Finally.
I can mix green and purple together.
Can't wait for them to drift
I would unironically buy the purple and orange joycons, if I didn't already have 2 pairs of joycons due to the ones bundled with Mario Party.
Also, I'd like it if they made ones with a dpad.
Or symmetrical sticks.
Or I don't know, future proofed sticks that won't drift.
Or all the above.
But those are the best colours hands down.
>Le dift meme
yawwwwwwwwnnn
I'll buy a second pair of joicons when they fix the dpad.
I thought it was a meme and Yea Forums was being Yea Forums as usual, but now that I tried to play Mario Maker, holy shit it's bad, very bad.
I gave up and now play with the joystick.
A new switch model got announced
Black and Yellow incoming
That's good to hear, especially the Neon Purple and Neon Orange. Although I'm surprised it took them so long to announce some colours that weren't tied to a special edition Switch.
Kinda wish Blue was bundled alongside another colour though, considering how widespread Neon Yellow's distribution is. Maybe Neon Pink (R) or Neon Green (L), since those never saw release outside of Japan beyond the Splatoon 2 Switch.
That was my first thought. Now I can reliably get my daily dose
so uhhh why didn't they give the lite (you know, the one built for handheld mode?) the better battery?
Only faggots use two left joycons.
I will never not associate these colours with crash and spyro
My neon green joycon is the right one since I'm not a huge cunt
The better batteries might not allow them to cut down to $200
Probably the same components for efficiency, but the reduced form factor only allowed for a samller battery
I can't read this shit
is this sarcasm?
I like the setup of the joycons but yeah the drift issue needs to be dealt with.
Wow so the rumoured revision was correct.
This uses the Lites new ram which apparently operated at lower voltages so bigger battery life. Also will have a better CPU and possibly more storage too.
No it's common sense
I’m tempted to get these because my high school colors were purple and gold and this looks close enough
Considering all the cut features from the lite, it seems like it was made to make as much money as possible. They might have a high target margin
>The new joycon colors match Wario's overalls.
Does that mean a new Wario game for the Switch?
What are the odds of people breaking their joycons by applying too much pressure on them?
It reminds me how the original 3DS screen would get scratched if you slam it shut like a retard.
Mine never got scratched without any screen protectors and likewise all my day 1 joycons are still fine.
It means it got cancelled and they need to repurpose all the joycons that were meant for bundles.
cuz uh you know uh its smaller
Confirmed for Smash
there was that warioware leak, everything else in the leak came true at E3 besides warioware.
OOF
The thing is, drifting is also an issue on other controllers. Even the highly regarded xb360 controller also had this issue. While I do believe the issue might be a bit overblown, I don't doubt a significant amount of people are indeed experiencing it on their Joycons.
OHHH MY GOOOOOD NEW COLORS FOR MY ONIONS BASED NINTENDO PRODUCTS YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSS
THIS IS BETTER THAN THE NEW STAR WARS MOVIE IM LITERALLY SHAKING YEEEESS LOOK ITS A NEW COLOR IM CRYING IM GOING TO CALL TYRONE TO GET THESE FOR ME
I'm just curious whether I'm lucky or it's as simple as not mishandling your peripherals.
I got drift on mine but a little electronic contact cleaner solved it. It's not as big a deal as people make it out to be.
Reddit is just hypercritical of nintendo at the moment because of pokemon autism and unfortunately a lot of the kids that post there post here too
what contact cleaner do you use?
This but ironically
I imagine it's a mix. I take care of mine and still got a bit of drift
My 3 kid nephews, ages 5 through 8, all have had drifting issues. I have a feeling a combination of playing with dirty sticky fingers and food/dirt crumbs is causing their drift issues. I've taken them apart and cleaned out the joycon and that fixes it.
I wish they would sell two purples. That's the exact kingly, royal purple that I've been wanting.
Drifting issue is universally the same. Particles of some sort has gotten inside. It really can't be completely prevented as it's a matter of how long you can use the controller for before it becomes a chronic issue. Of course, most other console had alleviated this issue by having players own two controllers since it's needed for local multiplayer, and reduced battery life. From that, they don't play marathon sessions as much and they have a backup controller to switch to when the 1st controller starts drifting.
this
fuck you nintendo
It's also a trend right now, so there is a lot of bandwagoning with people wanting to be part of a "movement."
>Major issues with drift
>"Hey gaylords how about some new fruity colors"
Jokes aside, I like the new colors and would pick some up, but drift should be a priority. Talk about awful fucking optics. Course making in Mario Maker in handheld mode is infuriating for me.
>meme
Nice try, shill.
Fuck off shill. Mine drifted after like a year of light usage. I don't even use my Switch that much.
no european release date?
The thing is designed for both portability and for children. If that’s the case, then lack of durability is a serious issue
Thnx doc
Thinking about Orange and Pink. I'm not sure how it would look in practice, or which sides to get.
I might just wait until I feel comfortable getting two sets.
