DS>>>>>>>>>N64
DS>>>>>>>>>N64
fuck no lol
No lol that version sucks
Objective truth
Obvious bait
>game explicitly made with the analog stick in mind
>enhanced port uses d-pad
Also Luigi is fucking broken, literally backflip to win.
The minigames are addictive though.
Better controls>extra content
N64 that includes all the DS content >>>>>>>>> N64 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> DS
>boomer didn't use the touch controls
lmao
I don't even universally hate touch controls, but using them for a fucking 3D platformer of all things is madness.
does that exist?
This user gets it
I saw a romhack that adds the level with the King Goomba boss. Dunno about the rest.
The mini-games were fucking amazing. Don't even (You) me.
>freedom of movement
>superior speed control
>analog™
it's perfect for them
Besides the obvious controller issue. Locking starts and abilities behind characters was a mistake
It does give a sense of progression though when you unlock characters. I'm not sure if Mario 64 in particular needed it, but the new characters were almost like unlocking new in other platformers that were popular at the time.
what was wrong with it? having a bunch of characters that played uniquely added replay value and made the game more interesting. only a couple of stars truly required certain characters and caps were in the levels to help make it not tedious to swap between different ones.
Luigi breaks the game, and Wario is fucking useless besides being an Italian key for the black blocks.
>Yoshi: basically a worthless Mario that can’t punch. He only has 3 stars and can’t even go to one of the levels
>Mario: game was made around his moveset
>Luigi breaks the game. His backflip can cheese 90% of the stars where you don’t even have to do the intended way for them.
>wario is almost the same as yoshi.
What level can Yoshi not go to, other than the "unlock-a-character" levels?
Big boos haunt. Yoshi is the only character that can’t defeat boos
Most of my showers these days consist of thinking why they thought Mario 64 on a console without an analog stick was a good idea.
>Mario 64 Remastered for the Switch
>two graphics options: HD (Odyssey-tier) and 64 (Original Mario 64 graphics, new assets are made to fit the style)
>Nothing changes gameplay-wise, not even BLJs and PUs
>Mario has his moveset retained
>Luigi is less broken
>Wario is buffed so he's worth using past breaking bricks
>Waluigi is added as playable with his own moveset
>15 new worlds after you defeat Bowser in the sky
Would you play it?
>The minigames
>The multiplayer
>Adding characters and content into the main single player game
They don't do remakes like they used to.
I envy you if you are actually able to tolerate shitty phone touchscreen controls
Is there even a point in wanting to remake it again?
fuck remakes and remake people
honestly, and i dont even fucking know how, i never had mario 64, and the DS version was my first time playing it so the d pad never bothered me
The DS used a resistive touchscreen. Not the same as a smartphone’s screen.
>mfw not bitch ass and 120 stars with no problem .
>Wario will never be in a mainline Mario game ever again
Thanks Sakurai
