How did he talk shit about so many other games and directors and then release Devil's Third? Do you think he sees the irony?

If others make mistakes, it's their incompetence.

If he makes mistakes, they were never mistakes and the players were just playing wrong.

Devil's Third was in development hell, none of the developers he talked shit about where even remotely in the same position, in fact they were at Capcom and Bamco and had more resources than Itagaki ever has or will.

None of his games have ever been good.

He's a cookie

but Ninja Gaiden Black is one of the best action games of all time

i don't really think he has room to talk shit when he creates a game literally centered around hot girls with boobs playing volleyball.

>in fact they were at Capcom and Bamco and had more resources than Itagaki ever has or will
I don't think Platinum Games had a lot of resources when they released Bayonetta

What the fuck went wrong with devil's third? why is it so shit?

Wasn't there supposed to be some balls to the wall vertical combat?

What did he say about Itsuno?

He didn't make Ninja Gaiden 3 retard, he was already out of the company, why you think it was shit?

He had nothing to do with Ninja Gaiden 3.

Itagaki was one of those incredibly rare rockstar directors.

He was incredibly cocky and full of himself, but he also had a lot of great ideas and he knew how to fight for them. He was incredibly lucky by being at the right place at the right time and basically managed to surround himself with incredibly talented people who managed to bring his visions to life.

Supposedly he was hated by a lot of people at Team Ninja because he was basically a loose cannon, but it was that attitude that allowed him to create great games.

my bad, I meant Devil's third

The first game was very well received, even got positive reviews in the west of all places. Yes it was lewd, but the overall tone was one of fun and relaxation away from the darker fighting games. It was later when they added pole dancing to the sequel that early western sjws developed their hatred of the series, and then KT turned it into a garbage full-on dating sim instead of the more innocent style of the original, with the girls interacting with the player rather than each other.

Kamiya was at Capcom at the time.

What?

His own fighting games are garbage, but he was right when he criticized Virtua Fighter 5 for being too conservative.

A quick summary of these three quotes
>Kamiya: Based but not Redpilled
>Kojima: Unbased, but ultimately Redpilled
>Itagaki: Based and Redpilled

by their powers combined?

This. He was a maverick. He had vision and he had clout to do as he pleased at Tecmo. It might not have always been good for the business end (pulling NG and DOA off of Sony platforms in favor of Xbox, effectively killing the brand in Japan for a generation since about 3 people there owned xboxes, over Sony's bs with DOA2 and the truckload of money MS backed up to his house), but he had the balls to defy the suits. None of DOA's directors since would ever dream of going against their masters, and the series has been a soulless husk ever since, surviving off of whales and the goodwill (and porn) that came with the new models, the last and only good idea to come out of them.

Man, Tobonobu has aged badly.

A game in which the marketing and advertising actively insults consumers, runs up a massive budget during development that leads to the termination of the creative director, and upon release is a broken, buggy mess anyway
Despite all this, it will be hailed as a 10/10, and perhaps it is

Nahh, just kidding. Those three wouldn't be able to get along long enough to accomplish anything
