You can legitimately lower your ilvl once you get into the fight, below the requirement, and still easily pull the required dps to clear.

I don't really get what people want from this game. A never ending main story quest? For the people that don't want to craft or something because it's a bit grindy, I get that, I recommend them to try to get into raiding, but then they just scream about raid trannies or some weird shit that occupies their mind all the time.

I've hopped around quite a few statics during SB and never quite experienced "filled with drama" shit. The worst shit that happens is that there is one person who is holding the static back and the static leader refuses to replace so you just go to a different static.

Also you can pug all of savage it just takes some time. I pugged deltascape pre echo to build a bit of a resume for myself before finding a static. .

I was away for a week and ended up in a similar situation. Eventually managed a clear as SCH but didn't get my weapon, and then went to help a returning friend who had called in his hardcore raiding friends.

Got stuck with another SCH that was fully geared, but somehow managed to outperform them in damage AND healing. 67 or something for damage.

You'll be fine without your weapon.

So with Hydaelyn and Zodiark being confirmed as Primals, what does this leave the 12 to be? They're able to be somewhat summoned by prayer as seen in the final quest of 1.0 and End of an Era. They are strong enough to hold Bahamut in a non physical form, albeit for only a few seconds. Are they primals as well?

My experience with statics was so poor during Coil that I swore off them, though it left me further embittered when I didn't even try to pug Alex or Omega, of course it's mostly on me.
The first four fights of Eden were amazing though so it's got me wanting to at least try crawling through PF to get this set done, though I'll likely never do A or O at this point.

I just wanted Blu to be a real class or at least to get strong enough to play it as a main while solo or to do the story with it.

From the moment I arrived in Ishgard and the Ishgard Day Theme "Solid" swelled to its crescendo to the moment when I defeated Ravana about an hour ago... I can safely say that this has been the best experience I've had in an MMO to date. I am a WoW and SWTOR vet, though I also have RIFT and BD:O experience, and nothing even comes close to rivaling this.

The music... What can I say? Music is my favorite part of the human experience. I love music festivals, concerts, etc. I am rarely seen without headphones on. Music keeps me sane, to be honest. I can safely say FFXIV: Heavensward has some of the best orchestral music I've ever heard. I was (and still am) blown away by just how perfectly the Ishgard theme "Solid" captures its setting. I actually just sat at my PC for nearly 30 minutes just soaking in the music and the environment of Ishgard before even going to Fortemps Manor.

When I finally made my way to Fortemps Manor, the game hit me with the Pillars night theme "Nobility Sleeps," which is somehow even better than "Solid." I sat outside of the manor just listening to it until night became day. It's dangerous for me to go into Ishgard with the music on because I may just sit there and lose myself to the score. (I'm currently listening to "Nobility Sleeps" as I write this.)

I really only wanted to talk about the music, but a couple of other things I've truly loved up to now:

- Fighting Primals is a blast. The Ravana fight specifically is a spectacle to behold. WoW boss fights taken as a whole pale in comparison to this single experience. The music, the mechanics, the chaos... Wonderful!

- Chasing down the heretics through the ice and snow up to meeting Lady Iceheart. Fantastic. It's extremely rare for a game to make you feel truly alone and in danger. I thought it impossible in an MMO, but here we are.

- Trial by combat. I never knew how much I needed to partake in a trial by combat in a video game until Tataru was in need of a champion to stan

Ff14 is meant to be considered as a full fleshed game. Its main game is really good, its side games are ok (like leveling your alts, doing your craft, doing the other gimmicks), the end game grind is trash, but the encounters are extremely good.

Good FCs have a house next to a market board, and they're dirt cheap to teleport to. You'll have easy access to repairs, melding, and storage.
You can also get company buffs like increased combat/craft/gather XP, increased MGP, reduced teleporting rates, faster spiritbonding.

They are pretty good about mechanics and I'm fairly certain Urianger cheats in terms of his healing potencies.

Sohm Al is better in my experience; the AI handles Vault mechanics like absolute shit. But yes, it slows down post-50. It's pretty much 1 level per run up to that point, but quickly slows to 1 level every 2~3 runs.

Because I never played FF14 for the story. I never played FF14 for the community or hardcore content either. I like the music, I like that I can level sync to old content, I like the fights and I like that each class plays different enough that they don't feel the same. Now do I like the Palace of the Dead/Heaven on High grind as a DPS? No, but it's a small price to pay for liking the gameplay.

Reminder the only difference between WoW and FFXIV is one focuses more on the story than the other. At the end of the day they're both no better than 2 siblings fighting over who has the better drawing.

Its still pretty easy in average. There are maybe one or two encounters per raid tiers that are arguably a bit harder on the heals. Given that the mechanics are played well. Healers have an intentional easier base role, so they have more leeway to cover up mistakes.

Getting good is also knowing where the tank is not pulling out his weight. A successful pull is made so with the collaboration of all players. If the dps is too slow, the tank health or the healer mp will collapse. If the tank doesn't evade avoidable damage or pop the right cooldowns at the right time, they are making themselves near impossible to keep alive. If the healers doesn't know how to intelligently use his resource, he is going to let his tank die or end up oom.

Emet-Selch wanted the Exarch to figure out how he traveled backwards in time, probably so he could either prevent Hydaelyn's summoning or prevent the Amaurotine calamity from happening in the first place. The latter depends on if he can reason that as not being against Zodiark's will to prevent his summoning from ever being a necessity, since he says he's tempered; I think it's possible since restoration of the world is well within Zodiark's intended purview.
