Better balancing. At ranked launch and for a pretty substantial time this wasn't an issue. Now it is, cause they introduced retarded heroes that fuck up the meta and the game so badly they can't balance them properly.

For high level ranked play it's expected because diamond players are like the top 5% of ow players (I think) so its hard to find an even skilled match.
Now that it's even further segmented into role que's it's going to be even fucking longer because there are less high level support players than there are dps and tanks.

It's actually the opposite, though. The problem is that playing DPS is not viable and the characters that just hold up shields or heal for the whole game are unbeatable.

Sometimes part of balancing is admitting that you fucked up. Way back when the game first came out, they realized they had fucked up by not limiting the number of each individual character, now they've realized they fucked up by allowing freeform comps with any number of any class.

What's the problem with carrying ults between classes? It would even allow for novel strategies like playing a character that builds ult more quickly and then switching to a character with a strong ult.
I fucking miss being able to make your own maps, I wish games had that more. I don't understand why newer games are so hesitant to add mapping tools and shit. Even Doom 2016 has a bare bones map maker. Playing Valve games with custom maps was great. One TF2 server I played on constantly put out new custom maps for people to test and try out.

Pulling off that theoretical technique would also be more difficult than it appears on paper since you would need to abandon the fight long enough to switch characters in order to do it, and you would need to coordinate with your team to change your composition at just the right time while still having a healer.
What IS inherently bad is stuns in a 1st person game. Stuns will always be a bad mechanic and if other aspects of the game break without stuns as a bandaid, then those aspects of the game should be changed.
