Mario kart, drifting feels a lot more natural and isn't as dependent on knowing track shortcuts.
CTR your drift direction isn't set until you land, MK it's set as soon as you jump, so you can set your counter steer direction mid air.

Mario Kart is fine for what it is, a casual experience that anyone can pick up and play. CTR though just feels much better with its more robust driving mechanics.

ctr is better in every way except music and characters, but they give you enough skins for the good ones that it doesnt really matter

Mario Kart has way fewer bad characters, but also way fewer good ones. I don't really feel anything one way or another toward Mario characters, they're all just kinda there. They just want to cover the faces everyone knows instead of trying to come up with unique or interesting designs.

without cheating, you have to get gold in the special cup 150cc race, which unlocks the all-star cup which you have to get gold in. This unlocks the mirror mode, and you have to get gold in the special cup in the mirror mode to unlock King Boo + Petey Piranha

user, to unlock Digital N.Tropy you need to beat the Oxide time ghost on EVERY SINGLE TRACK
you have to play each track AT LEAST 3 times
1 to unlock the N.Tropy time ghost 2 to beat the N.Tropy time ghost and unlock Oxides time ghost 3 to beat Oxides time ghost

Haven't played CTR, but Mario Kart is like 10% actual skill which constitutes basically just knowing shortcuts and the track layout. Literally everything else is a factor of luck due to bullshit item RNG.
