Please help I have played this game hundreds, possibly thousands of times. I need something like it. Tomb Raider just isn't the same...

video games are for children OP time to grow up

help. Why does no other game feel as fun and good-feeling but easy as this?

beat this game a few days ago without having played it for over 10 years, and it is indeed a great game albeit easy and short, closest i can think is sm64 about the fluid gameplay and the level/goal structure, which is possibly where it copied it from, most other platformers are similar but with tank controls

Maybe try Psychnauts
Or if you are really into tank controls Croc 1&2

great game, shame i can beat it in like under 2 hours
i also played through it at least a dozen times OP but its pretty easy and quick so i dont really count it.
anyway what you're looking for are other good 3D platformers. but there aren't many "adult" versions of said games.
Definitely give Psychonauts a try though. Only thing I can REALLY think of except maybe rayman 2.. Ignore the memes and hype it has and just pirate it and go in blind.
I wouldn't include things like Jet Grind Radio / Jet Set Radio Future but they do have a lot of platforming technically and you might like them but again it's getting too far from the original point.
Army Men games, some played like that. Or that toy commander game.
You might enjoy mario odyssey or a hat in time, but they don't have the same charm, so I'd aim for other things of that era - perhaps spyro, banjo kazooie / tooie, dk64 (maybe), etc.
ape escape maybe. gex.
jak 3 maybe.
dare i suggest sonic adventure.
prince of persia? sly cooper?
idk man. its not the same.
maybe just go play toy story 1 on genesis but beware, its fucking hard.

I can beat it like that too now. But I gave it to a 7 year old a few weeks ago for the first time and watched him play it and he struggled and took like 2 hours to do just 1 level. I kind of wanted that feeling back because I loved it as a kid.
Anyway I will check out the games you suggested, especially Psychonauts. Thank you.

I really appreciate all the suggestions. I'll save this thread and play the ones you all suggested.

american mcgee's alice / alice madness returns

>I kind of wanted that feeling back because I loved it as a kid.
have you tried the lego games? like lego harry potter and lego batman and shit like that? might work.
bionicle maybe :x

FFX-2 has a lot of minigames that remind me of the levels in this game.
too bad FFX-2 fucking sucks
but here's a minigame where you're in a moogle suit and give out balloons

I have not tried them. I'll try getting those as well.
Oh yeah I heard those games are crazy weird and worth playing. thanks.

Jet Force Gemini
It's even already on N64 and you clearly already have one.

kek this cant be serious some toy story shit on my Yea Forums?
this but unironically
play only mature games for mature gamers like the witcher 3 and grand theft auto 5

I played it recently to see if it was just nostalgia as to the reason why I liked it so much but no it holds up pretty well still, it's a god damned good game and a hidden gem.

There's an indie 3D platformer game coming out sometime in the future called Clive n Wrench that has a level inspired by this game
youtube.com/watch?v=tKYv6FQAFWg

played it through again last week also, loved it, still holds up. last 2 levels are pretty weak though, they definitely put the best levels at the start

it's a decent game you stupid nigger zoomer.

Earthworm Jim 3D

Just gonna summarize what I think of some of the other Disney Action Games that came out back then:
Tarzan is just repetitive, easy 3D side-scrolling, Emperor's New Groove is just kind of dull and also repetitive, Dinosaur is just terrible, Aladdin seemed okay, Monster's Inc Scare Island is extremely boring because you repeat the exact same actions so much and the levels are stupidly short. I know I missed some but those were the main ones I played as a little kid. A Bug's Life wasn't that bad and even though I got it working in Windows 10 the level design is still awful compared to Toy Story 2's open levels. Toy Story 2 is the only one I can still enjoy though.

This looks alright. I'll wait for the final release.

you forgot hercules on PS1 another hidden gem classic that gets somewhat difficult towards the end, that holds up even better than toy story 2 does imo.

hercules is great, i loved a bugs life but going back to it it isn't as polished as i remember. mickey's wild adventure is great but very hard,

Same I'm interested, especially since it doesn't look like shit.

I think getting 100% in that game is legit impossible without a guide, missing even the tiniest thing fucks you.
Your "moogle" is a great example of this

if you prefer sidescrollers i guess but i have a fetish for ps1 3d games so toy story is just gorgeous, i did love hercules though, i remember the pegasus level being tough, and one where athens is like falling apart and you have to dodge falling columns or something

Lilo and Stitch: Trouble in paradise is pretty good, and the Jungle Book rhythm game is a decent DDR-like.

The temple run-esque parts are really fun and I thought the hades running level was the hardest imo I wasted so much time as a child trying to get through it.

I didn't even know they made a Lilo and Stitch game.

Probably for the best. The guy you're responding to is one of the 10 people who actually enjoyed it.

There was also the Lion King game called Simba's Mighty Adventure. I recall loving it growing up, but I recently revisited it and it just doesn't hold up.

A Bugs Life was mostly pretty good, but it definitely has some clunkiness and some real shit levels. I played the hell out of it as a kid though.
I remember liking Scare Island, but in retrospect I remember it being creepily empty and lifeless.
And there's also Lion King SNES, which is obviously the GOAT.

shit, this was my first ever pc game, the level design was amazing, shame i never played another 3d platformer after that

The music had soul

>creepily empty and lifeless
Exactly. Something is weirdly dead about it. But really pressing the same 4 letters over and over again to "scare" the robots is just painfully tedious.

It's because aside from the robots you have to scare, the worlds are literally empty aside from the occasional enemy, and even those are just said to be toys.

FUCK I'M BEING TAKEN BACK NIGGER HOLD ME

NEED SOME COINS HERE BUZZ

i love the alleyway level with the rain, such good music and comfy atmosphere
