It's okay I suppose.

Yeah

if you like artificial difficulty, maybe

Best metroidvania in the last 10 years

yeah.
I dont think its a masterpiece or anything but its good

It's excellent.
Lol what the fuck I figured out how to pogo in the first thirty seconds of the game

Wait a minute this image looks familiar, you're not trying to bait (you)'s are you user?

No shit it’s one of the best games in the last ten years.

Yes, ignore the redditors here saying its the best indie game of all time or some shit. Its okay, not amazing.

If you like Metroidvanias, it's good. If you're one of those people that gets off on solemn, lonely atmosphere, it's one of the best games in years.

play more games user.

actually there's a truth behind the bait. If you don't know how pogo is, you may have few problems with that part or you have to be very lucky

yeah, maybe if you're 12

How cheap does it go on Switch?

I have and they’re bad.

Crystal peak is really frustrating. The rest is 5/5 fucking mint

I'm pretty sure you can't even get that far without pogoing somewhere.

nah, it's also not bad though, it has strong points and weak points but the end result is decidedly meh

I did. Still struggle with consecutive pogo jumps. The mask shard in deep nest was hell.
How hard is it to google or use your fucking head though, people are so used to hints and handholding, it doesn’t make the game better

I didn't like it
>character controls like shit
>barely any animations for both enemies and your character
>most of the bosses are boring easy shit
>artstyle consists of bugs and skulls of all shapes and colors
>dark souls inspired shit where you lose currency when you die
>dark souls inspired 2deep4u story
>barely any platforming
Literally "I an obnoxious faggot without any taste" - the game.

The point this bait is trying to make is that you'd never figure out to pogo off the mushrooms at all, not that you'd have difficulty doing so.

Hollow Knight is very good. Exploring the massive world in your first playthrough is pretty magical.

I just lost 1800 geo to the deepnest pogo bullshit. Ragequit

>he didnt play esa
go fuck yourself you know nothing

>barely any platforming
Bait's too obvious, user

Clean your teeth at least twice every day, anons.

it's ok but way overhyped by newfags who haven't discovered castlevania yet.

>dark souls
Lol HK shits on that garbage all day every day. Besides the devs didn't even play that garbage

First of all, no it does not shit in Dark Souls. Not even in the same ballpark, it's a fucking 2d indie.

Second, my ass he didn't. This game takes a lot from Dark Souls, even the spirit shit, the story about kings and lineages is straight up from Dark Souls. You're probably bei lng sarcastic

No. It's the most overhyped Metroidvania game ever. The combat is extremely basic, all areas in the game look the same and the map design is so bad that you'll spend 95% of your time playing wandering around the same few areas trying to work out where to go.

Yeah, for like free.
Definitely not worth a penny.
Literal flash game that would have been free on newgrounds.
Buy Bloodstained instead. That has actual effort

I believe it's best metrodivaniya yet. Not perfect, just best. There no such thing as perfect game.

The deepnest pogo was neat as fuck.

That's Ghost 1.0

I'm currently playing through it now. I've explored a bunch of areas, but the game still feels like it has more areas. I really need to find some pale ore and upgrade my nail, some of these boss fights are taking way too many hits to kill.

good game but giga-fuck ton of back tracking

i recommend using a map if you are impatient and dont give a shit about touching every single wall to discover secrets

Yes

Also, I just got the first two endings yesterday. Any tips for radiance? I've only had a couple tries so far, so I don't really have a sense of how hard this boss will be. Is it as hard as anything else I've fought or is it not worse than Traitor Lord, Watcher Knights, etc?

Constant confusion; the video game
>where do I go?
>found a new area but where’s the map seller?
>where do I go again?
>beat a boss but don’t understand the story so no feeling of accomplishment is gained
>where do I go again?
>beat the game but don’t understand the story, get the bad ending (I think)
>try to get good ending
>where do I go again?

Nah

That's metroidvania for you.

What are some good charms to use? I keep Wayward Compass and Gathering Swarm on all the time, and Grubsong seems great.

I really like Thorns of Agony, but it feels like a wasted slot half the time, the range is too short. Shaman Stone and Mark of Pride are great for combat, and I can never decide if Dashmaster is worth it for the agility.

Fragile Strength and Fragile Heart are the best by far. Just quit to title when you're at 1 HP, it accomplishes the same thing as dying, except you don't lose money and your shards don't break. When you load the save you'll respawn at the last bench you sat on AND YOUR PROGRESS WILL ACTUALLY BE SAVED, including items, events, map progress etc. Best pro-tip in this game by far.

Played long time ago, i liked charm that extended sword reach.

Hahahahaha... no.

Ehh. How about defensive ones, or magic? I've been playing around with Flukenest recently, the lowered range is a big tradeoff for the power boost. I'm not sure what to make of stuff like Stalwart Shell, Baldur Shell, and Dreamshield.

Why is Johnny Glamour in the corner?

It's really not. It's easy to find your way around Castlevania games.
