which game for the switch? super mario maker is awesome

Wait to see if they have the same issues as all of their other SNES controller models.
And then get the M30.

The new 8bitDo controllers

Attached: A89FA731-6DBA-49CC-9754-0F3FDAC4FDEE.jpg (2047x1366, 841K)

I like the way the game boy one looks but I'm worried that d-pad won't be as comfortable as the regular one

Which issues?

Wait for sale or don't bother

Wulff Den says it’s the best “D-pad controller” for the switch

He is blatantly wrong and paid to shill the company

don't care for the handles but does that version improve the d-pad at all?

sn30 pro feels almost perfect to me but the d-pad completely ruins it rendering it unusable, even using it for simple things like menus often goes wrong registering diagonals way too easily

>8Shitdo

What, they have the same issue as the Switch Pro Controller?

I was actually considering to try that controller next since I'm getting tired of that.

Thanks for the warning.

Not that user but sorta, not quite as bad as the switch pro controllers but mispresses can happen.

Dont 8bitdo controllers have terrible input lag?

No, unless you're on a super old firmware

I bought this one as of recent, still in shipping though but i like the look and design of it, should actually fit my hands for one

Attached: 71HMAwhEJNL._SX466_.jpg (466x466, 39K)

no

There was apparently a bug with it specific to using it on Switch which gave it a bad rep, but it was fixed in a firmware update I believe. Personally only ever used them on PC and seems perfectly fine.

are the triggers pressure sensitive? if not then fuck off ninty

I was lied by you guys. The 8bitdo dpad isn't clicky, at least not in their new wired controller. I'm getting the Retrobit Genesis now for a proper clicky test.

Attached: D3GH-ygXQAALWO1.png (750x750, 343K)

Oh great, are they worth getting over a pro controller?

Proof?

Might as well get a Switch pro for that price.
I do like 8bitdo though, I have a classic SNES from them for my phone. Maximum comfy.

He has like 3 separate videos telling you to buy the same controller, including amazon affiliate links to purchase them.

Latency.
Terrible Battery Life (anything under 30 hours is bad)

Which pad as a better dpad?

>Actually having the Nintendo button layout.
Fucking found gold right there.
Every damn third party always uses the Xbox layout and my autism can't handle that shit. Gib source bro

did reach 30 hours with my sn30 pro once but I did plug it for like 10 minutes when I took a break so probably doesn't count

Most of the third party Nintendo controllers have Nintendo layout. What are you saying!

I have sf30 pro and it doesn't have either of those issues. Don't get me wrong, it has issues and I would NOT recommend one at full price, but battery life and wireless is fine in my experience; latest firmware.
Various wired third party pads, such as ones by like hori and pdp, have better dpads. 8bitdo dpad is not molded well and can register diagonal/down inputs too easily. Similar to the switch pro controller dpad problem.

Does it have Gyro?

Check this out
gizmodo.com/this-super-customizable-controller-might-be-a-secret-we-1836304487

they about all use the exact same layout

that there's a different letter/symbol next to a button means fuck all, why are you even looking at the controller while playing

A Dpad which has accuracy problems and constantly inputs diagonals whenever you quickly alternate betwen LeftRight or UpDown.

amazon.com/Controller-Wireless-Nintendo-Console-Charging/dp/B07N18QZ66/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=momen switch pro&qid=1563324810&s=electronics&sr=1-1
Seems so

It's not that the D Pad has accuracy problems, it's too sensitive. You can fix it by taping off half the connectors in every direction so that it only inputs commands when you full press down the specific direction.

You can adjust them, but dunno if they act like analog triggers

>tfw holding down directly
>wiggle just a little bit without touching left/right on the d-pad
>triggers diagonals on both sides like it doesn't matter
so whenever I hit at a wrong angle it says fuck you and does the wrong thing, even annoying for a games that don't primarily play with the d-pad (like switching to the wrong weapon)

Yeah see people keep saying that diagonal shit but I’m not having this issue. The dpad feels responsive and accurate. I’ll probably test it in a fighting game later just to look at the interpreter and see what I get. Would recommend.
That said, Hori makes good fighting game hardware so I imagine their Switch controllers are fine. I’d actually like to get the Horicon at some point.

I don't look at my controller, but like I said, I am fucking stupid and cannot stand pressing A when it is registering as B, or viceversa. I don't know why I just can't. And since I am used to the Nintendo Layout, I NEED my controllers to be like that.

Attached: 1331942149360.jpg (328x212, 12K)

I even tested doing this myself and I don’t get the results people are saying here. Did 8bitdo update the new controller or something?

This reads like a shill post more than anything I usually read here

personally it's a sn30 pro

no idea for the wired one, the sega style one apparently has a better d-pad too

>Rumble
>Gyro
>sturdy fat frips
>decent D-pad
>comes with a case
>27$
Wow, seems like a fucking nice controller.
Have you tried it on smash?
What about input lag?

Wait isn't this just a Dualshock controller? It has the exact same layout.

Yeah I have the wired one. I was afraid it would be shit because I see all these complaints but they must have changed something. Or I’m just a very accurate pro gamer

Daily reminder

As i said, it's still shipping my dude, but i plan to use it on Smash and Crash Team Racing.

it's pretty apparent so I'd assume they improved it then

guess I may give it another chance later, shame I don't want it wired and also was happy to have a controller without handles though (I prefer to be able to hold it however I please without handles getting in the way)

Original playstation controller was heavily based on the SNES controller design

>Switch Pro Controller in anything but D tier with that joke of a D-Pad.

nice try lmao

Works for me.

t. Snoyboy

Just tested my SF30 pro on my PC because I was wondering. Rather than what you describe, the only issue (which isn't great either) is that it has a really tough time picking up on the up-right diagonal. Instead it picks up either or alternates between both unless it's pressed just right. It's unfortunate, because I really like the controller otherwise. The rubber on the right analog has also started to rip and come off, though that was after a lot of use.

Pathetic.
Sad.

Why do people photobomb everything with macbooks? it's not 2012 anymore

Attached: 1561696330952.gif (404x347, 1003K)

?

PS2 is better than that pile of shit that's the PS4 remote, aside from feeling cheaper, the Ps4 is even worse with that awful fucking light on the back

have sex

The D pad on the Pro Controller is actually not so great though. People had have to fix it themselves by applying tape in the middle. Don't be fanboys.

Attached: switch-pro-02[1].jpg (640x546, 209K)

Be forewarned, boys. That new software looks great though.

Attached: 20190716_171026.jpg (1280x622, 159K)

What fanboys? I've never had a problem with my Switch Pro, can't go against the popular opinion here otherwise I'm a fanboy shill.

is the one with the snes style but with analogs good?

I have one and it's pretty reliable, now the Dpad might feel a bit weird because it is just a cap protecting a 4 button layout.

I don't use it for Fighting games, so idk how well they perform in this kind of vidya.

Has the D-pad been improved? Considering getting one, even though I wish they had kept the SNES/SF designs.

wasn't the dpad improved since the xenoblade 2 version?

Is the battery life going to be as good as the Pro Controller?

I like to use my PS2 controllers on the Switch, top comfy

Don't know if it's better than before, this is the only one I've had, but I like the D-Pad a lot. It's precise and comfortable.

>confirmed it still won't be able to wake the Switch from Sleep Mode in the Amazon Q&A section
Fucking hell

Attached: 1516423626767.png (266x208, 140K)

I've got these issues with my SF30 pro

I got this to use my ds4 and xbone controller on the switch

Attached: file.png (1000x1000, 244K)

is there any noticeable delay or other issues using stuff like this?

Dualshock 2 was honestly a great fucking controller.

Testing it now I have no issue recognizing the up-right diagonal. It definitely picks up one of the other inputs as well sometimes though.

>These literal, absolute, honest to fucking christ shills who talk about how incredible these controllers are but can only ever seem to post the stock images

I bought one of your pieces of shit and had to exchange it like four times before I gave up and returned it, you fucking chink cocksuckers

8shitdo threads should be a permanent IP ban immediately

nauseating shit

>It definitely picks up one of the other inputs as well sometimes though.
Well, that doesn't sound too unusual. Thanks for testing. Might consider picking one up, though I might also just wait for the plus one.

They're giving people an idea of how their devices will look together.
The people who care about all products matching tend to also own Macs much of the time which is why a lot of products will have them partially in product shots.

why include the macbook in these photos

china

the controller has a freaking dedicated MAC mode, so what do you think

Attached: Blade Runner 2049 - Aaaaahhhhhhhh.webm (1920x1080, 1.69M)

Bet you didn't notice the non macbook on the right

Nothing can be as good except for the Wii U Pro

Nope

Up-right diagonal is uncomfortable by nature tho.
If you don’t have issue up-left, it shouldn’t be a problem

How is up-right inherently uncomfortable? I have to press it really hard to get a consistent up-right input. It's completely different from the other directions, especially the down directions. Checked my DS4 to compare and it has no issue like that.

it's basically trying to show a representative for each supported modes (mac, switch, xinput (aka non-mac), but guess android mode is missing)

>but guess android mode is missing
There's a Google phone in the picture on the right.

Your thumb position

It's definitely not because of that.

Just discovered you can import other people configurations of the Switch Pro on Steam.
Playing Mon Hun and other third person shooters with Gyro is gonna be fucking neat.

Attached: 1417740537261.png (769x1080, 1M)

Fuck I just bought one and I was thinking they should have grips.
Oh well.

Buy another one

I may but it depends.
Do we have a price on it yet?

>controller has symmetrical joysticks
>bro its totally the dualshock

There's a Notebook complimenting the Macbook on the bottom of the photo. It's a yin yang thing.

fifty

Goddamn that's a lot of smackeroos for a controller.

You must be joking. First party controllers cost more, easily. Not to mention Elite or custom level controllers that cost 3x or more.

Welcome to another one of Steam's awesome features. They spent a lot of time honing things for the Steam Controller but then made it accessable to all major controllers and let community layouts and import sharing among other features.
