Does Yea Forums like Subnautica?
It's really deep
Does Yea Forums like Subnautica?
Remember when they fired their sound guy for wrong think?
Seething NEET
Is this game anygood?
Filtered :^)
I like driving the cyclops
Lol cuck
Actually turned me off the game.
Heard the new protag is a woman who can't shut the fuck up so I don't feel like I've missed much.
Lol no guns.
Remember Sandy hook.
started playing this recently. the ocean scares the fuck out of me and i don't know how i'm going to finish.
Yup, they're very insistent on forcing those type of characters. It's 100% a virtue signal.
after i get the cyclops i lose incentive to play the game personally
I still think it's one of the very few actually good 'survival' games out there
play actual surviving games.
What do you suggest?
Yeah I liked it a lot, got it since early stages of early access. That being said I ain't doing the same with Below Zero, this time I'll wait until 1.0 releases, I want to see how it develops.
Best part is the sound is what makes the game.
I like it but there's too few reason to use it besides lugging the walker around or going to very specifics areas.
If it just had a scanner room to highlight nearby minerals it would be so much more useful.
Cyclop > Sea Truck
Base building in Sub Zero >>>> Base game
Map size and biomes Sub Zero >>>> Base game
Sub Zero fauna > Base game
Voice protag in Sub Zero= WHO THE FICK THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA?!
Dios mio...
Game sucks living under the ocean sucks.
have never played this game and never will but have wanked to some of the monsters in it
In Sub Zero you can craft a short range portable minerals scanner
id rather play ark, it isnt as pretty and theres not nearly as much going on underwater. but dinosaurs trump weird dragons, same with frogs and giant eagles.
I never took a hard look at this but he straight up looks like a sims character that had the head width slider all the way to the left
Yes, but I don't give a fuck about Sub Zero
Shame, it has some negative points but so far looks to be much better than the base game
Wow that's unfortunate
Being immune to Leviathans is plenty of reason to use it, super comfy
I prefer the Forest. Much more brutal
I just can't agree with the choice of a voiced protag or how thye let go of someone for making an attack helicopter joke.
They want to act like petulant kids they'll be treated as such
very scary game
Yeah, thats why i am gonna pirate it
I bought the base game but i am nit gonna give them money anymore
Maybe it just seemed like it, but I could swear the AI in that game is fucking pro at sneaking up on you even in broad daylight. Freaky as fuck.
>alien diving game
>no harpoon launcher
>and for the shittiest morality reasons instead of engine limitations or something
They seriously went full retard with this, the sound design was like 90% of what nailed the atmosphere in-game
Unfortunately it's really difficult to talk about since Yea Forums is so utterly obsessed with politics
You have it backwards. They decided to make the game because they didn't want to make something about guns. They didn't forbid guns from the game, the entire game was designed around making a scary survival game. Enemies wouldn't be a scary threat if you could just shoot them.
That's why they don't even have melee weapons except for a survival knife. The whole game is designed around the fact that you're basically at the bottom of the food chain.
It's good. Balancing of the submarines is a problem is a problem and there should have been more cyclops level deep stuff other than the lava cave system. The base building stuff can be comfy but is pointless bloat. However, the sound guy getting fired was lame given how the games audio profile is a key component of its excellence. Also, fug the pop-in. Overall it's a very impressive title.
Hey, Yea Forums here. No, bad game.
It's worse than No Man's Sky.
Is the Cyclops literally immune to damage from Leviathans? Like, it won't attack you, or it attacks but the Cyclops's HP doesn't go down?
Ark survival evolved is OP as fuck
Shitposting aside how is Below Zero in comparison to the original game? Is it worth a pirate / buy?
Also VR support yet?
Pirated it, loved it so much I planned to buy a legit copy and do another playthrough after finishing, heard that shit happened, never bought a copy and then pirated the DLC.
Yeah the devs are fags, but the base game at least is solid. I always love stabbing the shit out of leviathans.
It used to be. It's actually very vulnerable to creature attack.
You turn it off and they don't see you or attack you
You can also just ignore them with the shield module on
This. I was using the mech suit and grappling to the ghost Leviathan and drilling his shit in. So much fun riding him and fucking his day up. After I killed him in the graveyard area there were so many more of those tinier monsters floating around because I fucked up the ecosystem of that particular area.
There are tons of ways to fight back later, enemies become trivial
Some of the new features look interesting to me, like the modular sea truck and the large room which you can divide into sections, but your character no longer being alone really puts me off from BZ,
It's super cool for the first 6-8 hours and then it gets boring when you realize just how few types of predators there are. Things get a little TOO comfortable
pretty decent game for its price tag. Wish they would go a bit deeper with game mechanics though
That's a great reasoning but you're wrong. The lead dev did a blog post about Sandy Hook basically being the reason for no guns
functionally. worst case scenario is you waste time.
>something is about to attack you
>cut power to engines
>get hit one or two times before they leave you alone
>repair the damage
>begin moving again
>repeat, if necessary, until you're out of the patrol area
so technically speaking you will only ever be in real danger if you don't know the above tactic or you're impatient.
the player was never at the bottom and all you needed to reach top was an stasis gun, which you can get very early
If you're impatient you just hit the shield button and turn into a fat God
How did they go from Natural Selection 2 to that?
It's fun and some fresh air in my opinion.
It has a unique feeling of creepy: You are not forced to go anywhere for the most part. You are doing it on your own, on your terms.
I don't know, it must just be me but I got really sweaty a lot of times in some close calls where things attack you from unseen angles while you have to watch our for your breath.
In contrast, the comfy base building and plant shenanigans are pretty neat. :^)
Don't worry user, I can see those signals you're broadcasting. You definitely don't like those sjw types, so I can tell that you are very virtuous.
Tell me about, women shouldn't be in games at all, and they should definitely never talk.
nice early game
okay mid game
terrible late game
the sub is worthless except to go down to the meme tree and finish the story with mommy dragon. reapers should have been way more dangerous instead of just swimming around very specific, easily avoidable, parts of the crashed ship and the border areas where they swim and screech endlessly and guard literally nothing of value. i found bonesharks and the terror squids much more dangerous. ghost reapers were fun to observe. what little survival aspect there was was gone when get the heat knife and you're just left wondering why you turned it on at all. overall a decent game but the scale is way too small.
