This game will be a milestone in human history. Expect schools being named after Chris. No other game will ever even come close to Star Citizen's ambitious living and breathing universe, detailed ships and versatile gameplay.
>b-b-but Yea Forums said it's a scam This place has an attention span of a squirrel. Achieving quality takes time and effort of which Yea Forums only has time.
>y-y-yfw you didn't buy star citizen I get it, you're poor.
Where were you when you realized there's a masterpiece of this century on the it's way? Also Star Citizen thread.
if sony lovers are calling movies a game, I guess retards can call pngs on a website a game aswell.
Adam Ortiz
You can literally go and download the latest version of the game and start playing. Yeah It's not free, but nothing is. No one is forcing you to spend thousands of dollars.
Are Scam Citizen cultists gonna realize they were fucking played like a fiddle even in the afterlife?
Jacob Morris
And how many schools will be named after you little faggot? Just a hint - none
Evan Bennett
when do they start making GOOD looking ships though?
Dominic Scott
I bought my jpg like 2 years ago and have given up on this ever happening. Thankfully I didn't spend a large amount of money like some of the dumber supporters of this trashfire.
Justin Jackson
I am sorry I am too busy fucking your mom
If you can't find a good looking ships from this list you are literally an autist
Elijah Carter
What happened to /scg/edg/?
Nathan Ramirez
>empty Space stations and missions have been around for three years now. Multiple planets with cities an mission givers have been around for months.
Nicholas Bell
I wanted to go there and laugh at those suckers a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, it seems to be gone.
One thing I don't heard about this game is what exactly you're supposed to do in this game. What is the story, or the goal or whatever. All I've heard is you're basically an outer space truck driver. Is that it? You just ferry shit from planet to planet?
Thomas Miller
>look mom I spent my life savings on a Forza Motorsports car inspector screen but with spaceships instead of cars!
Pretty much, and you can shoot at bandits in space. Don't know if they've added hostile npcs yet.
Charles Wright
You CAN do ANNNNYTHHIINNNNGGGG
Connor Cruz
The only thing that's remotely interesting about this "game" is what the German office is creating for the tech. They are too talented to be stuck on a mismanaged mess.
Ayden Flores
no, this is seething
Carson Adams
I unironically believe this and still donate monthly upwards of $100. I'm too invested to stop now.
retards like you are why we don't have good games anymore. It's literally not required to make a good game that will sell to people at large when you can just get 10% of your target market making huge repeat purchases of literal bullshit and nothing.
Camden Murphy
Yeah. Its Elite Dangerous, but 10000x more expensive.
Ryan Perry
>I'm too invested to stop now. :^(
Ethan Price
My real unironic concern actually from all the gameplay I've seen so far isn't the typical stuff Yea Forums complains about, the ships or whatever. It's the weapons/mods, or rather lack thereof. They've sunk a ton of time into ships/stations/planets/docking blah blah, but the real thing that creates variety and a spess game should be balanced around is the ultimately the fucking guns/missiles/ewar/mods in general. If those don't feel awesome the rest doesn't matter, and I'm not convinced that can just be tacked onto hulls as an after thought. Right now it's awful, this weak little laser pointer bew bew shit. I wish they'd made like 4 ships total to start maybe, 2 smalls 1 med 1 large and then really focused on mods and then figured out new ships that can fill roles from there.
Imagine being Sandi in that scene and having to be all like "damn, Chris Roberts, you fuckin' fine, all sexy with your wool sweater and horrific caterpillar triple chin. I would totally fly a Idris with you, both my character and the real me." when all she really wants to do is suck off another German Shepard in her dressing room. Like seriously imagine having to be Sandi and not only sit in that chair while Chris Roberts flabs his disgusting fat arms in front of you,the favorable lighting barely concealing the jumbo eyebrows and deadlocked-autistic face, and just sit there, take after take, AtV after AtV, while he perfected that construct of bullshit and lies. Not only having to tolerate his "chubby" fucking visage but his egomanic attitude as everyone on set tells him he's STILL GOT IT and DAMN,CHRIS ROBERTS LIES LIKE *THAT*??because they're not the ones who have to sit there and watch his fucked up fucking gremlin face contort into types of grimaces you didn't even know existed before that day. You've been fucking nothing but a healthy mix of Bulldog and Husky and later alleged RSI staff for your ENTIRE CAREER coming straight out of the breeders in Germany. You've never even seen anything this fucking disgusting before, and now you swear you can taste the sweat that's breaking out on his fat flab stomach as he sucks it in to demonstrate landing animations suggestively at you, smugly assured that you are enjoying the opportunity to get paid to sit there and revel in his "ingenious (for that is what he calls himself)" autism, the autism he worked so hard for with personal yes-men and whale-backers in the previous years. And then that fat fuck Ben calls for another episode, and you know you could suck off every single person in this room before the studio security could put you down, but you sit there and endure, because you're fucking Sandi. You're not going to lose your future bestiality porn-star career over this.Just bear it. Hide your face and bear it.
You go around in the universe doing quests, mining and space trucking. Some missions involve dog fighting and fps combat or both with a small storyline. You aggression against other players gives you a crime stat, so the local police will try to catch you unless some other player gets to you first. There are also lawless zones for space pirates. Pretty straight forward at the moment. In the future there will be more professions available from medic to settler, cartographer, scientist. The game is destined to have player based economy so there will be a lot of options for careers.
>be with friends >managed to make a place for yourself, went through many hardships but you finally did it >be chilling at base with your boys, cheering for another job well done, sure, it was a mostly undefended merchant convoy and your base is but a hole in a asteroid, but it's yours and things are looking up >suddenly xxXX~D4rKL0rD_0F_TeH_V01d~XXxx arrives in his fully kitted out supership bought with daddy's credit card >demand that you give everything to him >fuck that m8, alright boys, to the hangar, we've got a ship to score! >the battle is brutal, the supership moves faster, is better armed, shielded and armored than everything you've got, it's ECM suite makes getting a lock impossible, you're reduced to old-school targeting while he's sniping you down left and right >nonetheless, you manage to bring him down in a spectacular show of synchronicity the likes of which can only arise from years of camaraderie and shared hardships, of a fire forged bond between you and your teammates, one of you bravely sacrifices so that the ships is in the sights of the rest of the surviving members, missiles, lasers, bullets and rockets shoot out of your ship screaming bloody vengeance for your fallen comrades, the sheild of the enemy flickers, the armor shatters, the internal superstructure buckles under your fire, a lucky shot nails the cockpit, turning the pilot in a charred red mist, the enemy ship is battered but salvageable, it will make a fine trophy, a memento of this fateful battle
>as you approach for boarding, the ship disappears >wut.jpg >a hour later the ship returns, without a single scratch, armed to the teeth and the pilot is still alive >proceeds to blast the few of you that remain to pieces >mfw faggot had lifetime insurance on that thing

>respawning in videogames What is this sorcery?
Christian Gray
>epic You fucking nigger, if you bothered to inform yourself about the game rather than polishing Chris shit-encrusted pole with your mouth you'd know that if you buy (that's right, with real money) insurance for your ship it will respawn no question asked, wouldn't want the whale that bought his way to power to feel sad wouldn't we? Oh, and normal users don't get this benefit, if your ship is destroyed and you don't have insurance you have to grind credits to buy a new one, the whale though? Lolnope!
Samuel Gray
>This game will be a milestone in human history.
When 80,000 neckbeards all commit Sudoku simultaneously around the globe.
so what'd you give up to get star citizen? Bill payments? Mortgage payment? Student loans? Your anal virginity? Some of your organs? First born son? Your eternal everlasting soul?
Liam Kelly
Aren't these things already exist in EVE online? I mean FPS compat probably not but like this "you can be anything "stuff.
Gavin Reed
I stopped following a while back, but at that point it sounded like things were actually getting worse. Originally "lifetime insurance" sounded like it might be relatively mild because zero mods covered and people could still steal or strip it. At least in EVE, high end mods are generally worth way way more then hulls themselves are. If SC had enough skill and was serious enough about sandbox and was balanced like that it'd still be kind of bullshit but not the end of the world, rich retards would just be fat targets.
But as suspected the pressure from whales has been unrelenting and it's been sounding like shit has already been pre-casualized to defend them. Which isn't surprising because that's how business pressure works, not matter the cries of "fairness" businesses tend to listen to their loudest and most valuable customers.
EVE combat is better and more realistic dogfighting in space is trash sleep inducing goosechase turning circles around each other like a dizzy insect VS tactical combat with the movements controlled by the computer AI
EVE is already the game they promised but better because it didn't grab ideas from a 12 year old 'ideas guy'
Lucas Wilson
Of course it’s a crashfag
Elijah Smith
The people with lifetime insurance will be drop in an ocean when this game drops. Like Warframe for instance, you can buy your way to through thousands of hours of grind yet none of the paypigs have any real leverage over other players. Those people will quit most likely as their game lacks a purpose. You can't enjoy a game without goals. All of the items in game are obtainable by playing the game, you'll have more fun than the paypig ever could.
>but life isn't totally fair Suck a lemon nigger
Zachary Clark
It's literally already pay to win. There's nothing even worth mentioning after that.
Adrian Brooks
that's not how lifetime insurance works. Lifetime insurance simply means that you don't have to pay for the base hull of the ship when it gets replaced.
Luis Ortiz
Well I gave 30 dollars for simple game package in some holiday sale around 2013 or 2014. Including S42 too. Eternal everlasting soul would be far fetched.

are you so far gone that you're honestly suggesting race has anything to do with preferences for space combat in computer games? sasuga user I really am impressed
Henry Jackson
Statistically speaking whites have more interest in space and sci-fi than other races. How many non-white fighter pilots have you seen? So it's not a big leap to assume a person who doesn't like space and dog fighting combined is most likely non-white. Being American does not count as white at this point. Just a sidenote. Post hand for proofs.
Adam Gomez
No, your logic is some retarded inductive bullshit lmao it's not even close to rational my guy. But just so you know even your own race hates you: I'm Aryan af bro. Blonde hair blue eyes the works. You suck. Go crawl under a rock and die. I don't need you ruining video games and society anymore.

Chase Green
As you don't want that other people call your over 100 million dollars ( money that is NOT an investment) 8 years unfinished game an scam, don't come here telling others what "is gonna be" that " you WILL be sorry". When it's done we all will see what is it. The fats are going to talk and they are talking right know about your "game".
Camden White
can't you realize the OP is a low quality bait you dumb nigger? holy shit
I get so much joy out of checking in on this scam every few months just to see how far they haven't come that I don't know what I'll do if they ever do release it. Thank fuck that'll never happen. This is the best.
Nathan Walker
There's no reason to work for your money when it's already been handed to you
I desperately wish I could refund because Chris has demonstrated how awful this project now is. Back when I backed in 2015 it looked like it was making wonderful progress, but four years later and they still have flight model reworks and issues, still have netcode issues, don't know what they're doing for most "careers" and are still selling tickets to a convention for a game that doesn't have a single system finished yet. I have less than zero confidence now.
Michael Robinson
Translation: I've spent several years bad mouthing a video game that my local internet community deemed bad upon announcement. Now a have to check back now and then to validate my previous shit posting while getting more nervous as the game is not failing to deliver as my precious anime containment board promised.
Pathetic.
Anthony Price
Everyone cries about the development lag when the reality is it's going to be 2021-22 before consumer CPU's and GPU's can even deal with it. It's going to be like wing commander shitting all over 100mhz computers again.

The whales are going to use their paid for ships to make life impossible for everyone else in game. Imagine spawning at Olisar and everyone except you already has Sabres, and they're also waiting for you to leave the armstice.
The game used to play on my 970 3570k. It now plays on a 1080
Anthony Reed
it will be a case studio on scamming
Luis Collins
It also eats 16 gigs of Ram if you will let it. When it's feature complete it's going to be a total hog if you want to play it at full spec.

Just in case user. We are in the retarded era. We can't afford assumptions.
Logan Flores
at least No man's sky came out
Noah Price
meanwhile warframe just added spaceships and space combat
Adam Bailey
I'll take another peak at it in five years but I wouldn't give them any money until it's a proper game by then I imagine they will have competitors and their tech may be obsolete
Thomas Diaz
how mad are you going to be 30 years from now when scam citizen finally comes out and it's an epic games exclusive?
Or maybe anyone who talks about the features of the game is called a shill or cultist and they don't feel like wasting their time.
Colton Green
No it won't. The only thing tanking performance now is the zero optimization and netcode.
Isaac White
Are you one of those bitches who complained about ganking in wow? You quantum before any of them has a chance at you.
Jeremiah Cox
Not him, but the people who are the loudest from SC community are the people that are spending thousands on ships, buying tickets to citizencon, and defending shit like hovermode while thanking CIG for implementing ten minute hacking mini games. It's hard to have a conversation when those people are the loudest and kill ALL criticism. They represent the community and they are literally a cult.
John Taylor
>woman breaks into your house and threatens your wife >break up with your wife and marry the psycho
You won't have enough time to quantum because you need to spool quantum you fool. And this sint the same as people literally buying pay 2 win over you in your aurora. no I never played WoW.
Easton Hughes
the great debate: which game releases first; star citizen or banner lord.
Zachary Adams
I honestly believe Roberts is purposely delaying the game and forcing everything to be reworked to bring in money, so Bannerlord has a higher chance of releasing first
Eli Richardson
Its actually is a game and despite all its delays its coming along nicely but each retarded decision I see CIG make chips a bit of my hope for the game away, its like they still have no idea where they want to take the game and everything is tier 0 and subject to change cause they themselves dont know how it will play out. Its gonna end up a pretty awful and grindy game.
By the time Scam Shitizen actually comes out, humanity will have overcome the Great Filter and will have actual spaceships traveling the galaxy.
Jayden Baker
Lame, you can't even build your own ships.
Dominic Ward
>Coming along nicely Did you forget hovermode?? We should have had three systems minimum by now too because they've been developing the "tools to make things faster" for seven years now. The game is not coming along nicely. What the fuck is even in 3.6?
Ryder Brooks
You forgot to mention that you now have a 4K monitor, right? Performance has only gotten better 2.0 and upwards. Every time they drop a new version the server get clogged for couple of days, but eventually it normalizes.
Cooper Gomez
why would he be doing that? he could still make money after the game releases from other merch related to the game.
Aaron Hall
no I have had a 1440p monitor for years now even when SC ran well. Performance has gotten significantly worse each patch. Especially planetside. Because that's how you keep the whales funding.
Juan Reyes
Milestone as in a record breaking scam
Caleb Wright
Have you seen the roadmap for this year? At the end of it SC could finally be called a game if the gameplay loops gets implemented. Hovermode belongs to the other part of my post regarding they not knowing what the fuck they are doing, did you see the carebear-friendly auto fine feature they implemented? who the fuck is making these decisions?
this shitshow is just like freelancer, but only this time there wont be Microsoft or anyone else to try fix things up.
not sure if this is the record of biggest scam or incompetence in gaming industry, but nonetheless it's going to be fun to see those cultists to lose their money

By all accounts and measures, Robert Space Industries should be bankrupt already. I think there's some kind of money laundering going on here. They had 14 million left at the end of 2017, and their expenses have been massive ever since. Star Citizen is only 20% done, for the record.
there was a 45mil or something investment from ''African millionaire'' (as hilarious as it is)
Adrian White
>work environment as "chaotic" >poor steward of resources
That sounds about right. You can't just keep adding features and promising the moon and have it be a nice production.
They really should have focused on just ONE simple single player game. Star Citizen: Whatever, then have that be the base for the series. Then make a sequel where you can get out of the ship too. Then a separate multiplayer game.
Right now they're trying to develop like 5 games at once, plus some massively multi-player experience, and then keep adding features and other smoke and mirrors to look like the game is making progress.
They've spent 274 MILLION dollars on this and have a playable alpha and no release date.
This is the same problem MN9 and BS had but on a bigger scale. You get millions pouring in, so you keep making promises so that more money will keep flowing, then you end up with a bloated project and you promised too much.
You go to a space station, get some missions, go to a planet, do the mission, and come back. A bit like Red Dead Redemption or Grand Theft Auto, but now in space. It just looks so dull and bland and lifeless with extremely repetitive gameplay.
Jack Mitchell
let's be real for a moment. if they don't release the full version of the game there is unironically gonna be hundreds of dead people. blown up HQ building etc. pp.
Jordan Cox
Good, then we have a lot of content to look forward to.

Star citizen is the biggest joke of the industry. It's so pathetic that people are starting to forget it even exists. Like, people here laugh at sony movies, smash autism, cyberpunk yada yada, but none of that comes even close to scam citizen. It's a collosal failure in every way and the people who are still hyped for it are some of the dumbest motherfuckers on the planet.

hint: all games that take as long as this to release will result in a shitstain of a game.

I bought the basic package like 4 years ago and poke my head in every few months to see where development is on it. I’m not optimistic about it fulfilling everyone’s wildest dreams of a successor to pre-NGE Star Wars Galaxies mixed with Freelancer, but I am consistently impressed with the tech they come out with and even if the game flops this will move vidya forward several years if they sell off the things they developed along the way. OP is using such absurd hyperbole that I suspect he’s falseflagging. But I’m going to talk about the game anyway since I’ve seen an astonishing amount of blatant misunderstanding here on Yea Forums about some of the facts. I even saw one user months ago who was unaware that there’s even anything Early-Access-style to play right now. He thought it was all trailers, pictures of ships, and dev blogs for a game that no one has played.
Just to be clear: any person with an internet connection and computer capable of running it can buy the base package for $45 right now and download the current version of the indev game, and get all successive versions from then on. Like Minecraft back in 2009. There’s basically 4 modes to the game right now that you can do. 3 small, instanced game modes (racing, FPS combat, ship-to-ship combat), and the “persistent universe” one. That’s the meat of the game and where most development is spent. In it you have a custom character, currency, journal, quests, inventory, etc. You can explore space stations, browse shops, accept missions, and hang out in bars and such. When you want to leave you order your ship to be sent to the docks and walk out, get inside it, and can now go wherever. There’s a few stations/planets to visit, and you can do stuff like resource collecting, fighting pirates, bounty hunting, hacking, or exploring if you want. You can enter the planets’ atmosphere at any point and land anywhere. There are no load screens or cutscenes between these elements. (1/2)
(2/2) I am not saying this is worth $45. I’m not saying you should do it. This nowhere near even an alpha release. It’s full of bugs and crashes. But it does exist, it is progressing in development, and it is fun. Here’s a French player’s compilation of some of his favorite bits from the current version that shows some of the locales and what the game looks like in its current form - youtube.com/watch?v=DaMF6ujw3Rk >The game has completely failed to live up to its deadlines Yes and no. The initial scope of the game was much smaller. They reached their max crowdfunding stretch goal ($23 million) unexpectedly quickly in 2013 and gave the donators a choice about whether to stop there and make the promised game, or keep going with crowdfunding and expand the scope proportionally to the amount of money they got. The backers overwhelmingly (88%) voted for the latter option. Mandalore talks about it at 3:40 - youtu.be/IHUbzzKJXBc?t=220 In this sense, it is reasonable for the game to come out much later because the nature of what they were making changed completely. To hold them to their initial release date when they’re making a totally different game now is unreasonable. THAT SAID even within these parameters they have failed many times to live up to their deadlines. Both the MMO and campaign have been pushed back repeatedly. This is not okay and I am not defending it. In the last year they’ve moved to a quarterly release system and are much better about being accountable and transparent where they are. They’ve released more and more patches with the last one (3.6) being a couple weeks ago. They have a Trello-style roadmap on the site where you can see what they’ve done, are doing, and plan to do - robertsspaceindustries.com/roadmap/board/1-Star-Citizen
No Man Sky with all its update will reach the scope of Star Citizen, before Star Citizen can be considered a beta.
You know I'm right.
Jace Jackson
the game is in development for 7 SEVEN years now and they completed something like 25% of the game.
development will take up ATLEAST another 4-5 years for a version 1.0.
12 years of game development is NOT normal. having a budget of 1 BILLION+ is NOT normal.
if they fail this won't bring vidya forward, it will blow back high budget pc gaming like atari back in the 80's
Asher Carter
I kinda feel bad for employees having to deal with CR new dumb ideas everytime he sees something cool somewhere else.
Cameron James
>the game is in development for 7 SEVEN years now Supposedly, Roberts started working on it in 2010, but the announcement was made in 2011
Andrew Jackson
I genuinly hate Star Citizen fans. They are fucking worse than blizzdrones. Who the fuck buys an alpha that is pay to win with no release in sight then has the gall to claim other games are inferior. My friend wasted 200 dollars on this game and it looks just as bad as it did 4 years ago.
Camden Johnson
There's no pay to win because you, yes (You) can do whatever you want™, now hold still while the whales destroy you with their 10k ships
Nathaniel Long
can't be pay to win when there is nothing to win lmao
At risk of being called a shill, I'd like you to explain your claims. Why do you think they're only 25% done with it? Why do you think the budget will be over a billion dollars? While 12 years of development is not normal, this is not a normal game, nor does it claim to be. 12 years elapsed between Starcraft 1 and 2's releases, and that was for Blizzard, a well-established studio. I don't see that as a valid criticism of Star Citizen in itself. I'm also not saying a 2025 release would be okay with me, just that a 12-year dev cycle then they're inventing a good chunk of the tech themselves isn't that hard to believe.
I have two (2) computers that can run the game :^)
Evan Garcia
>Why do you think they're only 25% done with it? see pic >Why do you think the budget will be over a billion dollars? budget right now is 300 Million dollar+. another 4-5 years ATLEAST development and the scope and cost are ever climbing

I play EVE to shoot stationary targets with 20+ other people before NPCs kill us. All hail James 315 savior of highsec!
Running the optimized live build 3.5 here with 8GB ram and a geoforce 780 here and the game still looks and runs amazingly, you are literally your pic.
Ayden Howard
star citizen fanboys can shit on eve online when Star Citizen has run for a decade and created dozens of clans/addons and stories
this I can't wait for the actual gameplay to come in, I don't really mind them selling all these ships to keep the rest going, but if the combat doesn't evolve by then, then why the fuck are people even going to play this?
if the combat/meta ends up as stiff and boring as, say, elite, then it'll be a huge ass fluke at the end of the day, no matter how pretty it is or how many planets you can land on
Anthony Roberts
Imagine being the guy who paid hundreds of dollars for one of the smaller ones and finally getting into the game omly to discover everybody else paid thousands of dollars for ships you can do nothing against.
Cooper Anderson
I'd like to see the nitty-gritty of 's data. That reeks of "we weighted everything equally" to me. So "developed physics engine" would be just as much towards completion as "gave vendors voice lines" or something. If that's so, they could have 80% of the actual work of development done and only be 10% completed on paper. >and the scope and cost are ever climbing Doesn't mean it's going to more than triple. What's your source?
cope. Specifically, the "they could have 80% of the actual work of development done and only be 10% completed on paper" bit. Basically just comes off as blind optimism
Guess I'll go look at the notes or roadmap or whatever? Does it have real gameplay yet or it still just a pretty themepark ride?
Gavin Ward
All I'm saying is I'd want to see their data. My example numbers were purely hypothetical to demonstrate how presenting the data that way can give you the wrong impression. I'm not saying they're 80% done. Maybe they really are only 27% done with major systems. I just don't see that reflected in the current release of the game.
>Ship aging Can't wait till "Ship Maintenance: Welding and Electric Gremlins" Update They should add Mandatory Yearly Ship Inspection while they are at it.

ALL I WANTED WAS FREELANCER 2 CHRIS YOU AUTISTIC FAGGOT
Wow. An screenshot of your own post on this board will surely make Chris and his company go bankrupt. You really showed them dude! That post contains nothing but Yea Forums shitter hivemind comments about the project compressed in two posts to please their circlejerk.
Jack Turner
My dude, there was no URL in the original picture. No reason to be so ugly. I'll give it a look over. By your picture it looks to be exactly like I was guessing though. Minor stuff like >wear and tear on all equipment >visual limb damage >weapons emit from where the barrel is pointing >cost of ships factored into frequency in Persistent Universe >forms of fictional corruption within the Persistent Universe Right next to major stuff like >Ship Boarding >Alien Languages >Accurate planet models Those are hardly all "major systems". I'll look more at it now.
>Wow. An screenshot of your own post on this board will surely make Chris and his company go bankrupt. That picture was in response to a another thread few months back. So I have no idea what you're on about.
>that post contains nothing but Yea Forums shitter hivemind comments about the project compressed in two posts to please their circlejerk. Funny, cause I dont see any correlation between what I state and what Yea Forums states. I think you just use buzzwords like 'hivemind' to fit in here.
Nevertheless thanks for the (you)!

The name of the application was in the picture, starnigger. Fuck off.
>It was also claimed that Gardiner used race as a determining factor in selecting employees, allegedly once saying "We aren't hiring her. We aren't hiring a black girl.
/ourgirl/?
Gavin Ross
That landscape looks good, is this an ingame screenshot?
derek smart here. just stopping by to dab on you retard nigger citizens. how does it feel to be the schmuck of the century? *inhales* *dabs* that is all. thank you.
dunno,, stalker, police report of strangling Chris, fake marketing decree, history in tickle porn industry and other stuff
Brayden Torres
Autismos make the best games though.
Luis Perez
thanks for outing yourself as a victim of this scam.
Brandon Garcia
I just poked around in it and it doesn't seem like a good resource >there are repeats, inflating the number of incomplete features. For example, "Mission Sharing" is on there twice. >is not up-to-date; certain features that are in-game and playable are still listed as "not-implemented" >no indication of what "major systems" >most importantly, they put core features right next to tiny ones, like pic related. Green is completed, yellow is "not implemented". I do applaud them for providing links to an instance of a dev saying they want to do that feature so they aren't just making stuff up. But I don't believe they're overall claim.
Yes, but this is from one of those citizencons from past years 2015 or 16.
Connor Carter
Honestly I'd give her at least an honorary marketing degree for the shit they pulled off.
Tyler Jackson
Not only is she head of marketing now but also one of the shareholders for CIG. If she ever flips out again she can do some damage to the entire company.
Grayson Powell
I like all the ones I've seen so far. Which seem ugly to you?
Not him, but the 300iphone is the worst redesign easily.
Henry Perez
By the time it comes out elite dangerous will have exactly the same features without the 900 dollar ships
Zachary Ortiz
...I don't see it. They don't look the same at all, if anything left looks extremely different, the only similarity is the fact that it's a ship that has two long claw like thingies at the front and that it's yellow, that's it, everything else is quite different. I think Star Citizen is probably a scam, but unironically right looks better. Left looks too overdesigned imo.
Too bad it's in a game that is both going to fail and is going to be shit lol.
Camden Richardson
Reminder that not only is Sandi now on the board but he also replaced one of the other new board members with a tax lawyer from the cayman islands
Your pic is the sleek old luxury ship. The one here is the redesign iphone.
Camden Roberts
In case you weren't aware, in a recent stream they talked about the future of ship armor mechanics. They'll implement damage thresholds where damage under a certain number per shot just won't do anything at all. But remember, the game isn't p2w and skilled normal players will surely be able to take down whale barges with their non-paid ships!
Logan Watson
Half of those left are seeming reskins too.
Landon Smith
>They'll implement damage thresholds where damage under a certain number per shot just won't do anything at all. Even for PVP? Seems more like a PVE idea to make sure players aren't discouraged from taking missions for fear of being whittled down by lots of weak enemies.
Liam Williams
but no company is going to touch this one because the game engine is broken as hell and already in it's limits and they would have to change the engine and redo everything. and second, majority of potential customers have bought the game and ''invested'' their money already, so there wont be enough revenue to bother to resurrect this dumpster fire
Landon Morgan
This one was made by the Yea Forumslancer dev, they're a known quantity.
Colton White
Very underrated post
Brandon Jackson
Imagine the smell haha
Hudson Thompson
For every ship in general, both pvp and pve
Brandon Turner
Hover mode is so horribly bad, Jesus fuck And of course the brainwashed cultist whales on their shitty forum are defending it >y-you're not allowed to say anything bad about it because it's just the first implementation! it's not complete! Fuck this community, fuck this "game" and fuck Chris Roberto
Logan Lopez
>he thinks anyone outside the hardcore community of whales gives a shit about Star Citizen
SC isn’t a game it is a wish factory, and that’s how CR convinced people to give up hundreds and thousands of dollars.
Josiah Bailey
I just let out a long sigh hearing this. The cultists will love this.
Jace Gray
why do you retards always generalize that everyone who backed star citizen spent thousands of dollars
i spent 40 bucks on this and its honestly coming along nicely for a game with its scope
Gabriel Torres
>hurr durr being poor
Cooper Cooper
If it's not the first implementation it's >It's an alpha, they're still working on it and it will be reworked Goddamn Chris he was supposed to be the chosen one.
Also the Vanguard "rework" was such an utter waste of time. The only thing they did is make the front glow and add those stupid fucking tank threads while completely failing to address the actual issues that people have been complaining about for years.
>Honestly coming along nicely We are literally still in a single star system after 7 years of development. Chris wanted to have five by launch AFTER giving up on the promise of a hundred. The flight model is still broken and arguably worse than the 2.0 era (I loved this flight model it was fun). Hovermode is literally broken. CIG literally has no idea what they want to do for things they claimed to have in production five years ago. This project is not coming along nicely for it's scope. We aren't even at 1%.
Hunter Lopez
Don't forget that they said multiple times that the current status of not even 1 star system is the limit of their tech. They can't add any more without the SSOCS magic bullet, the supposed performance impact of which they can't even predict.
Josiah Cox
I didn't even know about this. Can you reference this? I try to be factual with my eternal disappointment in the money I spent for this project. But yeah, CIG has a lot of magic bullets that were supposed to fix things and never did. Like the 3.0 patch.
Cooper Evans
Somewhere in here youtube.com/watch?v=BXNGpg6ZfD0 >The average framerate on ArcCorp is bad right now, which is because Server-Side Object Container Streaming [SSOCS] is needed, because currently the servers are getting bottlenecked due to all the stuff in the game that they're having to handle. SSOCS will fix the FPS problem, and is also required for Server Meshing. The first step for each is having static servers for specific locations, and then moving to dynamic servers, both of which need to be capable of handing things over between servers (such as players, ships, etc.). SSOCS is being worked on right now, and is required for Stanton to be fully added to the PU.
Ryan Allen
My dumbass friend that buys and shills everything he clings to dumped well over 400 dollars on this in the past month. Im dead serious with his parents credit card. Hes in his upper 20s. Fuck
Asher Bell
I hate how they keep taking tech that has existed for years just to rebrand it and sell it to cultists as something they came up with The "OCS" they've been struggling with for years is literally just level streaming that comes stock with UE4
They've probably stolen hundreds of pieces of art at this point and usually when they're called on it, they just delete the image off there website and never acknowledge it. Like the Banu Merchantment store page they originally had up with a Strike Vector game logo superimposed on the cables under the ship
How this is not a major red flag for anyone buying extra content is beyond me.
James Ortiz
When that happened along with a bunch of other similar stuff (like shopping Sandis face on some stock photos for marketing shots) the cultists just brushed it off with "w-well, photobashing is normal in the industry!"
Josiah Torres
Post the Master Chief armor rip off. It has the exact same lines in one concept art.
Carson Flores
Who knows? They just have a recorded history of being caught taking other properties' assets and modifying them enough to look different and original. Fans and the company ignore it everytime you point it out.
1. Some publisher will bail them out and will severely restrict its scope and take over management to get an actual game released. Doing a Freelancer.
2. The whole thing will just implode because there isn't a bottomless pit of money.
Levi Green
Chris is already set for the next couple years at least because when he sold 10% of the company last year he had it valued at almost 500mil. Won't be too long until he sells more. But after that one of the cases in your post will occur.
Kek. You guys generally have no idea how concept art works. It's not there to represent the final product. Concept artist makes a quick sketch for pitching an idea. You don't need to need to reinvent wheel if your idea is to pitch a generic sci-fi marine in armor. But leaving another company's brand logo on your concept is fucking unprofessional as hell.
Connor Peterson
Concept art, yes. Not art actually used to sell a product to someone.
Camden Anderson
>turn backers' millions into a pile of garbage that is pretty but also on fire >sell that for half a billion dollars That's pretty good.
Star Citizen harbors the most gullible retarded fanbase on the internet when gaming is concerned. Id think the only thing that could possibly rival such stupidity is the FFXIV and WoW community that still somehow subs to retail.
Samuel Peterson
All of assets used in those concept art pics are not in final product that's sold to the people. How the fuck you know if that nebula isn't some stockphoto from shutterstock.
>Who knows? They just have a recorded history of being caught taking other properties' assets and modifying them enough to look different and original. >Fans and the company ignore it everytime you point it out. Sauce?
Jeremiah Kelly
Star Citizen is a case study in mismanagement.
How to build a game: Create a basic design, create a proof of concept with all the key design elements in place, which you then build on in your overall design with a goal in mind until you have a finished product, then polish it.
Don't: Do whatever the fuck Star Citizen is doing, where they have never had anything resembling a functional final target game, shit keeps getting redone over and over, and have ridiculous unrealistic scope creep.
Hunter Cruz
Reminder that when the game was first being made Chris Roberts didn't know what normal maps were.
Ian Thompson
After getting announced for late 2020 the singleplayer is also back right on track to be delayed again by at least 1-2 years judging from their roadmap.
If this fails, it's going to shake up the future of crowdfunded games forever.
Michael Cook
Ehh, that doesn't really matter. You think Steve Jobs knew shit about OS and hardware design? You think Kevin Feige knows any detail about CGI production? etc etc
The problem is that he's a manager of a huge product with unrealistic scope and hasn't managed to reign in the project into realistic goals and deadlines to create a shippable product.
>hasn't managed to reign in the project into realistic goals and deadlines to create a shippable product He has no interest in making a shippable product.
Levi Moore
The point is that Chris doesn't understand anything about what he's working with. When you read things Chris will ask for all these unrealistic goals that people try and explain to him why it's unreasonable or not a good idea, and he won't listen or understand. Its why their flight model keeps being redone.
it wasn't a scam, it was just a tremendously poorly managed project. Roberts has no fucking clue what he's doing and no amount of money people throw at him is going to change that. I backed the original project for $60 and that's all I will ever be willing to put into it. It's not even that he just didn't have enough after the initial campaign. It's that he mismanaged everything so badly that all of that money went to waste so why on earth should I trust him enough to give him more? Sure enough, even after others continued to throw obscene amounts of money at the team, he repeated the same mistakes and again, all of the money dried up. It's clear he can't run this project or the team and people should just count their losses and move on.
Jayden King
imagine contributing even 1 cent to this complete scam
William Long
play elite dangerous if you want a boring screenshot simulator, at least it's a finished game
Jaxon Stewart
sounds like a cover up for Roberts being scammed by nigerian prince
Adam King
This game has been in development for almost a decade
Liam Cox
The bigest scam in video game history instead of Chris paying to his employes his paying retards in this page with a fucking virtual ship, that if the game ever came out it will probably be robbed or destroyed
I would be fine with the wait if they release the finances report to the backers. The allegations of wasting the entire budget is the thing that worries me the most, since i don't care even if its released in 2025 as long as they don't cheaply jew rush everything due to near bankruptcy.
cloudimperiumgames.com/blog/corporate/cfo-comment-2012-2017-financials They did but conveniently left out 2018 which is when things would start to get troublesome based on the data they provided. At the end of 2017 they had 14 million left in the bank and lost more than 5mil every year. Ironically 2017 is when Croberts went on record in an interview stating that if all funding stopped they'd have enough in reserve to finish S42, which is utter bullshit.
Liam Watson
>implying the 12 years of downtime between starcraft was intentional for development WoW was just printing money for Blizzard and Korea kept brood wars alive forever you fucking retard, its not like they were hard at work for over a decade to make void rays...
Benjamin Thompson
>I want to play a game where i shoot someone in the arm but the wound shows somewhere random center torso >I want to play a game where the animation of my weapon doesn't come from the end of it but some random position on screen >i want to play a game with no thought to economic balance for new or expanding players why is Yea Forums so retarded these days?
Camden Scott
Lots of those "minor systems" entail major changes though wear and tear and limb damage are minor, but actually emitting from the barrel is physicalization of weapons and shit which like 1/100 games actually go about doing, it's mega autist Arma/Tarkov tier stuff to add that to weapons rather than just positioning outputs on camera or from a point also having a good economy like the last two are important to actually making a game and could be major features if they are working on major systems with it
Anthony Diaz
Heh, I like to read some of these examples.
Bentley Ramirez
>2019 >there are still retards gullible enough to be in denial and defend this project with teeth and nails wew lad
Nathaniel Brooks
And now it looks better or the same?
Chase Green
Lets say hypotetically that you paid 60USD in the kickstarter.
You have a switch that allows you to cast a miracle and make this game instantly the masterpiece it wanted to be. And you will truly enjoy the game. But that would allow Chris to take all credit and fame, even after his display of incompetence all these years.
On the other hand, there's a switch, which may or may not be connected to anything. But pressing it will make the game flop and get the reputation it deserves for such a mess.
That particular planet hasn't been released yet but since they showed this planet in 3.0 every mayor update has improved how planets look in some way so I would say they look better now.
Zachary Reyes
For the past couple of patches on the test server you can't jump anywhere without getting pulled over by the space police at least twice Can't make this shit up
Landon Walker
>3000$ for a space carrier >in order to get an invite to the limited auction in the first place you had to be in the 1000+$ certified whale club
you mean you didn't like paying for this shit to be put in before the game was even in alpha? Clearly these are smart spenders over there, not to worry
the space combat was kinda cool in 2014. if they just focused on that and getting sim autists to plan out big battles and stuff it would be way more fun than MMO shit
>Spend 15 minutes getting to delivery picup point >Land >Walk up the stairs to the warehouse and bump my toe against something, destroying my legs and crippling me instantly >Respawn at port olimar and have to wait another 5 minutes while I file an insurance claim GREAT FUCKING PATCH
Latter option in a heartbeat. A game exactly like what SC aims to be will b e released eventually, but there are very few chances you get to blackpill so many people in an instant and avoid projects like this getting funded in the future.
Alexander Cook
Scamming your backers is more respectable than pretending not to scam your backers while scamming them.
Nathaniel Garcia
how much did all of that cost you?
Kevin Thomas
Chris Roberts is unironically the Vince Russo of video gaming. Nothing he says or does can be taken at face value. He’s a self aggrandizing scam artist.
Jose James
Why does this game cause so much butt hurt among Yea Forums?
Luis Rodriguez
We'll be exploring the stars before this "Game" is finished and released
Landon Wood
>promise space sim >turn it into a cancerous marketing machine whose sole purpose is to extract cash from mentally ill whales
Zachary Parker
Eyeballing it we're looking at like 5 grand, though you can probably knock a couple hundred off that due to loopholes in their ship upgrade system
Hunter Parker
all those .jpg's would have cost him $5,260 at fucking minimum, if he bought some after the original pledge cost increase then you can add like another 1k/1.5k to that.
Joseph White
Did you enjoy your shiny concierge badge. Only a couple more thousand dollars and you can get an even shinier one, don't you want to show your passion for the project?
Josiah Gray
Promising concept ruined by whales enabling shameless greed. It hit funding targets almost immediately when it was first proposed, and while Roberts inevitably selling out means it would have eventually gone to shit, it would have been nice to have a few years before that happened.
Juan Martin
>paying thousands of dollars for blender models
Jaxon White
>Star Scam kek, have fun when you don't get your game in 20 years.
Brody Powell
How is it Chris's fault that people are gullible? They have been releasing new build every quarter. Making a game of this size has never been tried before, someone has to be the pioneer.
Noah James
>it's not the scammer's fault people are so gullible!
Nathaniel Scott
I remember watching their youtube channel a while ago and practically every video was some variation of "here's how we're optimizing the pipeline to bring you new content faster XD", "here's an overview of this ship we're redesigning the 10th time", and "here's how we think we might possibly in the future perhaps when the time is right implement this basic feature in the most autistically complex way in the name of realism". The only word to really describe the state of star citizen is clusterfuck.
>How is it Chris's fault that people are gullible? Because he could have put his foot down at any time in the past 5 years and stopped the endless bloat.
Nolan Johnson
Every time you buy a game you pay for lines of text shoved in compiler with models made in 3d modeling software, except in this case models have at least some detail.
Samuel Rivera
havnt played since planet landings were introduced. i always struggle communicating with the lobby. people either just ignore me or no ones even talking. do people typically use a discord or is there an integrated voice feature im unaware of?
tell me some cool things to do please. I remember once hearing there was a secret bar in an asteroid???
Henry Howard
How much longer to 3.6?
Also the game is maximum comfy, I don't give a fuck what anyone says. Pissing off space dads by being better than them is so funny. Especially after you steal their shit.
Jaxson Ross
Three differences: >I get to play the fucking game >I don't actually have to pay 5000 dollars for the finished product >the product is actually finished
Jordan Morgan
>quest givers yikes
Dominic Evans
Chris clearly gave options for the backers to choose between wing commader/freelancer remake and Mega MMO, people voted for latter. If I recall right the early backers even had an option to refund.
Evan Brooks
Getting the cheapest ship to have a little tour of Star Citizen is worth the admission price to the greatest tech demo I've ever seen. Even if they stopped right now and fleshed out what's already there it has a fucking huge amount of potential.
Cameron Ortiz
Maybe a week or so. PTU is open for all the backers now.
Xavier Cooper
>can only respond with being poor If you keep spending daddys money on intangible unappreciable fictional dick size compensators youll be the poorfag very soon i guarantee it.
Bentley James
A sham poll that only a fraction of backers even voted in
Aiden White
You can play SC with minimum backing of $45. No one is going for your wallet and taking 5000 out of it. You back extra to support developers. Third point is valid.
Joseph Diaz
>A sham poll that only a fraction of backers even voted in Sauce? Not everyone votes, that's their loss.
Nolan Price
And a $45 pledge will get you a starter ship that's not even capable of doing anything in the game properly. Spending another $25 to upgrade to an Avenger is almost required.
Bentley Cox
I know there are people that paid 45 bucks, and there are people that paid 5000. I was talking about the latter. None of them get to play the full game either.
To be fair, not all accounts are backers but the option in the poll also didn't imply that they'd add so much stuff that it would delay the game by a decade Chris even wrote >Finally there is one very important element – the more funds we can raise in the pre-launch phase, the more we can invest in additional content (more ships, characters etc.) and perhaps more importantly we can apply greater number of resources to the various tasks to ensure we deliver the full functionality sooner rather than later. implying that they'll take the same, or even less, time than initially planned
Anthony Garcia
Remember that time Chris said there can't be any p2w in Star Citizen because it doesn't have a win screen and "you win by having fun"?
Robert Perez
When you can name all 3 quest gives and describe in detail the 5 quests they give you don't have missions.
It's a janky tech demo.
Ryan Miller
>try to land >hover mode suddenly kicks in and makes positioning via strafing almost impossible because it makes the ship slide like a bathtub on ice It was a really good idea to take some rando straight out of uni and put him in charge of the entire flight model, yes
>You back extra to support developers and to get better ships of course, because the better they are the more $$$ they cost
Joseph Martinez
lmfao the rifle is even a ripoff of the halo starting weapon
Robert Ross
I forgot to mention earlier that with 3.6 they're also making changes to shields. Large shields will be capable of constantly regenerating even under fire and they intend regen rates to be so high that you'll need multiple ships to take out ships equipped with them.
Samuel Cooper
>It was a really good idea to take some rando straight out of uni and put him in charge of the entire flight model, yes
Thats the only people who will work for you though when you're an incompetent, micromanaging boss who changes his mind every 2 months.
Jacob Ramirez
What would it take to convince anyone who still belives this game is ever coming out that it's a scam?
Josiah Brown
The thing is that the vote didn't even come close. I mean even with 21k votes it was almost unanimous. Yeah a lot of people don't understand game development times at all, but 88% and those we're probably the earliest and most enthusiastic backers.
Sebastian Fisher
No updates for months and Chris moving to thailand jungle.
Gabriel Walker
You can get to the big bois by playing the game
David Cruz
I enjoyed the new flight model but hover mode better be a fucking toggle when the time comes.
It gets updates user relatively consistently (usually always late but it's consistent)
The 'scam' shit needs to stop because it's clearly not a scam. It wouldn't be in active development with like 500 fucking people if it's a scam, he wouldn't have gotten 500 people together if he just needed to run with the money.
Robert Sanchez
>spent like 30 dollars to kickstart this game in 2012 >getting both a full fledged campaign single player and a separate persistent online universe to play >don't give a fuck how long it takes to come out and am not emotionally invested in the game being ~perfect~
Who are you quoting? The post you responded to wasn't even saying that; simply that those systems are not major dev timesinks. When you say the game is 27% done, that implies approximately a fourth of the work is done.
Hudson Walker
He was just moving goalposts. He got called on his bullshit and made some retarded examples.
Landon Wilson
If the script leaks are accurate I feel sorry for the people expecting good writing
Henry Ward
It was decent
Justin Baker
Which user? The one with the anime picture or ? I'm and I'm confused what I got called out on, if you're saying that.
William Martin
I still think I got my 30 bucks worth a few years ago. Racing in the game was so damn fun. Pulling a high G turn where you are drifting so fast and so hard that you are literally facing the wrong direction through the turn with afterburners at full blast is one of the coolest things I have done in a "racing" game. Put a bunch of time into the dogfighting. And one of my very few experiences in the Open Universe or whatever its called was amazing. Me and 2 buddies go to a space station, get into a gun fight with a random guy, steal a ship and ride off was good fun. Last time I tried it again, I had less than 1 frame per second as I spawned into the main space station and i gave up, havent tried since.
Oh yes I'm sure peasants will be able to pay for high class ships just fine after release without having to grind their asses off, while Whale McWhale and his whale friends roll up in a multi-crew barge enjoying all that sweet jpeg gameplay they bought
Asher Martinez
It's a good experiment, and the fact some anons might choose the latter is proof they're more interested in the drama than vidya.
Kevin Scott
How much money to they actually have left?
Colton Davis
Whales are like 0.0001% of all the backers, you have better chances running into another player in No Mans Sky.
Dominic Davis
Millions because literal dipshits spend thousands of dollars for pixel bikes and ships
Luke Moore
Where do you think you are?
Lincoln Gomez
All depends on the threshold where you completely shit on other players, and things will get worse of whales are actively trying to grief.
Adam Reyes
>Millions because literal dipshits spend thousands of dollars for pixel bikes and ships More like a hundred or two rich neck beards. Most of the backers have just a starter ship. For some reason Yea Forums likes to look over that fact.
Jaxson Jenkins
user multiple 100 by 1,000. Now multiply 200 by 1,000.
Kevin Howard
Form a faction with some Aurora buddies, grind together and fuck up those whales. Wallet size does not affect your aim.
Robert Wood
More than that. I paid 30 dollars after 2 internet friendos convinced me to buy it years ago. Both of them have spent thousands each. They are 35-45 years old and are not rich. I consider them cultists but the funny part is they barely play the game. Every time there is a big update they play for about a day and move on to other stuff. I can tell they arent having that much fun when I used to play with them. But every single day for years they sit in a Teamspeak channel called Star Citizen. Every day.
Tyler Jones
Big shield projects and land claim look really bad though.
Julian Watson
didn't the retard devs waste thousands on some custom wooden door?
Jason Rodriguez
look The whales will quit soon enough. A person spending thousands of dollars on toys has some mental problem. They just move on to paypigging some other game to fill a void in their life. The rest of us can live out our space pirate dreams in peace.
Ayden Morgan
>I get it, you're poor. >his response as to why sentient gaymers did not buy into this cost sunk fallacy "game" is to state that they are not financially well off as the kids say; thats an ouff from me
Jose Ward
nah they're too busy spending money on AGI research, and buying websites and servers
Levi Cox
Whales can be perfectly content fighting each other and stomping regular players out. Best case scenario is user created factions (and nobody suffered a loss) or whales acting li'e landlords and regular players slaving as gunner#23 to have a chance to habe fun in game. So much for the (You) being a hitshot pilot CR sold people. Good thing I never bavked
Levi Carter
Yes. Also on coffee machines. And doors.
Liam Bailey
He's right though. Go look at Elite PVP. It's either all day reverski or endless jousts. When your ship can pitch 180 in no time, that's what you get. It's shit.
Oliver Russell
Im just gonna write cause im bored and hate life. When we used to play the dogfighting scenario against AI they would always beat me in score 100% of the time. But they had fancy pants Hornets I think they were, they could take a bunch of damage and had a bunch of weapons. I had the aurora starter ship and eventually switched it to the mustang, but regret it. Cant switch back from what i saw. Anyways, I'd almost get the same score as them sometimes. Even with my shittacular weapons. And they have the fancy pants super computer setups. Infact I have an old videocard one of the guys sent me cause he'd keep upgrading his computer for Star Citizen. They both have the fancy joysticks and IR tracking (is that whats it called?) so they can look around the cockpit as they dogfight. And I just got a mouse and keyboard. And on more than one occasion I'd be the last guy left, they died and Im just plinking away needing to shoot the enemy AI 20 times to kill it. One of my favorite moments was having a bunch of enemy AI shooting at me and me maneuvering around an asteroid and slipping into a little crevice, but after 10 minutes of plinking away and barely doing anything I started to feel guilty making them wait for me and me barely doing anything. I really loved the flight model several years ago but heard that everyone was complaining about it non stop. So I dont know if it's good or bad now, but man, dipping around an asteroid dodging fire felt so damn good. I really hope the game eventually releases but I am 10000% sure it will always be a buggy mess. But as long as my machine can run it, which im doubtful of as it would run progressively worse and worse as updates come out, I will enjoy it. Even cruising through empty space feels so comfy at times. But this game will not be what people expect. It is gonna be real boring. There wont be a ton to do. And it will be one of the "make your own fun" types of games. But thats if it ever releases.
>470888686 >it isn't p2w they said >you don't need to sink a ton on money just to not suck mad dicks they said
Bentley Cruz
those are some fancy jpegs
Jayden Kelly
How fucked is hover mode right now?
Oliver Morris
technically gameplay for two of them.
Austin Brooks
Joysticks are kind of shit yeah and the IR-tracking just gives you more "immersion" I guess. Aiming with mouse and target speed matching gave me the best results in Aurora. You can easily get behind your target and follow it. Game would be really boring if every dogfight would be settled in couple of minutes. Next time you play you play with those guys again, make them paypigs wait good, it's not your problem they are shitters!
Jace Smith
Well it is 100% pay to win, theres a buying/renting system now to play and buy new ships but i never bothered with it. If it's not permanent I don't want to waste my time. Plus they had free fly weekends where I got to try different ships in the past and I just didnt give a fuck a enough about the differences. I am awesome at games and rape everyone always, so I don't care if I got pea shooters and they have a mega ship. I'm gonna rape them and their mothers.
I always feel guilty about everything. Even sometimes Im playing 5honor or rainbow7 and if I'm going really well i start to feel bad, especially 1v1 duels. I dunno.
seething retard doesn't want to admit he pissed $10,000 into """""game""""" that will either A) never come out or B) fail to live up to the retarded hype train it's built and die a quick death
Carter Butler
Chris Roberts was a liar from the start.
I remember when star spin2win was announced, it soread like fire across the internet. People were like
>freelancer is back >pc gaming >cool space game
It was like someone stuck their head in the forums and said >morpheus is fighting neil
But it was pay2win from the start. He would say it was going to be specifically not pay2win like he actully had integrity, but then when you read on his website, it said the game would be funded by selling in-game advantages to players.
