Warband is great. One of the best games I've played. Also assuming that you're talking about GG, don't buy Rev1. Buy the the Rev 2 all in one pack without the optional dlc.

it's good. It's got problems with vanilla but the game is absolutely playable on ps4. Controller is awkward as fuck though and I wouldn't recommend it. If you can afford getting it on ps4 and pc, do so, otherwise I'd say rev2 on ps4, then warband on pc
Mods don't add nearly as much as people are bullshitting you about. Diplomacy, and some tourney mods are the only worthwhile mods, and people just bundle them in with a bunch of shitty map edits and rebalancing (that sucks and introduce WAY more problems than they fix). I still play vanilla or vanilla+diplomacy way more than I play any other garbage mode like pop or gekikujo.
