You didn't pause long enough because you were nervous and afraid of the awkward silence, so now you have a few minutes to go before you reach your destination. And he still has not said anything. It's crazy how the engine, the game's basic functionalities, the sound design all work flawlessly but still it's a pretty boring experience altogether. Quiet learned Navajo earlier as part of being a covert ops assassin for Cypher.
This comes up in the tapes when Venom and Code Talker discuss how the US military used Navajo to transmit top secret battlefield messages so the Soviets couldn't decode them and that's where the name "code talker" comes from (although Code Talker wasn't actually one of the code talkers used to relay messages lel)
