Sailor Moon had a few great games (Arcade, RPG, the MD/SFC games otherwise were about average). Magic Knight Rayearth on Saturn was fantastic (the SFC games was okay at best). Each of the Valis games (especially I & III) were great...SD Valis on the Genesis & Super Valis IV of the SFC/SNES were kinda shit.

Hyperdimension Neptunia fits this category...take that as you will. As would the Atelier titles to a certain degree (no costume changes to hide secret identity though).

S2 is literally the worst part of the show. The mecha are animated terribly, the "multisided conflict" is mostly just padding since the only reason it even happens is because of miscommunication and stupidity, and it very easily resolved with a chat over tea, and all the new elements lack the depth of the first season or flat out make no sense (like the whole thing with Presia). There's a reason that arc only exists in the anime and in no other part of the franchise

For me, it's Sailor Jupiter.

She learned to hate men because her father was more obsessed with his political job when Rei's mother was ill. Rei's mother died in a hospital and because her father preferred his job to his wife Rei learned to hate all men starting with her own family.......even though again she lives off her grandfather so she's also a hypocrite.

I think something people that fixate on that point to shit on Rei either don't understand or aren't willing to admit is that very few people really care about the original manga. It was the source of the 90's anime but the 90's anime has displaced it in social consciousness completely. And it's not like something like the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure anime adaptation where it's just more popular, it's pretty radically different at points and even most people that bothered to read the manga agree the changes were for the better. Takeuchi is talented but her storytelling and script ideas are probably her weakest aspect.

She's garbage. To me she ruined the entire franchise. 3 of the main Sailor Moon arcs are all about her. I don't care about her stupid arc about making friends with Sailor Saturn. I don't care about her first serious romance with a horse making her a zoophile.
