What's your opinion on Skywind's rendition of Nerevar Rising? It uses a fan-made Dunmeri language for the vocals. Though I still have massive reservations about Skywind itself I think the song is fucking great.

Why tho.
>tfw no dunmer gf
Why not use the original tho?
>not marrying Brenya as a 6'3 Nord Chad
Where are your priorities user?
To keep in toe with Skyrim's theme using vocals in its main theme. And since Bethesda has no interest in making a Dunmeri language they did it themselves.
Vanilla Dunmers in Skyrim are ugly as fuck.
I think basedwind's developers are delusional retards wasting time and effort on something nobody will actually play.
Nobody played Morroblivion, nobody will play this.
>Dunmeri language
No race in TES has fully unique speaking language, they just have their own local phrases and words to give each locations/race some flavour. Making shit up just to feel special makes no sense for a "love letter" and just shits on established lore. God I hate modders so much, bunch of snowflakes.
Is that the one at the College? Don't remove her hood you'll be cursed
Morroblivion is out? I thought it was stuck in Development hell.
So you hate Skyrim's main theme then?
It's pretty bad honestly. The solo singer sounds like a fucking modern pop singer with how she vibrates her notes.
True there is no 'official' language for any of the races outside Dwemer, but I think Morrowind has enough Dunmer phrasing and words that someone creative enough while being versed in the lore can create a few lines for one song. IIRC some of the Daedric Ruin names actually have meanings to them, one of the meaning "The place that shall not be named". And we all know how fucking weird Daedric Ruin names are.
Skyrim's main theme is soulless "epic" garbage. Bethesda don't understand subtlety anymore. They would never allow Jeremy Soule to make a calm theme like the Morrowind theme again.
You do realize Jeremy made Skyrim's theme right?
Jeremy Soul made the entire music for Skyrim you mouth brrathing autist.
Scratch that I didn't read the post fully. I think Skyrim's theme is fine, it's deliberately playing at the theme of the Thu'um and using the Voice which is why it's the first TES theme with a vocal aspect. It's pretty easy to understand why Soule made it.
Anyone that has skill in game development should rally behind OpenMW and stop with "porting" morrowind to newest TES version. It's a waste of time. There will always be hard-coded limitations you cannot get around. Especially if you intend to keep gameplay mechanics intact. There is no way to create new skills without access to the source code.
OpenMW has made so much progress. I play the TES3mp mod for it with my friend and nephew and we coop Morrowind flawlessly, like I had dreamed of doing for 15 years.
The homeade engine is open source and a lot of stuff will be de-hardcoded as time goes by. This will allow the potential for mods that change fundamental things - from creating all new skills and attributes, to implementing completely different leveling systems (experience points, perks, etc.) without having to be a coder. And of course if you are a coder, even more power.
I haven't been following morroblivirim or skymorron or any of these hype mods that never release, but if it's simply porting over the same models and textures to the new engine, or making all new custom ones for it, it's all still a tremendous waste of time that will inevitable hit walls.
Contribute the effort OpenMW. It won't just stop at Morrowind. I truly believe it'll allow us to do things like moving Fallout: New Vegas to the engine and bringing us coop for it.
Yeah, and Todd told him he wanted big burly guys singing and big drums. Because that's the extent of Todd's creative process - the most obvious, generic 'nordic' things imaginable.
I'm well aware.
I'll never get the reason for remaking Morrowind in the following Games.
All that time could have been used to make Morrowind rebuilt bigger and better.
Or even make Skyrim better with mods.
I already played Morrowind. I don't need to do it again with a different engine and less features.
Nords in TES have always been fairly generic "Nord" though, what the fuck were you expecting? Spaceships and flying horns? The lore of the Thu'um was already established by Morrowind as well so it's not even a new concept they made up specifically for the theme of Skyrim.
I'd say it was made with Soul(e)
Thats the charm
Does it make anyone else kind of sad after all the centuries of waiting the Ashlanders finally got their savior and by his/her own actions of casting down the Tribunal sealed their demise through Red Mountain's eruption?
Nah Greyskins deserved what they got. And what remains became dirty immigrants living in squalor in Nord lands.
Makes it weird that Azura didn't warn her most faithful group of people about Red Mountain. The Azura worshipers you see in Skyrim are clearly not Ashlanders. Sad thing is that is' unavoidable too, no matter what you do Vivec eventually loses his power and Baar Dau falls into Vvardenfell.
Please give more thicc strong dark elves(preferably elder scrolls but not mandatory.).
The language they made up is not entirely made up by them. They created the new words by referencing the words that do exist in Morrowind. For example "Balmora" is bal mora. Bal = stone, mora = forest. So the name means "stone forest". Ald means old. Sadrith means mushroom. Tel means tower. Molag means fire, making the meaning of the daedric prince "Molag Bal" into "firestore". There are plenty of official confirmed translations for words and they extrapolated their language from that.
I don't acknowledge any lore added by the Cooking with TES novel (aka infernal city) or any subsequent sequels. I'm Nerevar. I'll open the goddam console and delete Baar Dau before it ever impacts Vivec.
Vvardenfell is still intact and run by the Dunmer. And argonians are still little bitch slaves. Fight me.
im going to marry a snarky dunmer girl!
I declare this official morrowind thread:
What kind of character do you usually play? I have a custom house mod I tailored especially to my playstyle. Humble but feature packed (bookshelves, tables, chests, etc). I tend to play a character that locates artifacts and is obsessed with lore. I always fill up the book shelves (book rotate mod) with the books I find and put unique expensive artifacts on display shelves and tables. I put full sets of armor I collect onto Cali's BB mannequins I have in the armor room.
Generally I'll play a battlemage/arcane warrior style player. I rely on magic for healing and functional reasons(water walking/recall etc) and rarely for any type of attack. This varies between arcane warrior or arcane rogue depending on how I feel.
Interesting that Nords and Dunmer share the same word for "Forest", being "Mora". The Nordic "Herma Mora" translates to "Woodland Man". But I agree with you , there is enough Dunmer words within Morrowind for someone to create a few lines to a single song.
based
Ngl I dig that chorus at the end, thats some good shit right there.
I'm gonna try and do a spellthief play through once the next big release of TR happens. Light Armor, Short Blade, Marksman, Alteration, Mysticsm, Destruction, Security.
Dark Elf women are made for Nordic cock.
I think it's a waste of time, effort and money.
>this is what cave-dwelling frost trolls actually believe
Why? Even if the project collapses I'm thankful it happened just so Skywind's Nerevar Rising could exist.
t. 5'10 immigrant Sark Elf "man" squatting in Skyrim.
I'm not a big fan of fan-made lore
I just started a Nord with the premade barbarian class as a challenge. I also used an alternate start mod with TR so I started in the middle of the woods on the mainland. Fun stuff so far.
There's no point. Skyrim's gameplay isn't less shit than morrowind.
What's "fan made lore" in Skywind? If you're talking about the song it seems highly stupid to get mad a few lines of a song that will likely have no impact on anything within the game. Bethesda has also shit on their own lore multiple times, TES fans respect TES lore more than Bethesda does.
That's true I suppose. In TES case fan-made lore is probably higher quality and more faithful to the origins of the series than whatever Bethesda comes up with now.
Good track either way
>Remake Morrowind
>On Skyrim
>With the shit alchemy system
>With the shit equipment system
>With the shit combat system
>With the shit spellmaking system
>With the shit skill tree system
Fucking waste of time, they could have done this on OpenMW, with more freedom.
Tamriel Rebuilt is also by definition "fan made lore" even though they are trying their best to go by lore descriptions of places and cities. And Tamriel Rebuilt is one of the biggest things in the Morrowind community.
>argonians are still little bitch slaves.
Literally as it should be. Imagine being a fucking lizard, ever.
That's why you love them for who they are not what they look like.
>D*ngmer mad they got their comeuppance
lol
She looks like she fucks Nord guys.
I fucking wish
STOO PED
Basically this + dialogue and journal system.. Why are people excited for a ruined Morrowind is beyond me.
Dunno about >shitty combat. Morrowind's diceroll system definitely doesn't first person real-time gameplay.
Agree on everything else tho.
I'd be a fun change of pace from vanilla anyway. As much as I like Skywind's Nerevar Rising there won't be much longevity to it since virtually nothing Project Tamriel is doing will work for or with it.
It's true. Male dunmer have small dicks.
100% this
shut the fuck up boomer
Skyrim had good ambient music
Better than looking like generic Lord of the rings elves painted grey
They're a different species than humans, they should like different than just having pointed ears. Although I admit there should have been a slider for the eye wrinkles, not every dunmer is old or an ashlander.
Vaporware bullshit.
She did though? That's why they built a statue of her in Skyrim...
You just have to use your imagination. And not even very much because it's all about the stats. In Morrowind instead of starting out good at everything (like Skyrim) you start out shit at everything. You've never used a sword before, or any other weapon for that matter. You don't know how to protect yourself effectively with a shield or armor. You're unathletic and can only go short distances before running out of stamina. You can't cast spells, usually they fail.
The whole point is that you DEVELOP your character's skills, because it's an actual RPG, and they learn and get better. So eventually you will have no problem doing these things.
Question about OpenMW, I know its a direct implementation of MW, but let's say I want to change some internal aspect of the game, AI for example, in MW NPCs don't have routines, they are awake day and night, in OpenMW, can I add new routines for the AI without hardcoding every NPC, or add/substitute game mechanics without recompiling the engine ?
>Morrowind's diceroll system definitely doesn't first person real-time gameplay.
It would fit if it was impossible to miss because of player error. All misses should be the result of dice rolls. The game should lock onto a target and only roll hits when in sufficient range and with a valid target. The player in a RPG should only make the decisions. The character should then succeed or fail because of their own skill and luck. The reason why Morrowind's combat sucks is that it's halfway between free interactive combat and RPG diceroll combat so it satisfies neither camp.
>Be me
>Retard
>Wait for years for Skywind
>Thinking it's going to be Morrowind but with Skyrim graphics
>Watch latest Skywind trailer, realize its gonna be Skyrim but set in Vvardenfell
Well i wasted years waiting for this, since skyrim sucks ass, this will suck too maybe. But i can still use as walking simulator to see how morrowind looks with new graphic but I already have teso for that
Here's the lyrics in case you're wondering what they're saying
Luhn-silvar, hortator,
Azura'm gah'amer,
Panthi-seht, sharmat-dra,
gahjuli Nerevar
Osuhn almese sut ohm
yalif sul devahr,
people forget that by the time of skyrim a lot of dark elves had actually returned to morrowind like from winterhold
It'll be another 10 years before OpenMW is anywhere near that at this rate.
She warned her "faithful" of Red Mountains eruption. In the game of Morrowind her "faithful" accounted only of Ashlanders. The Dunmer mage you see at her Shrine in Skyrim is clearly not Ashlander.
I just want a Dunmer gf Yea Forums. Is that too much to ask for?
Skyrim combat lacks depth that Morrowind at least try to address, Morrowind have the slash, chop and thrust, Skyrim have attack, power attack and bash, the best option would add action combat, with attack types, defense against attack types, say a hammer is more effective against skeletons and armored enemies than a sword, but is slower and have a short range.
The mage at the shrine did not build the statue
>Skywind
Someone post the screencap.
>Those of us who were faithful to Azura were given a vision that led us away from the island before the worst came. This shrine is our thanks to her. That none will forget that she watches over us all." Should you ask her, she will also confirm that she is all alone at the shrine: "Yes. There were others at first, but Azura's visions tested everyone's faith. One by one, they left. Afraid to know their own future. But I refuse to abandon the shrine. The visions are a gift. Azura warns me of tragedy, war, death before it happens. I won't leave her guidance."
Keep in mind it's been 200 years anyway.
Plus you're assuming one that there cannot be on regular dunmer worshipping Azura or two the easier explanation that Bethesda are lazy fucks who didn't care about giving cosmetic differences to dunmer to make that distinction
And then Azura abandons her anyway
She makes it pretty clear she was part of the building, elves live well over 200 years.
>With the shit skill tree system
user, Morrowind had no skill trees at all and individual skills in general had far fewer abilities to unlock compared to the same ones in Skyrim.
If you're talking about specific skills that no longer exist then it's another issue. Having Skyrim skill trees adapted to the Morrowind skill would be far better.
sounds shit
I rather play Morrowind + Mods.
I prefer Morrowind dice roll combat and magic system over Skyrim.
Also, I have Tamriel rebuilt.
>user, Morrowind had no skill trees at all and individual skills in general had far fewer abilities to unlock compared to the same ones in Skyrim.
But most Skyrim tree perks are "use X 25% better" or "X is 25% more effective when doing Y" whereas in Morrowind it just became more effective as the stat increased
doesn't change the fact that its objectively boring, bland and generic
>And since Bethesda has no interest in making a Dunmeri language they did it themselves.
Here you go.
youtube.com
Lyrics, in Ald Chimeris:
Resdayniil kan tarcel
Ghardooni ye fevel
Arcta nu malatanya
Vengha ehlnada-dra
Nu nu vane metanane
Lyrics, in English:
Resdayn folk, dare resist
Invaders and weakness
We must face the truth of life
Venerate the god-ancestors
We chose for ourselves
I mean Azura basically kept her there solely because she needed her for the quest, that's my understanding at least
most of the others who would have been warned to leave wouldn't have just squatted at her shrine doing nothing, they presumably would have found other places to live in and probably a good amount eventually went back to morrowind by skyrim's time frame
>But most Skyrim tree perks are "use X 25% better" or "X is 25% more effective when doing Y
Some are like that but others unlock things like, shield bashing, charging with a shield, decapitations, stamina regeneration, quiet magic casting...not saying it was perfect but it had these things.
seconding this
>there are people right now with taste so shit they cant play 1st person games with diceroll combat
Absolutely disgusting tbqh.
Damagesponge Swingathon Skyrim/Oblivion combat < Diceroll Missalot
Sister?
>it's the same people making the same threads every day
At this point it's obvious this is just /mowg/ and should be sent to /vg/
They're never gonna finish it so who cares?
Or people simply save the image because it's a cool drawing of how dunmer look
Man how dare people talk about video games on a video game board, we need more e-celeb twitter screen caps and wojak edits
...
Excellent thinking, we need more space for Smash threads.
Azura's goddess of the realm of being a cunt, this isn't new
>buff
>fat
thats not how that works
they are qt
I'm worried this will be vaporware, but I'm hoping it won't be. I can handle Skyrim-but-set-in-Vvardenfell, because I'm not a little nostalgia baby.
youtube.com
Video begins at 19:00.
Quiet Magic casting is an unlock, but the others are all things that can happen without, just have odds increased.
What's an actual RPG with a true class system that isn't ancient? I tried to play Neverwinter Nights 2 but the camera was shit and the graphics hurt my shitty eyesight.
One thing I have a problem with in Skywind is if they are going to include death animations, because that will make early game Morrowind almost unplayable. Early game bandits are basically going to kill you for free and you'll be able to do nothing about it.
Imagine pulling up at the House of Earthly Delights in Suran afte a long day of adventuring to cuddle with a dunmer qt
openmw can't even support basic scripting, it's got a super long way to go before it ever hopes of even trying to replace the regular install. especially with mwse getting huge updates.
whoops quoted wrong post
Queen of the night is the best track in Skywind imo
No
t. one of the skywind leads.
>the entire soundtrack was posted 4 years ago
hahahaha
FUCK
You're not Trainautist, you don't have this kind of clout.
Yes, it's immediately annoying and sounds like wet shits.
That's not what we're doing at all on Skywind. I'm in charge of the perk trees and everyone agreed that Skyrim perks are fucking shit.
We'll have automatically added perks once you reach a certain skill level that deal with some of the perks that were in skyrim. The perks you select will be for different playstyles.
The ones marked in blue are approved for Skywind, the green ones are finished.
I liked this one, but not sure if we're gonna use it.
soundcloud.com
Why is Endurance Training blank?
Being redone as the last version wasn't satisfactory/consistent with the other skills auto-added perks.
My opinion doesn't matter. Skywind nor any of Beyond Skyrim will ever finish.
And no Bruma doesn't count
Fuck all these gay ass port mods. They will never be released and even if they do they will be on an already outdated engine and not as good as the original.
some more perks
They're never ever gonna release. Someone asked the Bruma team about Cyrodiil. They asked if they hypothetically were to release all they have now what would it be like. You know what was said
>You'd see and be able to do pretty much nothing outside Bruma
This was in 2018 too mind you.
Why remake morrowind in skyrim when you can remake skyrim in morrowind?
It's funny because Skyrim: Home of the Nords alone has more content than all of the Beyond Skyrim games combined.
morrowind icky yacky
no voiced dialings
cant dool weld
miss all attacks
medium armor lol
morrowind is boomer shit
Why the fuck did they start making this in the Reach and not Eastmarch? Eastmarch is closest to Morrowind.
Because the language isn't dunmiri, its daedric
And a lot of shit is based on aedra/daedra in terminology
Probably so they can collaborate once both projects have those areas done. Unlike Skyrim cross province quests is possible. Since on OpenMW it's all on the same worldspace.
[laughs in FREE as in FREEDOM multiplayer]
>once both projects have those areas done
Great, another 14 years.
That's optimistic.
Soul.
please don't start rebuilding it in TES6 when it launches around 2022 or so
>Nobody played Morroblivion
That's factually incorrect though.
>Nobody played Morroblivion
Well I started playing it (just got to Balmora) and it's bretty bad.
Vvardenfell, home.
I really need to visit Vvardenfell in ESO some day.
The Ghostfence is such a stupid fucking idea, I still can't get over it, Jesus Christ.
I genuinely love it.
It's comfy as fuck.
>I think basedwind's developers are delusional retards wasting time and effort on something nobody will actually play.
That goes for all total conversion mods this ambitious, senpai. At least they get to enact their autism and waste their own time and money without compromising anything or anyone else, unlike real devs who are handed the actual IPs and fuck everything up.
No, Morrowind's combat sucks ass. Literal *miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss* for 10 minutes. By comparison, Daggerfall actually did dice roll combat FLAWLESSLY. *miss**miss**hit**miss**CRITICAL HIT* instead. They dumbed down the combat for Morrowind (lol no more crits lol no more magic weapon requirements for ALL supernatural creatures lol being able to switch hands to punch open a locked door? HA GOOD ONE! etc. People have every right to shit on Morrowind's combat when it's literal watered down grade a bullshit with all the fun removed from it.
based voidposter
God I fucking hate Skyrim's HUD and UI so much. With all this tremendous work they're dumping into this project why keep so faithful to Skyrim's dogshit designs?
What the fuck, that actually looks really good for a mere mod.
The world definitely doesn't look like a shitty mess of clashing artstyles. Fucking Project Brazil.
Probably because it's Skywind, not Morrowind: Creation Engine Edition.
Thank God. I'm really happy with the way this project is going so far. Are there any plans for a pure Morrowind skill tree? I saw that journal navigation is the default and Skyrim style compass and marker nav is off by default, will there be a similar setup for combat and levelling?
Why? It was really only made to contain the monsters of Red Mountain
hey, you boys know of any good qt dunmer companion mods? I think I may have just been convinced to boot up the old 'Rim again with that single addition to my mod build.
Because it's a fucking fence. Cliff Racers, tunnels, and the goddamned ash storms meme on that stupid, humming forcefield all day long.
"Aranea Ienith" from "vanilla"
>missing the permanent black soul gem
????????????
Alter > Dunmer
I did totally forget about her, but I'm looking for companions m o d s, captain
>missing the eternal love for some fucking rock
????????????
>eternal love
>some dumb bitch that lives alone on a mountain
She's going to die of frostbite as soon as Azura is done with her, ie, as soon as the quest is done. Miss me with that gay shit, faglord.
>calm theme
booorrriiiiiing
No, this is the only plan we have for skills and perks. We can't add new skills, so we've combined some, but will separate by perk paths for some.
hey its me the user from further up the thread
do you have any qt dunmer companion mods
I hate Morrowind's combat. Its given me a new appreciation for Skyrim's mechanics.
Fuck anyone that defends Morrowind's combat. Its bad, and you should feel bad for enjoying it.
>not enjoying playing the numbers game to the point where you become invincible god that can leap across Vvardenvell in one jump.
It would be fine if Bethesda bothered to port over Daggerfall's combat. As it is, they decided to throw all of Daggerfall's combat mechanics out the windows and keep just the dice roll.
>numbers game
Do I look like a fuckin NERD to you?
Don't turn this into ... this. We can all live peacefully and exchange waifus while fighting the true enemy - al*mer.
You were a part of the chess club todd, you are a nerd.
>MORE FLOURISHES!
>MORE SUSTAINS!
>MORE EMBELLISHMENTS!
>PUT THEM EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!
What a fucking hackjob.
I bet /tesg/ has some on their site.
Chess is not for nerds.
You take that back right now.
Yes it is you nerd.
Tamriel Rebuilt desu.
that's a big mod
for you.
>Skyrim
>"mechanics"
lol
I'm close to certain morrowind had crits
What screencap?
>objectively good game-design is boomer shit
I have no problem with that
I bet you listen to classical music in public
>It uses a fan-made Dunmeri language for the vocals
top cringe
nobody cares about made up fantasy languages and every story with them is autistic garbage
the only time you should make up a fantasy language is if it actually affects the plot like elvish in lotr
I wish I could just fall asleep for 50 years and play completed tamriel rebuilt and project tamriel.
>cant dool weld
Actual issue desu. The more fighting styles the better.
how the fuck did a dwemer get on here
Morrowind has more weapon types in the first place
>muh numbers
As they say, less is more.
Indeed, you pay more for less.
based
>fantasy world building is cringe
God damn you're retarded
That's why they had ordinators and armigers going on patrols and raids. It was only recently in game time things got so bad they were unable to continue operations. Corpus beats are also their primary threat and they just lumber about. The fence help keep things contained and less of a chance an army of walkers and ash vampires and what else zerg rushes in any given direction.
>world building
yeah its cringe af fag
no one cares about your bork bork faggot fake language or the autistic map you doodled to rip off lotr for the 454545th time
I'm not even going to dignify you with a proper response. Get bent.
You must be one of those people without an internal voice, or without the ability to picture things in your mind.
baste
nigger
Imagine being this subhuman
How are you not already sick of that game? I doubt even a new custom qt dunmer bride would motivate me to actually play that game again.
look at this dude...
OH GOD, WHAT MOD IS THAT PLEASE TELL ME I WANT A BIG SNUSNELLA FOLLOWER/WIFE
Will Skywind have sex mods?
Tell that to Sotha "i have a third leg hidden beneath these robes" Sil, and why Mephala begs him to go balls deep and cum every day as part of their non aggression deal
Is that new ESO """lore"""
She literally melts all over you, and becomes a tsundere.
i hope that TES6 has her frozen in oblivion and we rescue her, and she has to re learn about all the changes over the 1000 years away from tamriel
It didn't, it was the maximum damage avaliable for the weapon in question + your Skill and Strength, it was all dice rolling shit with no crits.
Oblivion's combat was a godsend, and it spilled over Fo3 and NV with the custom movements ranger takedown + Ballistic Fist was KINO!, but bethesda ditched it in Skyrim because Sony's PS3 console was hot garbage.
I need to kiss you guys for this godsend work!
Any spear combat tease for SSE?
Who the fuck is that even
Because not even the community stands with the generated autism made by Tamriel rebuilt devs
I wish the Skywind devs all the best but nearly everyone supports TR.
>pic
Bijin's Aranea along with the entire package is the BEST one before fags cry, Vvardenfel Dunmer with royal blood like Barenziah and Karliah, or born with a huge magical affinity may develop special eyes, in Aranea's case she was blessed by azura since her birth and its Old enough to have seen the Nerevarine in Action, other eye colors like silver is uncommon, tough Fiery Red is predominant.
>is old enough to have seen the Nerevarine
>still looks like that
>It has the body of healthy middle age meale, though he's 4000 years old
>still fucks his clones
there is also veloth
big yikes
Divayth looks old in the traditional sense. This bitch looks like a fresh washed teenager.
Just make your own you chode it's not hard
So mod them then, there are plenty of face replacer mods for the NPCs in these games.
looks like an avarage animu waifu fapbait and doesn't even has any of the dark elf features except the eyebrows and chin
its really pathetic desu
Bros I can't decide if I like my Dunmer waifus with red or black hair more.
Honestly, there are better face replacers for Skyrim followers then that. Like this one for example: nexusmods.com
>>herp derp animu waifus
Yeah no fuck you. The vanilla characters all look like uggos on meth.
Neloth is Old as fuck, in Morrowind is stated that he's decrepit, but in Dragonborn he looks young and healthy as fuck, and in any sense, he looks like he's in his 30's or 40's so in Dragonborn, Mankar Camoran was also old as fuck in Oblivion but still looked "young".
Karliah is Old as fuck too, but she looks young when we meet her since she was Blessed by Nocturnal + Her Royal Bloodline with Barenziah.
Mercer Frey cheated death and Age by using the Skeleton key.
Magic can rejuvenate people in Elder Scrolls if you are magically gifted by normal means or born with it due to genes, or Blessed by a Daedric Prince or Divine.
it looks like Korean MMO characters + the all look 16 years old made for a Porn mod used by loverslab.
The best Serana replacement is always Serana and Claire for SSE.
Sorry was out for a bit. I think we had some spear combat in our latest video: youtube.com
they need to incorporate the morrowslow song somehow soundcloud.com
Fuck you.
>try MGE XE and MCP on a laptap
>6 frames per second on Seyda Neen
It's really not hard man, just look up a standalone follower tutorial on Youtube
When the fuck is this and Skyblivion coming out?
If its ever coming out that is.
Might need this:
nexusmods.com
If you used any of the MGE XE features like distant terrain, maybe want to turn them off or down so your potato can run it
Bodyslide >:^)
A character you cross paths with repeatedly in ESO and I think has a more important role in the morrowind expansion. Later on at one point she just shows up randomly while you're figuring out some conspiracy in some city and claims she's there on other business but decided to help you out when it's more likely she's been watching and keeping tabs on you
>implying Morrowind systems are better
I swear, just because you can make yourself comically overpowered makes you faggots praise that game.
Just fucking do it with console commands you retards.
Tried out Elders Scrolls online just now, after playing Morrowind on a binge for over 20 hours.
>tfw the combat in Morrowind is unironically superior in every way to whatever that garbage I just went trough was
MOMMY
Where can I get the skin bro...
The voice of the lead vocalist almost makes me weep, her voice is gorgeous.
reminder that du*Mer women are huge sluts
thats typical MMO combat for you
>spam abilities until you kill one guy, maybe 2-3
nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/70834
Never fucking again.
Thanks man.
It gets worse when you reach the end-game and your build is fucking useless unless you are DPS focused, I don't know how that shit game has a dedicated fanbase, you are good to have dropped it early
There is nothing wrong with customization, there is nothing wrong with more RPG features, Bethesda wants to streamline TES into a stupid theme park.
I hate to keep asking but the demoniac texture has the muscles+hair on the belly ?
Also, the dunmer didn't sound right
Imagine thinking Morrowind has better combat than any other game.
nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/78789
This for the belly hair, demoniac has the muscle
Its a good song, But did it really need the random ass noise and shouting halfway through? And they got rid of the heartbeat drum until the second half, the choir is nice but that random fucking "epic" bit in the middle that every goddamn modern orchestra song has to have for some reason just breaks the flow and makes the choir lose its impact
Not really in theme with Morrowind if you ask me. Dunmeri culture in general is very rough, it's all about pride and adaptation. Soft female vocal is not exactly good choice to portray it.
More fitting Summerset desu
At least it's not as bad as Heroes Orchestra where they ruin every single track with needless choir out of fucking nowhere
They sound ok, it's mostly the same VAs as in Skyrim.
Think of the poor VA that would have to record 5000 lines a day with raspy chain smoker voice
Can i get some sauce for that spoiler? Never heard of that
Thank you so much.
>Skywind
Someone post the screencap
I never understood MMO faggots. The gameplay is unresponisve "shot them with LED lights or hit them with NERF swords until the die" trash so gameplayfags arent gonna like it. The stories are ALWAYS steotypical "The ancient evil shall rise and yeet all across the land" swill that story-autists hate,
Who are they even made for?
Think of it as the wise women trying to sing Nerevar back to them. We all know how important sound is in TES.
Morrowind for the most part doesn't but it's at least slightly more interesting than most RPGs when it always comes down to out-dpsing your enemy, and mods help a lot. But like said it's still miles above the absolute mindless shitshow that is MMO combat
I thought about that too but it still doesn't fit right. It would need to be more tribal for that effect
If they existed they were rare as fuck as I never experienced them. In Daggerfall, despite having a shit character, I get crits like candy on halloween.
Morrowind may have more diseases, but they're all kiddie shit compared to what you can catch in Daggerfall. In Morrowind it's a "oh no my stats might go down" whereas in Daggerfall it's OH SHIT I JUST DIED FROM A DISEASE.
>tainting a flawless gem like Skyrim with a piece of boomer shit like Morrowind
for what purpose?
bump
how the fuck do you use mod organizer 2 with this game?
shattered glass isn't a "gem".
Neither of them are good and are only praised by people who A) haven't really played any of the ES games including Arena and Daggerfall and/or B) it was the first RPG game they played so they have nostalgia glasses for.
what the hell is this eq? zero bass, all treble. Like a horde of screeching alley cats.
>He never played Daggerfall
I don't blame you son, if anything I blame Bethesda for making shittier games since.
!!!!NOT CANON!!!!
THE REASON WHY NOBODY SPEAKS THEIR NATIVE TONGUE IN TAMRIEL IS BECAUSE
EMPEROR REMAN OF THE SECOND DYNASTY
HUNG AND EXECUTED EVERYONE WHO DID NOT LEARN TO SPEAK IMPERIAL IN A 2 YEAR SPAN.
Based
I sympathize
That's because they're genuine aliens. Time for a lore lesson.
So, to start, the Mer are not supposed to be in the current kalpa. They're survivors of the previous kalpa that Mehrunes Dagon, before Alduin literally retconned him into a batshit crazy cunt with powers eerily similar to CHIM. The Hist are the same, survivors of a previous kalpa that are not supposed to be in the current one. So the Mer, just coming off of watching a "fuck you" massive star dragon of pure magic destroy their world, give the first men the heads up about Alduin. The cosmic order is now fucked, because the wee mortals are not supposed to know about Alduin. Said wee mortals decide to get ahead of the curve and worship Alduin. Alduin, having possibly the most thankless job in creation, is caught off guard by this sudden gratitude and decides "fuck it, why not enjoy it?" Thus he abandons his duty as the World Eater. With the cosmos now doomed to stagnancy and decay, Akatosh creates the first Dragonborn known as Miraak to put Alduin back in line, who immediately tells Akatosh to go fuck himself.
Well shit, guess we gotta wait for that Last Dragonborn now. The idea of exterminating the Mer comes up, but Akatosh lets it go; they meant well and any mortal in their position would do the same, so he lets them be. Until the Ayleids anyway. When Akatosh finds out about the Ayleids enslaving men, that's his breaking point. This kalpa is the kalpa of men, the Mer had their time in the sun, and now they are actively suffocating the destiny of men. They have become an actively malignant tumor, and must be removed. To this end, he sends forth an elf-hating gay terminator from outside time to wipe out all Elves in all times. This doesn't work either.
The actual goal of the Thalmor, while it results in the destruction of this kalpa, is to undo Alduin's devouring of their kalpa. So yeah, that's why they look so alien and wrong. They're an anomaly that doesn't belong in this kalpa.
How would killing Alduin make him "take up" his role as World Eater again.
"And Alduin said: Ho, ha, ho"
In theory? Akatosh's plan is that by "killing" Alduin, TLD puts him back to sleep until it's time for him to do his duty, at which point he sobers the fuck up like Skyrim was just some drunken bender. There is merit to this as when it genuinely is showtime, Alduin takes his duties exceptionally seriously. His temper in Skyrim is just "mildly unamused" compared to the text you quoted. In truth if anyone found out what the Thalmor were really up to and tipped Alduin off during Skyrim, it's entirely possible he would've dropped everything to ho wipe them out. Fucking with the cycle is a major no-no.
In practice though? Well, Akatosh has called it wrong before. Alduin might just fuck off again. The only thing that might be an obstacle is once TLD dies, Akatosh is getting a major upgrade. As Dragonborn, you are a fragment of Aka, and so is every dragon you run into. As you go around killing dragons, you are slowly assembling the puzzle. Once TLD dies, Akatosh may usurp Alduin as the Firstborn of Aka, as Alduin's title as the Firstborn is more in reference to him being the largest fragment of Aka than actual birth order.
How would dismantling the towers in the current kalpa help them stop Alduin from eating their own? And why don't they make ANY mention at all about Alduin in Skyrim? All their dossiers ever touch on is "oh shit there's dragons".
My worry about Skywind is how much stuff they're redesigning visually. Some of it looks great, harkoning back to the original designs while doing something new, others look terrible and completely throw out the original for the sake of being 'different'.
The lead concept artist Nexos was a total dickhead who seemed to almost hate Morrowinds original aesthetic, and changed it whenever he could. I got into an argument with him in the Discord over the necromancer gear, which he decided to completely re-design, removing the skeletal motifs from the original game for the sake of not being generic, which un-ironically ended up making it look MORE generic. Pic related is the new Staff of Worms for Skywind, looks fucking stupid.
He also hated the guard armor from Morrowind, and chucked out this amazing concept art made for Skywind because the original design from Morrowind ripped-off the armor from the movie 'Gladiator': i.imgur.com
He's gone now, idk what happened but good riddance. The project looks do be doing great ever since his leave, looking more in line with the original game its fucking re-making.
Skywin's Orcish armor jumps out at me immediately, holy fuck it's bad.
ya think so? I actually think it looks great. A perfect blend of the original design, and a new take.
It actually looks functional and ceremonial, unlike Skyrims which is godawful in comparison.
Honestly, I think there are two possible answers to that. The first is they don't think it's Alduin. This is fair, the Alduin the Mer know was so massive that farmhouses casually fell out of his nostrils and shat magic. By all accounts, the black dragon that hit Helgen simply does not line up with the Alduin they know, so therefore, it cannot be Alduin. So to them crisis averted, phew.
The other possible answer is that the Thalmor don't fully grasp what they're dealing with here. They "know" but they don't "understand." The reason they despise the Psijic Order so much is because the Psijics are able to freely project magical middle fingers and the Thalmor can't do anything about it, and the Thalmor have shown time and again that they really overestimate their own capabilities. They "know" they have to deal with Alduin once they restore their kalpa, but don't "understand" that Alduin at the height of his fury is so terrible that even Sithis made it a point to be far, far away when Dagon got caught with his pants down. Because the simple truth is; you are correct. If the Thalmor succeed, all that will happen is Alduin will be beyond livid and wipe them out. But it will still be the end of the kalpa of men.
I actually like the lorica segmantata though.
How does it feel to have such absolutely shit taste?
The new design is pic related, which is still great but doesn't really evoke the original, and the leather version is quite bad (not in pic).
The Lorica Segmantata armor from dev videos/streams isn't gonna be in the final game, its just a placeholder.
I think it looks bad because it looks absolutely nothing like the original. I also dislike the red highlights on it.
But I like the original armor?
Well thats not entirely true, alot of the shapes and motifs are kept from the original, basically presenting the original idea in a new light. Its a great design.
That could go for literally any wall. Just because a defence can be overcome doesn't mean it's not worth it.
Why is OpenMW missing like 90% of the shit you can do in MCP?
>Finally try it.
>Sail to old Ebonheart
>Looks exactly like new Ebonheart.
>Lags like shit
>Houses are all crowded together in a way that doesn't feel natural or fit with the aesthetic of all the towns in Vvardenfell.
Honestly really disappointing, it's taken them so long I figured it might be more polished, but it just feels like a half-baked mod.
No idea.
skyrim's soundtrack is the pinnacle of gaming music, regardless of your (incorrect) opinion of the main theme
This is the best version of Morrowind theme in my opinion.
