave". You had to track down Benny, decide between House, NCR, Legion etc., make actual decisions that affected the story and such. All HH had was killing anything that stood in your way and then leaving. There was barely any dialogue.
The radios were not that terrible only like one or maybe two sections lol. All you had to do was pay attention to your surroundings
People with high IQ don't play the pile of shit that is NV
Wait. When you entered the canyon did you just kill every native in sight? One of them was a quest character.
Dead Money has literally the best mid-late weapons in the game. The Holorofle is fucking broken. Even the shitty assault rifle tears shit up with a build.
Nice now post a wojak next time so we can officially laugh at you
But that's something a New Vegas fag would do
topkek.jpeg
Ok cool you go me fag now go dilate like a good tranny
YES. Exactly. OWB is the best.
>Wojak bad
>buzzwords good
The only good thing about this shit heap of a DLC is the BAR, and taking all the golden bars and filling your bathtub at the lucky 38 with them.
t. actual brainlet
Honest Hearts skyrockets to the top by virtue of NPC of the decade
Now jannie do I have to tell you about the 40 percent suicide rate ? Why dont you just fuck off
What is it about righteous religious characters that make them so top tier
This. Seems like this archetype is so relatable even when the religion isn’t, like the Arbiter from Halo.
It’s just satisfying to see characters be both inspired and humbled by reverence.
I fucking love the firm, complete determination from Joshua Graham. He's made up his mind, and he knows that god wills it.
Fuck, he's past that. It's not even an issue. It's a chore. It's just something he's been ordained to do.
Graham is the pinnacle of alphadom.
99% of the time when a character is hyped up in fiction they end up falling short of their legends. Joshua Graham turned out better than the fable of the burned man.
>he might have been even more ruthless before the burning
>now he's ruthless with faith
That's what it is. It's Legion strength and ruthlessness, but instead of their faith being in Caesar, his faith is in god. And somehow that makes it SO much better.
even though the legion are objectively right, fuck nipton.
Morons like you are the reason Fallout 3, 4 and 76 exist, kill yourself.
Fuck you, dead money. I stole the Gold and didn't learn shit.
