You really like Shimomura?

I really wish they would have delved more into sexual awakening with All Grown Up! What a wasted opportunity.

>piano and violin
Fucking pleb tier. Flute is where it's at.

>OST has bagpipes in it

>praising generic orchestra japanese shit

I guess it makes sense.

I call that kind of music "dramatic anime violins" because it's so generic and lame.

>victini's theme goes from fast to slow to fast to slow
That was kinda cool

Please post an OST you like

Whatever fits the game, successfully provides atmosphere and, most of all, is memorable.
Could be 8bit from Megaman for NES to the technorock from Metal Gear Rising. Xenoblade Chronicles has good classical music, unlike the usual dramatic anime violins.

I asked for examples

Not even him but do you realize how bad your taste is? That's some of the worst music in gaming

Dark Souls 3 has good music, prove me wrong.

What game?

I would love you Angelica

everything's forgettable besides the soul of cinder

>entire ost is 90s/early 00s electronica

Chello > Violin

>The entire OST has an orchestra
>With rock guitars

You sound like an insufferable cunt.

>boss fight has saxophone in it
Pic related

What are JRPGs?

Abyss watchers, gael, midir, champion gundyr, dragon slayer armour, and aldritch had great to S teir music. Everything else is forgettable though ill give you that

>The horn section in Vaal Hazaak's theme from MHW
AAAAAAAAA!!1!!!!11!!!!!

>Boss battle OST has Latin chanting

>final boss battle OST is mournful and sombre while the OST for every other boss fight was a completely different tone
I'm a huge fucking sucker for games where the final boss is connected to the main character as a friend, mentor, family member, etc.

I know it's generic as fuck but it fucking gets me every time.

The Angelica virgin
vs the chad Helga

Thanks doc

The Yu-Gi-Oh spoof episodes were kino.

Vaal had such a good track for such an annoying monster. I spent more time chasing him than fighting him until he hit Arch-tempered

>final boss is the character you played as
>you have to play as the rival character you consistently beat the shit out of to win
>the real final boss comes after and you have to switch between both of the characters to win

My favorites

Dark Souls III:
Slave Knight Gael
Soul of Cinder
Abyss Watchers

Ratchet and Clank:
Captain Qwark (Gemlik Moon Base)
Arena Boss Battle (UYA, what a rush)
Dr. Nefarious

Kingdom Hearts II?

Much better than your generic orchestra shit

>Final boss turns into his final form.
>YOUR theme starts playing

Attached: oh snap.jpg (759x759, 54K)

Ratchet and Clank had a god tier OST no matter what way you look at it.
I miss that era when you could just pick up random composers and let them do their thing and make an amazing OST.

>Penultimate/false final boss has a better theme than the actual final boss
>Everyone clings to the final boss theme because it's the final boss fight
FF7, Rogue Galaxy and No More Heroes all come to mind.

Final Fantasy : Crystal Chronicles, second to last boss.

Well I can tell you boys that total war warhammer and warhammer 2 have the worst soundtracks ive ever heard. After 600 hours between the two i think music has been off since the 3 or 4th hour in.

>Generic drums and synth
Wow how original

I'm sick of how many tracks use violins for high range noise. Wish we get more horns in boss battles

>Character who did literally nothing but be a lazy jerkoff the entire game
>Final boss
>He's ruthless
SAY HIS NAME

Fresh from the new raid of FF14. Fucking amazing remix of the FF8 theme

Lazy but insanely powerful is my absolute favorite troupe

I damn near fell asleep. It’s not a bad song but it’s definitely not a good boss battle theme let alone a final boss theme. Also..
>complains about orchestra shit
>posts orchestra shit but with dubstep!

Who would have guessed your taste in music wasn't any better?

>Final Boss is your rival
>When you get to know him, you realize you were the "bad guy" all along
>If rival kills you, you get to play the true final boss and dungeon as him with your and his powers combined.

Name one game

>orchestral arrange is super loud with drums constantly going, violins blaring, etc and makes no use of the dynamic range or breadth of instruments in the orchestra
Sick of this shit. I went to see the World of Tres concert and the arrangements were so bombastic that you couldn't hear half the pit.

I’m glad you agree, R&C tracks will always have a place in my heart. An overlooked gem, nothing comes close nowadays

lol

I’m STILL waiting for another primal’s theme to top this

>the first stage track is the best track

Name 27 games

what game?

I used to like Distant Worlds, but as I got older the trashiness of the arrangements became apparent. Everything had to swell to full orchestra for some big conclusion, instead of respecting the tone of the original song.

Halo

Seems like this is the case in every single racing game I can think of.

HADES

It's a shame. I found III' s soundtrack in general did this a lot when adapting old songs. The KH World Tour concert last year was good though.

Not him but Metal Gear Rising is amazing and well loved, fuck you.

Violins and cellos are my heaven in life.
