I think cultist simulator actually captures the feeling of lovecrafts stories pretty well. You start out as a regular dude and then catch a small glimpse of some hidden truth and slowly descend into doing really weird occult shit in pursuit of knowledge while. Takes a few rounds to really get into the game tho
