WHERE NO TURTLE HAS GONE BEFORE
>pick up game
>turn it to hard mode with comic colors
>beat it in 45 minutes
>put it away for the year
my friend does something similar with Kirby Super Star, he memorized the location of every item in the Great Cave Offensive before we met and we play it once in a while.
anyway, TMNT IV is another reason why the SNES is the best system, it's got the most amount of perfect games that are just games without annoying points or cutscenes.
Crazy shit happens in New York at 3:00 AM. Moreso than usual I mean.

I could cry
the first Shredder is a great boss once you learn how to throw enemies. It's not explained anywhere, it gets you more points, and you can do it on any (most?) foot soldiers on any stage
>take foot soldier that hasn't been hit yet
>hit once
>do quick step towards them
>hit them again and it will throw them
I don't know if you can influence HOW you throw them, or if you'll slam them side to side, but you can consistently do those to them if they've never been hit before.
Anyone else used to think that Super Shredder was giving two thumbs down every time he got hit?
These were made before that became a meme, I'm pretty sure.
ALLEYCAT BLUES
I recall being able to influence that by how long I held down the D-pad for before hitting the attack button. Something like 'throw towards camera if still holding' and 'side slamming if released and close enough.' Either way, had to not have advanced past about half the foot soldier and he still had to be reeling from a blow.

Do people really play these shit tier games?

Oh yeah this existed.
Don't you have better things to do then post this same exact message everywhere?
Is it just me or is TMNT as a property ruined by Viacom who is Disney basically?
>there are people in this thread right now who didn't pre-order their hoverboard for next year's racing tournaments
It's so depressing to see all these 'future' years alluded to in video games and fiction come and go and nothing fucking ever became as awesome as we were led to believe.
So did this.
Played through once. Got all pissy "hey this isn't like the game1!" when doing it but it turns out it's based on the Arcade game which I've never played. Not through fault of my own, I tried emulating it with MAME but MAME is impossible to figure out.
If this game had like, 3 more real stages it would have been closer to being on par with TiT. It's so damn short and one stage is just a boss rush.
He's here, so no
I really really really like retro depictions of futuristic cities. The way they look busy even at night, all the colors, the large obnoxious lights.
The arcade version for this song sounds even better
m.youtube.com
I'll never understand why some developer think having the combat take place in all 8 directions instead of just back and forward works in this kind of genre. Entire game felt sloppy as fuck and the music was a fucking legitimate insult to the originals. If you can't use the original musics, fucking make your own 100 percent original compositions instead of trying to ape it and come out sounding worse.
Never did get that final achievement for having all 4 players alive when Shredder is defeated.
The Arcade version and SNES version are very similar games
Most people are familiar with the SNES version though and a large amount of people bitched about the missing stages and no Bebop & Rocksteady in the remake.
It's just one of those solidly good games.
Viacom has destroyed TMNT.
Ehh, the heavy beat of the SNES version is a bit lost and though I'm not that user it's what I quite like. It's still a great song, though!

Neon-Night Riders however has slightly different arrangement in the bridges and I'm pretty fond of the song on the whole. I guess that SNES quality synth just speaks to me more despite the arcade having higher quality beats.
>the new fifth turtle who's someone's DeviantArt OC turned canon
lol
>IDW adds a female turtle after Laird was vehemently against the idea back when he had control of the license
>That thing.. that is the current TMNT cartoon
>still hasn't been a really good video game since freakin' 1993's Tournament Fighters
It's not just that fifth Human Man-Woman Turned Turtle, but also:
- TMNT 2012 started good and quickly went to garbage during Season 2. And it was a very obnoxious show a chunk of the time because of Donatello's annoying beta thirsty simping loser for April obsession, Mikey being VERY annoying, and Casey being pointless good for nothing and ALSO annoying.
- Rise of TMNT is so bad that the ratings are bad and the toys themselves aren't selling and TMNT as a property always sold well on toys even when videogames took over? TMNT toys still sold well.
- The two live action Michael Bay TMNT movies are failures.
So yes Viacom is doing a lot of harm to this property. They're Disney.
>>IDW adds a female turtle after Laird was vehemently against the idea back when he had control of the license
He sold all his shares, but you know what? It's because he stopped caring about the franchise and given how things are turning out? It's like George Lucas who got sick and tired of Star Wars (and the fandom hating him). He made his millions and now he can just retire and enjoy his life.
>>still hasn't been a really good video game since freakin' 1993's Tournament Fighters
I swear hire Capcom and hire Itsuno's Devil May Cry team. Make them watch TMNT 2003, the first live action film, and the first 50 issues of IDW TMNT and you got yourself the concept to make a damn fine game with reliable solid gameplay.
Hate that Platinum phoned it in on their game. The Transformers game had more effort put into it.
We need a TMNT game with some good unlockable outfits for the turtles.
Speaking of tmnt cartoons is the 2003 series any good.
Raph's all black wrestling outfit from the Archie comics is a must.
Isn't that from the episode where April murdered Karai?
Only the first four seasons. After that watch Turtles Forever as a series finale.
Tokka and Rahzar need to be in more stuff.
Yes
Yeah, ignore everything after season 4.
It's good if you haven't read the Mirage comics
If you want serious TMNT with multiple plots then watch it. Just don't expect whacky woohoo turtle man adventures from it
Murdered her by firing a bazooka at the bitch, yes.
>still hasn't been a really good video game since freakin' 1993's Tournament Fighters
I know I'm in the minority but I really enjoy Mutants in Manhattan.
>Tokka and Rahzar were created because Laird and Eastman didn't care much about Bebop and Rocksteady
>B&R still in the franchise all these years later while the other two are afterthoughts
Doesn't help that Rahzar is just a bigger and much dumber Slash.
and got the names mixed up, Tokka is the turtle.
You can ignore this and watch back to the sewers, only to be disappointed when it unceremoniously ends without resolving what caused the huge 3 way Shredder fight in the first episode.
Or just watch Forever I guess.
>still no TMNT/Usagi Yojimbo crossover game
Why must life be such pain?
That could easily be fixed by keeping Slash as the tortoise-derived dumb brute nominally allied with the Turtles and making Tokka into a sneaky ax-crazy psycho who loves to ambush and set traps but can still throw down in a fight with jaws that can bend steel and a razor-edged-spike-covered shell.courtesy of being an alligator snapping turtle.
Usagi is getting his own cgi series soon, hopefully that gets him more (good) attention.
Sweet. That'll be a first for him, won't it, an animated series of his own?
Yeah, far as I know his only animated appearances have been TMNT cameos.
REMEMBUH ME?!
Biggest disappointment ever.
>hey it's a celebration of ALL of TMNT!
>mostly only based on the 2007 movie and does it's best to pretend the '87 series didn't exist aside from a Technodrome stage.
the hudson river, 2 years ago...
Don't forget THREE different Rabbids and Raphael's alter ego from the 2007 film.
>The Fugitoid
Literally why
there are very some stages were in the snes version not in the arcade and vice versa
Reminder that the Out of the Shadows game soundtrack is so much better than it has any right to be

Who the hell thought it was a good idea to add 3 rabbids over actual tmnt characters.
