I'm looking for a video game that takes almost no input from me, or just almost no effort/energy, but very atmospheric or "story driven" or immersive or whatever
I just wanna feel good and be kind of entertained but not literally watch a movie
only really need to play as one character, your party members will auto-attack, you will auto-attack if you don't select specific maneuvers/spells. the longer you'll play, you'll also unlock "gambits" which are like AI directions, both for your own character as well as party members. An example of a gambit is like "if (PT Member HP) < 50: Cast Cure" or "if (pt member poisoned) : use potion". There's a TAN of different gambit command conditions that can be purchased and unlocked, and with enough setup of them the game will basically play itself.

I think this would be a good option for you. Meets all the requirements you have listed with an excellent soundtrack to boot .
If you like it you can pick up the two free holiday themed mini episodes before you play the sequel
Watch Bandersnatch, it's an interactive movie with multiple endings.
Jordan Garcia
Play Steins;Gate. It's the best VN and is as linear as you're asking for. Though you'll have to suffer before you get to anything 'feel good' but the catharsis feels great.
OP just watch twitch or let's plays or walkthroughs. They're far more entertaining and mentally engaging.
