No. That was exactly my point. If you let a thing's popularity influence your opinion on said thing, your opinion is flimsy garbage. "undeserved" popularity is the same as "overrated" - shitty buzzword that has no substance. You either like it or you don't, liking it more or less based on how much other people like it is the absolute weakest position one could ever take.

I won't dispute the normiebait one, thats more a matter of differing perspectives and opinions. Personally I think Undertale is a average game that has catchy as hell music pulling the most work, while Cuphead has all the work and effort into Fleischer style animation having my respect, but I'm not a large fan of boss-rush style games.

I will however decry that your thoughts of them being the worst games being objectively wrong, since not only are their sales decent but the games work and are playable.
