In Battlefront 2, you have to play roughly 40 hours of multiplayer matches to build up enough in-game currency just to unlock Darth Vader or Luke Skywalker.

Most of them are Japanese and run mostly in Japan, so you can't regulate them unless you annex Japan

Depends on the DLC. Sometimes you get devs paywalling you out of content that should be in the game already, sometimes it's well worth the money and you get either more of a good game or an entirely new experience. If it's cosmetic DLC you only have yourself to blame

they can sorta do the warframe way. jews can spend way too much time playing to farm for extremely rare items to sell for in game cash, and goys that are too lazy can pay big bucks and buy the item from them. only issue is whether the jew has anything that he wants to use the money for, theres premium cosmetics and thats usually a pretty good draw but its not as big of a rabbit hole compared to lootboxes/gatcha with p2w elements

Cosmetics and minor insignificant boosts/convenience stuff.
Cash shop currency can also be unlocked by grinding/playing, you just have to be more selective and safe for stuff you really want.

I've never once had a problem with that. For me it's when they start restricting the amount of gameplay(premium classes or areas), make it so you can buy all the powerful items from the cash shop(which means making every new cash shop item added really unbalanced to drum up sales), or basic features that make playing the game a chore(restricting bag space and that kind of garbage) where I just lose all interest.

Warframe still suffers heavily from every new item being horribly unbalanced in order to boost initial whale sales, and making sure that playing the game will be an awful experience unless you pay/spend all your platinum unlocking weapon and warframe slots and other shit like that.

That said I do like they they give you opportunities to get cosmetics and other neat stuff from just playing the game by doing special missions or something, makes actually getting them fun. Shame they decided to go for that horrible Nightwave "do X 100 times" bullshit that offers no entertainment value what so ever.

gacha is tied to phone games. No one cares about phone games and no one cared about loot boxes because they also started in phone games.

A sad part of life is realizing that most gachas on the market offer more of a game than most games nowadays. Everything is a scam so you might as well go to the platform where you're not complaining about SJW outrage.

It's not even the gacha element that gets me, it's that the games themselves are always so terrible, like the best you can say is that it's almost as good as a really mediocre console/PC game.

It just fucking blows my mind that people spend money on these games, and it's not JUST a waifu thing, I see people who spend hundreds to just get the top tier characters gameplay-wise.

If it was only a waifu thing I'd understand since there are hundreds of terrible otaku pandering games a year with really low quality gameplay that focus on cute girls and boobs or lolis, but you just pay for those once and you move on after you put some hours into it.
With these games, it's like, why don't you just play an actual MMO if you want to spend hours grinding out repetitive content trying to get the most optimal PVP builds? How the fuck are there actually people this invested in such bad gameplay?

I even tried playing some like SMT Dx2, the Kingdom Hearts one, the Fate/Whatever one, even Granblue when it was first possible to play in English, it was a fun novelty for a few hours but then the incredibly shallow gameplay bored me and I had no interest paying for better characters when I could emulate a console game or just play an MMO at home. It's baffling to me.

Then why not just play an actual full fledged one where you don't have to pay extra for characters and content and the story isn't drip fed to you?

I've been playing GBF for a year+ and I still haven't caught up to the story, so that part's not a concern. As for the characters, Nier broke my obsessive need to see all the content a game has to offer so I'm content with what I get from free rolls.

But gatcha games are for anime girl jpgs, therefor they're based and redpilled!
