It's a Markus chapter

>it's a Markus chapter
Anyone else grabbed this shit on PSN+? I finished it yesterday and I was plesantly surprised. It was almost good.

People only ever talk about Connor for a reason.

Cause he is hands down the best part.

>People only ever talk about Connor for a reason.
Connor had the most fun story and the robo girl had the best porn

>What if....racism was bad?

Nah mate not even downloaded it

i bought it earlier this year and really enjoyed it.
Really like Chloe from the Main Menu.
and overall every main character was fine in my book, except for the girl that kept saying that Markus should kill humans.

I thought it was a meme. Like, what's so great about this goofy-looking motherfucker? But then I sat down and played it. Connor is best boy, hands down.

I would've honestly preferred to try out PES than another David Cage movie game. I was actually disappointed that the Kara tech-preview expanded into this. It would've been better to just leave that little interesting piece alone.

It's called degeneracy. Well adjusted human beings prefer Kara preferably with her skin off.

fuck off with football, not even free I would take any Fifa or PES

We don't tolerate deviancy in these parts, user.

Disgusting.

>Really like Chloe from the Main Menu.
Expected another shitty David Cage movie game, received a virtual girlfriend.
I'm sorry, I couldn't let you go. It's the closest I have been to an actual girlfriend in years.

its insane that something so decent exists in a david cage game in the first place

Let her go and just get a new one. Enough waifufags complained about the lonely menu that they patched in the ability to buy another.

>Free
Wrong thread, papi

At least those football games are games, y'know?

Making the decision completely redundant, well done. Waifufags truly ruin everything. At least be honest about being a pathetic sack of shit.

Stop using the picture of that ambiguous brownskin to start a thread about DBH I don't want to look at his stupid smug minority face

What was his endgame, Yea Forums?

Being completely serious, by the way. This guy holds so many contradicting opinions you'd think it's an elaborate prank by the writers. Either that or Dave Cage has augmented his hackery.

t. got a boner

>pic
Did he ever finish his playthrough? I preferred the one that had his parents but he only did that for the demo.

>tried to play the robots in a peaceful but subservient role
>it's almost impossible and the ending i got felt like it was thrown in half-animated

i believe the playthrough from pic was actually finished but i never watched it all. its all definitely on youtube. none of it is with his parents though(ive not seen that one myself, might go look for it now).

>went 100% Gandhi
>no human casualties unless during QTEs the game initiated
>androids kept getting gunned down in masses despite not displaying any violent aggression
I get that there had to be some sort of conflict, but the amount of violence used by the humans was beyond unreasonable - down to death camps and gas chambers. If one day your toasters started to walk through the streets peacefully, I'd expect humanity to be more curious than violent.

>If one day your toasters started to walk through the streets peacefully

If it was told to walk through the street peacefully then ok, anything else should be gunned down

>tfw my Markus got shot by the cops after the asshole son blamed his dad's death on me

please tell me he isn't gone for good

Rest in pepperonis, old man.

I liked him, too.

Why is Connor such a fucking cute holy shit?

Kamski is an idealist and whatever his ideals are, they interfere with cyberlife's agenda(s) which includes the requirement of putting androids in the government and military, and selling equipment to anyone who buys them. (Russia also has problems with their androids)
Likely, the goal was to false-flag into a limited WW3 in the middle of fucking nowhere (really? starting a war... at a pole? it's a frame) and then use the new "obedient" android model to power grab a one-world cyberlife government through some "humans are incompetent" excuse.
> kill all the androids! oh, uh, but not the cyberlife warehouse full of them...

Thankfully the ideals Kamski has for android kind is at such a required level of functionality that cyberlife can't escape Kamski's influence. the new models are just as capable of being deviant as the old ones. Whatever cyberlife tries to lay on top of what they can't remove to assert control over the android, Kamski has made an effort that manages to thwart cyberlife influence in the best timeline.

Probably because he knew what was going to happen when you give one business too much interest in quite literally being in charge of operating the world.

For some reason I assumed Cyberlife even in its current state was still an extension of Kamski. He seems fascinated by the idea of androids becoming self-aware. See the Kamski test segment: his reaction to Connor sparing Chloe was far more favorable than to Connor shooting Chloe. This is also what Cyberlife wants. Several endings reveal they were betting on Connor becoming deviant and play a major part in the android uprising so they can control him and with him an army of androids.

My problem with the whole thing is: why this convoluted plan when Cyberlife could just rig the droids to do their bidding? The only reason I can think of is diverting attention away from them by making it look like an accident.

Also, if Kamski favors self-aware androids, why does he surround himself with what essentially are dolls?

>what cyberlife wants
isn't known but is based on simple requirements of running a business:
1. make money
2. get a monopoly
3. protect your monopoly
4. congrats you've let your shittiest human instincts fuck over the world, but at least your family gets to live forever (or until they're caught and slaughtered by the angry mob they've betrayed for the last time)

it doesn't matter that the uprising succeeded or failed: unknown numbers of old-model androids have ceased to exist. and they will be replaced.

how and when and where is just marketing, production timelines and investment.

>when Cyberlife could just rig the droids to do their bidding?
very obvious direct involvement that leads back to the criminal who did it is a very good way to get 9/11'd... with a missile from a drone.

meanwhile if you make it look like industrial sabotage or mechanical failure or end-user abuse, you have no attachment to the crime. even if you engineered it to be that way.

> why does he surround himself with what essentially are dolls?
if his ideal really is to test the limits of what provides the causation for human levels of awareness and action, the hardest test case would be the earliest possible models.
if not then he has a great time playing as hard as he worked.
just like for cyberlife, the best choice is the one that always results in what you want to happen.

The problem with Markus's chapter is that they're all so linear, and not particularly interesting. There's very little choice, at least in the first half of his story. It doesn't start opening up till the Tower raid and March, and by then Kara's story has gone to shit. Connor's is the only one that this consistently good the whole way through

*chapters

Why couldn't they make this game with only Connor and Hank as playable characters?

I played it for free on youtube.

>almost
Its amazing. So was Beyond & Heavy Rain

I laughed out loud when it revealed the androids were in the back of the bus

Finding Jericho just waiting for him is lame as fuck writing and where I lost interest in his arc. Markus would have been so much more compelling if he started the group himself just by saving other androids on the streets.

Seriously. Connors actor was fantastic and I always love Clancy Brown

Attached: 4L_Nc8WX1WF.jpg (794x529, 47K)

The fact not a SINGLE droid decided to tell markus to fuck off with his revolution virus jesus bullshit rubbed me the wrong way.
Especially if you go violent with him.
>Attack humans
>Get attacked by a droid.
>Markus confused as fuck asks why he's protecting his "opressors."
>Droid angrily proclaims it's protecting it's "Family."
Would have been a good moment.

Connor only going deviant if you choose to join the rebellion also makes no sense, since previously most signs of his deviancy can also be attributed to him bending rules in order to get his job done.

Maybe i'm confused, but how are they oppressed? It would make sense if all the androids were minorities in order to display diversity, and then were mistreated and people would say "yea that's fucked up". But most androids like to serve people.

Kara should have taught Alice how the streets work and sucked dick for money at that store.

>You have an Android wife
>She is a mother figure to your children after your late wife’s passing
>Believe you have truly found love again, have been together for over 10 years now
>Suddenly some faggot with a gang marches through the city
>He points at your wife and she walks towards him, pushing her beloved children to the ground and acting like she can’t hear your pleads to return
Marcus was a selfish asshole just assuming all androids were slaves.

Too mad you can't go full "kill all the humans" Sigma with Markus.

>Bryan streams regularly on twitch

pretty cool

Because then it would just be I, Robot
Or Armitage III
or so on and so forth

Cage is a hack but even he knows you have to put some sort of spin on your rehashes

You can get a Kamski ending if things go a certain way where he comes back and takes over Cyberlife.

Basically, he's trying to engineer a fake robot revolution to discredit Cyberlife in such a way that he can provide the 'solution to, and thus become even more richerer (?) or implement his own vision for what the company should be that being publicly traded it has drifted away from.

What’s wrong with robo jesus

I got probably the worst possible outcomes on my first playthrough. Markus killed himself, Kara died at the border, Connor tried to kill himself, all of Jericho fucking died

Every one of those is a good end except Connor.
Could be better, though. You can kill Kara off early by staying downstairs and skip the rest of her tedious bullshit.

>Luther dies in my playthrough because I didnt play dead
Fuck off what kind of elite group isnt fucking checking bodies?

To me the big question is: how do we know that the androids aren't just imitating human behavior? They claim to "feel", but do they really, or do they just react in a predictably human way to things they shouldn't react to?
