ToTW is the only way fallout 3 is even playable for me any more, and even then the only parts I enjoy are early-game Anchorage and Point Lookout.

3 is ok. Still trash compared to any other actual fallout game.

I actually recently replayed FO3 and it was a lot better than I thought it was going to be. Sure there's some weird, clunky and even downright annoying things in the game but it's definitely not the epitome of shit like people pretend it is.

Fallout 3 would probably the worst AAA game I've ever played were it not for Skyrim. I genuinely hope the majority of the people working at Bethesda get fucking AIDS, especially Todd Howard.

Fallout 3 had the better motivating incident over the other 3d fallout games.

New Vegas was just like. Yeah some dude shot you, go get him or whatever. You'll probably be shot a million other times in the process.

Fallout 3 was like. Hey, your dad just ran out on you and you've been kicked out of the one place you call home and have nowhere to go. You can go look for him or find your own slice of wasteland to inhabit.

Having watched both videos, Many A True Nerd is right. He did prove that F3 was better than I thought, the game had several merits that I hadn't even stopped to consider since I really couldn't get invested in the story or world at all. Yes, he also ignores the faults of the game in favour of making it look better, but HBomber does that to way worse extent.
Not to mention that HBomber has his head up his own ass so hard that it makes his game videos absolutely infuriating to watch, and his presentation style is just annoying as all fuck.
I still don't like Fallout 3, but it is better than I thought from having played it several years ago.

Fallout 3 was a fun game when I played when I was 12 and it got me into the series as a whole.
I can't say if it holds up but without it I wouldn't have played 1, 2, or NV and I wouldn't have spent hours talking about it with my friends.

Fallout 3 was okay.
