SMTV is the only thing I've been excited for for years, and we still haven't gotten any announcements. Why?

Because passion projects don't earn money.
Because SMT is outdated and Persona is what we all need right
Because Atlus only cares about Persona and Sony money. I'll be genuinely surprised if we get it before the next Nintendo console gets announced.
It's probably the last Atlus game I'll ever buy, they have made it very clear that they don't give a single fuck about their old fans and would replace them for otaku money any day of the week.
Because they have to keep milking Persona 5 despite it not returning any successful spinoffs.
Money. Still surprises me that Atlus got away with the same horseshit Gamefreak pulls with 60$ DLC and it’s almost never complained about because it’s Persona 5.
>Implying people want persona 5 dynasty warriors before smt5
>Implying people want a golden version of persona 5 before smt5
>Implying people want a sequel to Persona Q just so they can play as joker before smt5
>Implying people want a shit anime based on persona 5
>Implying people wanted persona 5 dancing spinoff before smt5
I love persona 5 too but this is just blatant milking and desu it's kinda sucking the fun and enjoyment out of the persona 5. Atlus simply can't handle the fame they've been getting recently and so they're doing all this bullshit before persona 5 loses popularity. I'm willing to believe that before any more smt5 news (If it hasn't been canceled already) they're going to another 2 spinoffs titles
>Implying someone who's not a SEETHING SMTfag wants a smt game
Just let it go
SMT IV and Persona 5 were both announced prematurely and took forever to come out. SMT V's time will come.
They’re trying to postpone your suicide
The smt team is almost completely separate from the persona team, there's almost no crossover except for when the persona team steals developers from the smt team
The dancing games are great simply for the social link interactions, pure fan servicey goodness. The rhythm sections can go fuck a horse though
That's because no one cares about dancing games and PQ2 was on a dead console, P5 Arena would sell well but they insist on doing the most irrelevant spinoffs first
Despite P5D being about the most successful entry in the franchise, it still sold less than half of what P4D sold. It's honestly baffling.
Delayed so that they can release it simultaneously on the PS4/5.
A-any day now, bros.
Kinda hard to make a franchise built around dual-screens on the Switch.
They could always keep the 3DS alive single-handedly.
mapping isn't the interesting part of EO tbqh it's the FOEs
>Implying people want a golden version of persona 5 before smt5
they do
But mapping was comfy and it's gonna be tedious as fuck on the switch just like Mario Maker is.
So.
SMT Kart but instead of karts various SMT characters ride demons.
y/n?
Switch the cow with JoJo and keep atlus as it is and you're on point
They announced it too early like the FF7 remake announcement so now we're going to have to live with the fact the game exists but they're not working on it.
Everyone would play Mara.
This is just standard Atlus, don't you remember Persona 5 and SMTIV?
And yet they don't release it on switch
>SMTV hasn't been heard from since its announcement
>the new Etrian Odyssey hasn't been heard from since its announcement
But we gotta give the fans what they want: Persona 5 musou and a re-release after two years!
SMTV is supposed to be Switch Exclusive isn't it? Persona is on PlayStation, SMT is on Nintendo systems.
I really don't know how much longer that's going to hold up
>SMTV is the only thing I've been excited for for years
Then you have shit tastes in games, case closed.
When Nintendo was doing super poorly, SMT was on Playstation, now that PS is imploding in Japan(the only market Atlus demonstrably cares about) I don't see why that paradigm should hold up.
>Why?
Working on RE:Fantasy :)
It's probably a combination of P5's good sales being the result of it getting popular with normalfags who don't buy niche rhythm spinoffs and dedicated fans being tired of all of the blatant cashgrabs.
premature announcement they made at the Switch conference just for buzz/to celebrate SMT's anniversary before they even started development
i fully expect it to be out as the switch is dying and they miss their ticket to make SMT actually viable as it's own series
Atlus is laughably bad at managing money everytime they get any so they're probably going under if they don't do this
I wouldn't mind hearing some news about that too
That's the worst part, with Pokemon hobbling it's way into gen 8 there's a wide open market for SMT now and they're going to miss the window.
They already went under once
You posted it OP. Atlus is too busy milking Persona 5
>Atlus has wrapped around from making modern fantasy to avoid medieval schlock back to making medieval schlock to avoid modern fantasy
>but they're making it a "reverse isekai" or some shit because they can't just play it straight when it comes to fantasy either
i hate RE Fantasy based on everything we know about it, which is admittedly very little. i already know they're gonna milk the ginger elf hardcore though.
Didn't they moved it to Nintendo because Nocturne sold like shit in Japan?
Welcome to atlus.
They moved to Nintendo handhelds because they were more popular, except when they released Personas only on PSP. SMT in general has been getting more budget titles than full 3D ones since the PS2 days.
Some of you faggots were assuring us that we’d hear something at TGS. Well it came and went, what now morons?
>it came and went
What are you talking about? TGS is in september
>They already went under once
They did not.

>From 2010 to 2013, Atlus, as a company, ceased to exist and its name became a brand of Index Corporation for video games in Japan. However, Atlus USA remained active and was renamed Index Digital Media, serving as the North American subsidiary for Index Corporation. Much like in Japan, video games continued to be released in that region under the Atlus name during this period. In June 2013, it was reported that Index Corporation filed for civil rehabilitation proceedings, facing bankruptcy with debts of ¥24.5 billion. An Atlus USA spokesperson said that Index Digital Media and the Atlus brand were unaffected by the proceedings.[20]
English isn't your first language is it.
Their parent company went under, not Atlus themselves. Can you read?
The only spinoff I need is fucking Persona 5 Arena.
I'm such a sucker for fighting games.
It better be at TGS this year
Atlus almost never reveals shit at TGS or E3. They always show their own stuff on their own events and livestreams.
Well it's been in full development for over a year now going by news put out in February 2018 so there will likely be something shown at TGS.
why does this surprise you? they've literally been The Persona Company since 4...
