>want to play every last game in a series by either numbered order or release dates >Some games in that series are in japanese >cant bring myself to even start a series if I cant play those untranslated games
where is this bitch from by the way, I keep seeing here but I just dont know the source
Robert Wright
dekinai chan
she reminds you that you cannot learn japanese until you are fluent.
I could be wrong but im pretty sure she comes from a textbook with the title "You cant learn Japanese alone!" but someone took out the last part for the meme.
Oliver Rodriguez
>learn a foreign language >to play a fucking video game are you retarded or what
Bentley Kelly
All of the lies I tell myself to keep sane are being shattered in front of me one by one and I'm scared.

for porn
Evan Sanchez
Depending what you mean by that, the knowledge you need for porn is minimal. Few months at best.
Gabriel Torres
>he doesn't exclusively play Japanese games Enjoy your cucked translations and censorship
>meeting/dating cute Japanese girls It's pretty much a requirement if you live in Japan.
Jaxon Williams
Nah, I'm not that good with English but I'm dating a Japanese girl, it's pretty convenient having her as a guide when I visit there especially when we visit bars or restaurants. I always laugh when they charge the other foreigners extra just for a table or tell the tattooed tumblr bitches to fuck off but they treat me nicely because I'm with a Jap
Juan Thompson
Oops, I meant to say I'm not good with Japanese But honestly, if the worker at 7/11 is a woman she's gonna be really polite and try to help you the guys don't care to put in extra effort to help a dumb foreigner
Matthew Rivera
I'm just speaking from experience. It's difficult to build meaningful connections with people without knowing the language, and my "game" has always been mostly verbal. The hottest Japanese girls pretty much ONLY speak Japanese, and that's it. Like, they're happy to talk to you, and even exchange LINE but the conversation quickly becomes awkward when you realize there's very little you can actually talk about when you've got a language barrier.
That said, it's a lot easier to learn the language when you live in the native country.
Michael Hill
its a solid reason.
personally im learning because it opens up a whole new world. I went to japan being very basic sentences and it was actually really fun communicating. Locals actually understood my shit pronunciation and all. I hate gushing over japan because I sound like a weeb but that place is a fuckton of fun, I love it.
Nolan Walker
I have no idea, I never really spoke to anyone there especially not girls because I was always with her but I never spoke in English with anyone in Japan, even using broken Japanese is better than English
Chase Cox
No shame in gushing over Japan, the country is legit amazing.
The only people who trash it are contrarian hipsters with a sour grapes syndrome, or people who went there, and were expecting to become chads without realizing that Japanese girls do have standards, and no one wants to date a fat smelly weeb. Also, brown people and niggers, the Japs are a bit racist.
Ryder Reyes
They always appreciate the effort, and them seeing how much you try despite your Japanese being bad, makes them feel less self-conscious about their bad English.
Camden Watson
>fat smelly dweebs Oh man, Akihabara is full of these neckbeards digging through bins of Super Famicom carts. Akihabara honestly is way overrated it's cool for sight seeing and maybe picking up something specific that's hard to find but if you're just picking up Super Mario World, you're getting ripped off >Japs are a bit racist I remember when I was going up the sky tree, security has to check your bags before you go up but he waves me by, I say to him it's okay? He says it's okay go. I look behind me and he stops the huge Indian family and checks their bags, I thought it was pretty funny. But in Tokyo if you're white you won't stand out, nobody cares if you're a foreigner if you're dark skinned they might move away from you, but out in the countryside I always heard people mention the gaijin whenever I walked by them, it's pretty funny I felt like a celebrity Most young Japanese know English, they just think because they have an accent it means they can't speak it
Brody Flores
I probably went to the wrong shops but a lot of akihabara carts were super over priced. A lot of that place seems like a tourist trap desu
When I was in tokyo I felt like a celebrity. I kept getting stares/glances and people turning their head to me. Maybe it was the group I was with because two guys were above 6 feet tall.
Eli Cruz
I'm learning jap just to be able to read untranslated games, VNs and doujins. I'm about to start kanji and I hear it's pain and suffering but I'm still having fun learning.
>"I'm about to start kanji" so you haven't started learning japanese yet it's fucking torture but don't give up user
Joseph Gray
Prices in Akihabara for loose carts were easily double, or triple the prices I paid for CIB games in the countryside Pokémon Yellow ¥500 Pokémon Gold ¥500 Tekken 1, 2, 3 ¥100 each Dragon Quest V, VI ¥500 each Virtua Fighter 2, 3 ¥100 each These are my cheapest ones, other games were what you'd expect Super Mario Collection ¥1500 StarFox ¥900 Phantasy Star III and IV ¥900 each Mother 2 ¥1,500 It's really ridiculous how cheap games can get over there No way, Kanji is really easy compared to Hiragana only. Once you start learning it you'll love it
Jeremiah Reyes
moher 2 for 15 dollerydoos? i would have snagged that in a hearbeat.
the carts i saw were no where near that price.
Jaxson Russell
>see some katakana >spend a while rereading them outloud to see if it could be from an english word >turns out it's just a kanji they were too lazy to write I always feel like a complete retard when that happens
You need to go outside Tokyo. At least a half hour into the countryside. The best shops are stand alone BookOffs, They usually have a decent selection, if you're looking for carts only there's literal plastic bins full of N64 and Super Famicom games, over a hundred carts even in my girlfriends tiny suburban town with 30,000 people, it's really a gamers paradise in Japan it's just unbelievable how much they have. It's not that hard, you can memorize 500 Pokemon so you can easily memorize 500 kanji that's already a quarter of the words you need
