I distinctly remember one of SgtMkIV's maps doing this shit if it detected Project Brutality on. More than a few Minecraft modders did this shit as well.

Or future versions of the mod have insane feature creep that adds in a bunch of completely unneeded shit. AWKCR for Fallout 4 fell into this quite a bit.
