Some people like it. I am not one of them; I thought it was one of the worst games I ever played.

Back when Sonic Team was creative.

I love it but I’ve only played the multiplayer so I can’t really refute the people who say the game is bad

Cute egg animals!

Had it for GameCube a long time ago, but ended up selling it. I didn't think it was all that great, but it had it's own charm and I regret selling it. I liked the GBA minigames.

my nigga

I thought it was cringey as fuck and that was when i was like 8

Fun platformer, but it had a ton of bugs and felt kinda janky sometimes. Still worth a switch rerelease or sequel.

It's mediocre. Regardless the sfx of Billy saying "cookadoorudoo!" is burned into my mind.

hidden gem

All I know of this are the fucking TPP memes.

I always wanted to play this game. Didn’t look amazing, but I thought it looked fun. I could never find a copy though

Pretty good. Caught a lot un unwarranted criticism due to the trending Sonic hatred at the time. Deserved a sequel.

Not a bad game. Not amazing either. Just "good." Had more than its fair share of jank and flaws, but it was more than stable enough.
Loved the main characters' designs. Really shows that Yuji Uekawa's style can apply to humans without it looking too fucky.

It was a fun game, I liked it. It surprised me that it went under the radar as hard as it did, though at the same time it wasn't a game that I could see getting a sequel either.
It did the mechanics involved with rolling stuff fairly well, but the platforming involved with the eggs was really painful especially if you landed on a platform funny after an egg bounce, 50/50 to land on the platform with your egg, or your egg to drop you into the abyss.
Still a fun game tho for how unique it is.

One of the most unique and charming games on the GameCube

Needs a modern systems port.

It's okay, but its issues get in the way of getting much enjoyment out of the game
Nine times out of ten you will die because of the camera or bad collision detection

I was in elementary school when it came out. I kept begging my mom to get it for me from Hollywood video after school. Eventually I rented it, then bought it. Don't know if I still have it

Decent with an interesting concept, the multiplayer was fun.

I enjoyed it enough to 100% it. The sound effects and Billy's voice lines are burned into my head. Also, fuck Circus Park except for the Knuckles Chaotix reference and fuck rails.

Good morning! I first learned about this game through the porn before I knew he was based off an actual game. I'd ask God for forgiveness but he stopped listening years ago.

I remember playing it at my relative’s house back when it came out. It made me rage hard, but I still liked the concept and seeing a fresh face from Sonic Team.

I had fun with the multiplayer playing against my brother back in the day.

come again?

Damn she's as cute as I remember her being, kid me had too many vidya crushes.
>Circus Park
Recently replayed the game on emulator, had the equivalent of Nam flashbacks because of how fucked the rails were. Apparently it was just me being shit at games, but I could've fucking swore it was impossible to land on the rails while holding the egg
That comic is too real.

>Spoiler
The same thing happened to me, Circus Park mission 1 was a hard wall for me as a little faggot, but when I went back to it years later I got past it relatively easily by jumping onto the rails with the egg, it's apparently a lot more consistent than trying to slowly push the egg onto the rail which usually results in the egg falling through the rail or inexplicably moving too fast and falling off the edge on the other side.

very dissapointing. it was supposed to be sonic mixed with super monkey ball

instead we got a boring generic platformer

YEAH-HOOO.

This was when SEGA wasn't afraid to be innovative. I loved playing this and monkey ball on the gamecube, and I wish Billy Hatcher would get a sequel.

Circus Park rails are particularly bad. It took me a good couple of tries before I was able to finish the first mission. Despite the rails being ground level, they're just high enough that running into them with an egg will just cause you to fall through it, so your only option is to jump or midair roll into them.

Fuck that first ice stage I never beat it because the damn egg kept falling off the tracks

It was alright, played and finished it around two years ago. I feel it was a game that was a bit clunky and annoying to get through sometimes. I remember dying a lot on the part where you had to egg roll onto to a rail and if you missed you'd die. Feels like a game I would've appreciated a lot more if I was a kid since I was really going through it due to wondering what the fuck it was about back when I was a kid and saw ads for it. I do also remember getting to the end of one of the last stages and the game just telling you "fuck you, you need to have 25 emblems to get to final level" as opposed to just telling me before I even started the level.

Cool environments, nice looking characters and great music, hearing the demonic lalala's in the final boss theme actually sent chills down my spine as it was really unexpected.

I'd say Sega should give it another shot, it's by no means a bad game and could be nice to see again on the Switch or something.
