I'm fucking angry. Let me just start by saying I don't care for The Last of Us, wasn't really that invested in the story or the gameplay but Druckman is a fucker for getting you to care so much about Joel and Sarah's wholesome relationship right at the start of the game.
I can't stop thinking about how comfy their life together was and how they were so loving and got along so well. And it was all ruined by a run of the mill zombie virus in a time where the zombie fad was on it's way out.

The point of killing off Sarah was so players can understand why Joel chose to damn humanity instead of saving it when he made Ellie into his surrogate daughter. The dude would rather let the world burn than lose another daughter like that.
