Endgame consists of a 4 boss raid and replaying the "newer" dungeons for currency farm to buy armor. Most of your max level players end up afk-ing the appropriate hubs for endgame vendors which in this case will be Eulmore. The best way to play is to either do a week of a new Content patch or the release of each raid tier, there is no long lasting content outside of the Savage raids.

If you need that uptime to clear Titania then there are more pressing issues.

I wasted the first 2 days actually doing sidequests for some reason before realizing they're awful. I watch a video on every dungeon because I don't want to be that guy but everyone ignores mechanics anyway so I've probably wasted hours doing that. I also don't play 6+ hours every single day. You probably didn't bother unlocking all of the hard mode vanilla dungeons as well, that alone wasted a ton of time and I only did it to get all of the blue quests off my map because I'm autistic. I could be a shitter but there doesn't seem to be much to shit up yet. Everything in ARR content just melts while everyone ignores mechanics even with level/item scaling. Doing all of ARR Hildibrand at once took me another full day. Maybe I'm a bit of a slow reader.

Most MMO players, WoW or not, are shitters and a game design around the person who has little time to play like FFXIV will inevitably create a player base where most people suck cause the gameplay has a giant discrepancy in difficulty where there is no middle ground between face roll and "Know your Class". You get 6 a day they cap at 100 so you're probably sitting on 100 leves.
Find a guide that details which leves you should be doing at what level and where they Levemete (quest giver) is

There is an option that can help if for some reason you have trouble with that.
Not like they aren't lightshows yeah, but effects are pretty clear most of the time
For ARR you unlock levemetes on any of the main cities, they are good for crafting because you receive double the EXP rewards for delivering high quality items, leve kits are a thing, people usually buy the materials needed to run back and forth completing leves and going all the way up to 50 or 60

But the world and lore are excellent from the start, which is pretty much the same situation as WOW which is boring Collect 99 bear asses quests until end game.
The immersiveness and attention to detail in the game world is what makes those 100 hours still a joy to play. It literally feels more like Final Fantasy than any game since probably V, except for XII. A richly detailed fantasy world with an excellent visual style, an addictive job system, that feeling when you finally get your first Chocobo and when the world opens up, it's just a great experience that keeps you going until the story gets good.

WVR will allow you to make your own crafting sets for other crafters when you are out of leves and have to grind. I recommend it if you want to lvl BTN too.
CUL will give you money at endgame, but Reclaim is a really good skill (90% chance to recover all mats if you botch the craft)
If this is your first crafter I would go with boosting WVR for the utility.

There's no gameplay difference between PS4 and PC. Anything you can do in-game PC you can do in-game PS4. Obviously can't use 3rd party tools.

You have to put in effort yourself to be sociable. Join a free company, chat with people in dungeons or when you're in the same overworld area. Most people are pretty friendly in my experience.

I was certainly interested from the start in the backstory of the races, the sailor/port culture of Limsa Lominsa, what the empire was, what the beast races were, etc. You don't get a whole lot of it at the start but it got me interested, and then learning about the kingdom of Ul'dah and all that stuff was a change of pace.

It's pretty much on par with talking to all the NPCs in the other FF games to learn about the various cultures and backstory, it just doesn't have a great story to pull you along.

It’s an actually good jrpg that also happens to be an mmo, if you don’t want either of those things then you won’t like it. If you are looking for a long and satisfying journey with kickass boss fights and great music and sights along the way, then it’s for you.

But wowplayers who are looking for a new endgame of farming raids each week and having the best gear? Bad choice at the moment, the game has a mandatory and very long story, that’s what makes it a great jrpg and gives it that journey. If you don’t want that journey and you just want to grind raids, move on, the game isn’t for you. Every other mmo is like that except for ESO, there’s no reason that every mmo has to be exactly the same. This one is doing it’s own thing and it’s doing it very well.

they're optional and they're entire classes that you level, they're not something you do as you level your character. You hit level 80 on a class, then you switch to a profession class and level from 1 to 80.

New player here that just finished the base game, DPS queues have been consistently 3-5 minutes for me except for two endgame 8-mans that nobody likes to run because everyone is forced to watch the cutscenes at a set pace. Those took like 15 minutes for queue to pop.

I leveled glad-pal to 50 and have had multiple runs consisting of DPS accidentally pulling a pat or another group, then I have to grab them or else my healer and DPS dies, then I get blamed for "pulling the whole room" despite my blind DPS and healers pulling other trash that we dont need.

It's pretty above average but I'd hardly call it the best and even great songs lose their magic if you're listening to them on loop.

I don't think it's as bad as an hour but really it's going to depend on the time you try to enter a dungeon
If you do it close to the reset time (I think it's 4pm UK time for me) you'll probably have a shorter wait since everyone is trying to do their dalies while doing it at unsociable hours or a few hours before the daily reset you'll get a longer wait.

Not played it but they look fun, From what I've seen it's something of a high skill cap tank
They can be fairly squishy but if you pop your CD's correctly you could pick up the slack for a bad healer or DPS.
As for races, They have a very, very minimal effect
While races do have their own individual stats it's next to negligible.

At some point you can unlock daily missions where NPC's will give you shit to craft, It takes maybe an hour a day but you'll be able to get your crafting toa decent level doing that.

Yes you will get all the expansions with a purchase of Shadowbringers. If you are a completely new player you can just buy the all in one bundle and get everything at once instead of having to buy the base game and shadowbringers separately.

Dungeon queue times vary and because of the expansion they are in flux as hordes of people are drawn to the new jobs but they aren't too bad. The longest queue time I've had in the past couple of weeks as a DPS was like 25 minutes tops. Usually not that long at least on my datacenter.

Dark Knight is fine for tanking and race choice has negligible impact (think single digit stat differences when level cap gear gives hundreds of points per piece) so play whatever you think looks best.

Crafted gear is not required but it can be very helpful in gearing up quickly. If you hate crafting you can buy it yourself or ask someone in your FC if they can craft it but you may not need it at all.
