One thing I noticed, at least my personal experience.
Joycons drift when you are too rough on them.

Get a can of compressed air, poke it underneath the rubber flaps of the joycon sticks, and spray around. Now your joycons work fine for a few months until they get dust in them again, then just repeat the process.

The only difference is battery life. Nintendo keeps both processors clocked at the same speeds for homogeneity in gameplay and for the advertised longer battery life in the new model

Do you use you a switch in a situation where you’re away from a wall outlet for extended periods of time?

The modularity of it made the controller very sensitive. The Sticks tend to get Wobbly quickly and drift and button failure is common. Not to mention it doesn't have Bluetooth like the regular controller so you need an adapter or cable to use it on PC.

That's fucking insane. I could get three decent controllers for that price, you'd expect it to have the best imaginable build quality to justify the cost.

And I didn't even know you couldn't connect it via bluetooth. That basically means it's worse than the cabled 360 controller I got back when for less than a quarter what this thing costs.

They're making a new one for $180, but I don't know who would buy that over even a Switch Lite for $20 more.

In my experience I never wait for any sort of new release unless I know it's coming within a month or two. I've been hurt more often than not by waiting instead of just getting what I wanted then and there

My guess is that Switch "pro" will be tv mode only. You have the Lite which specializes as a handheld, the original which is a jack of all trades, and then the pro will specializes as a console and come with a pro controller. This will give people multiple price points and let them focus on the version they actually want. Lite will do well in Japan while the Pro would be for people outside Japan. It would naturally be more powerful because it wouldn't have to worry about battery life.

It's an ok idea but it goes against what Nintendo wants for joycon. That they work together and independently. Otherwise we would have d-pad joycon already. They don't because if it's single joycon those arrow buttons become the regular buttons. But a sideways GameCube joycon would just be confusing.

US got Pink Left and Green Right

while Japan got Green Left and Pink Right.

There are resellers on ebay that buy both and sell them in pairs such as both green or both pink with a slight surcharge. If nintendo does the same you could get both Orange for ~$90-100.
