Then halfway through suddenly it is totally not a trigger show look for every scrap of evidence you can to say they were never even involved. Trigger was always at war with A-1.

My main complaint with the game. Side dodging is always relative to the character. So if the camera is facing both players from the side, hitting R1+L/R will always side dodge. It's when your character is in the background facing the opponent/camera is when hitting R1+up will actually backstep. It shouldn't be so mixed up, it should always be relative to the character so that the camera doesn't fuck your inputs.

Still, saying that it's slightly better than arena masher games is really underselling it for no reason other than maybe you really like those games. Because this game feels more closer to Gundam game than to Naruto games when it comes to responsiveness and decision making. Games like Jump Force literally have supers that are punishable on hit. You can't say that this is only slightly better than that.

Nah. I enjoyed the naruto ulimate ninja 2/3 and storm 1 for what they were but I didn't buy any after that. It might be underselling it a little but I just think KLK is really lacking in potential depth.

You didn't list wall splats, automatic homing dash follow ups and that some characters do have multi button strings (like Sanageyama)

We can agree that this game should be about $40 at most. But note that GB is also a combo starter and while I didn't experiment too much, characters like Sanageyama had Gb as a high damage combo ender and Gamagori seemed to have some kind of extension as well. Need to see if more characters can do that, but even 1-star difficulty CPUs don't give you much room to lab stuff out.

Also, burst is a lot like GG/BB where you can waste it if your opponent is attacking from a medium range like Gamagori. I bursted at terrible times because of his whip range and there were attacks that also went through bursts clean. I haven't figured out what it was, but I think it was also GB.

I've wrote it before, and I will write it again: I would rather have a small but unique cast than a cast padded with clones with barely any variance. I would gladly pay for a fighting game with 4 characters if all four were fun to play as. And no, saying "Just add 60 characters but make then all different!" is not an argument, companies don't have infinite resources to throw at games until they become better, that's the argumentative equivalent of saying games would be better if companies just "Added a billion sidequests and a trillion gameplay mechanics, because that is just a matter of effort not time or budget constraints!"

That being said 60 is a steep price for any game really, I will wait until this is on sale.
