Exactly. Twewy really does feel like a fluke when you look at modern SE's track record. I dont trust them with any IP at all nowadays. A twewy sequel wouldve been perfect during the DS era or 3DS era the latest because double screens are the best way to play.

I believe the first game had a solid end...but the iOS port made a new sequel bait tease, then the switch port teased even more. TWEWY is one of my all-time favorite games. I love everything about it.

I never want a sequel. A sequel can only tarnish the characters and story of the first. Even with new characters, there's not a whole lot more narrative depth to be plundered from the ideas. It would only serve to be a cash grab, and I do not want that.

I played it that way actually, in bed on handheld mode with he Switch on a stand. The gyro itself is the problem. It isn't fun. Pins are tedious to activate, aiming isn't fun and for some reason Neku gets a stupidly amazing dodge which means you will never ever get hit.

Depends entirely on how much you can stomach the gyro controls. For some people it's an improvement, for some people it's meh, and for some it outright ruins the game completely.

The story and characters in both games are great, along with the music. As for the gameplay, TWEWY is an ARPG that takes full advantage of the touchscreen and dual screens to great effect and tons of depth and variety in how you can build your moveset. As for 999, it’s a visual novel with puzzle solving and multiple endings.

There’s not really much to shitpost about when it comes to TWEWY. The game’s basically a cult classic with a ton of passion and creativity poured into it. You gotta respect it just for that alone.

TWEWY is basically like Nero and Square is like Vergil in where he refuses to acknowledge his son's existence and potential.

That would be a dream come true but TWEWY or Neku for simplicity sake would have to fight the other Square series to gain more power. No malice towards them though it's just that Neku has taken the backseat long enough.
