I really enjoyed the Umbrella Chronicles and the Darkside Chronicles.
It was a good spin on the classic games that used the wiimote pretty effectively.

No it wasn't. Wii sucked. Dolphin is fine though and I played the 5 or so games I had interest in. Muramasa was fantastic. The fire emblem game was good too. Xenoblade was ok, but a far cry from Xenogears.

Remade every model for returning monsters
Fixed hitboxes
Increased monster aggression and added monsters that were faster in general.
Added new status effects
Fixed the UI and gave weapons their own categories in the forge instead of lumping two types together along with other QoL changes like not needing to select a pick axe or a net to use it.

Do yourself a favour and play FU, Tri, P3rd and World back to back and you'll see what I mean.

Any aggression increase was outbalanced by over generous hitboxes and exhaustion.
The QOL shit was fine.
Removing weapons was unforgivable and swimming was a mistake.

World did all that shit too and managed to not have like 10 monsters and no weapons.

I try new shit all the time. If I've disliked the last 5 mario games I've tried why would I keep wasting my time?

Give it a second chance, preferably on the hardest difficult level where regenerating health is disabled and you suddenly have to make use of the stealth elements and alternate routes.

The remake admittedly makes a horrible first impression but some of the later levels are great. The remake's version of statue park, jungle, and especially cradle are way cooler than the n64 versions.

Last good home console. Wii U was throwing everything good about Wii away, and Switch is okay as a 3DS successor, and absolute shit as home console.
Fucking wish VR used Wii Balance board for anything.

I've been playing through this lately and it's been pretty cool. It uses motion controls in a smart way and I'm surprised it never comes up when defending the wiimote as more than just waggle.
