Of you noticed when people like Samsora fighting and winning against Leo's Joker, the main point it that you don't give the pretty boi an inch, constant pressure and attacking fucks up Joker really bad, that's when the inevitable Rebel Guard and counters appear

What stage should I be bringing him to? Somewhere small where he doesn't have room to move?

If I remember correctly, Samsora's momentum was usually on stages like Smashville and PokeStadium 2 when Leo is not abusing the plataforms to abuse the UAir

When hes on arsene keep baiting out his aerials and grabbing him, if you have a tether grab then even better, basically camp the nigger until arsene goes away then you fuck him up because he dies at 120.

This isn't exactly the best advice by the way. Joker WANTS you to try and shield his aerials, he's always looking for grabs since he can convert off them. His neutral is based around fishing for grabs and punishing your landing.

There's only one Joker at my local and he downplays the character too much to get any advice from him.

Leo likes PS2, Peach is the most complex character on the higher end. Honestly just having a good grasp of the basics, and an established main is enough to deal with most Jokers. Most think they can be carried by Arsene, just play good, and you'll do fine. If you're losing to a good Joker, they're probably just better at Smash than you and would probably win with any character. Just play patiently, dont get hit, and keep up the pressure when you win a neutral exchange, if you think you're gonna hit shield with an aerial fade it back etc.

Many people try to imitate Leo, but a few can do it good

Grabbing him while he has Arsene helps. Unless he baited you into his down b for an early Arsene he should be around 60-70% and you can put in some pummels and a throw because damage also lowers the counter and he can't do anything except mash if you pummel too long.

Well I'm not playing online I'm playing in person at a tournament. I'm not concerned with fighting low/mid level Jokers cause I can beat them, I'm concerned with the ones that are my level or higher.

Any character who can pressure works. Floaty characters will get juggled nonstop by even a half-decent Joker. Joker can zone break like its nothing so dont use snake or olimar against him.

Platforms can work in both your favor and his. Being below a platform means he cant just bulletstorm you, and depending on who you use you can even punish his landing.

About online joker? Sort of. Offline locals will always have people with some kind of personal tech for their character though.
