Depends really. Is str just damage, or do you require strength to use things like armor and gear in general? Is dex just speed, or is it c rit rate/crit damage? Does it affect bow power? that should be str too c onsidering drawstrength. It dex movespeed? do back attacks do more damage? Does it affect turn speed as well or is everyone on parity at that point (meaning movespeed is 100% worthless in a directional damage game)

If they're all balanced then none of them are better. This is not a discussion of player skill, we're talking about which one is superior to the other, in which case it really does vary.
DEX cannot beat STR in raw power alone, but it usually gives access to gamechanging tools or skills to make up for it. A high-DEX user will generally beat a high-STR user if no other stats are involved. However, STR users will often have high CON or will pick up some points in DEX making it a bit more nuanced.

Is it just me or is there a strong absence of medieval anime with historically accurate armour, weapons and techniques? And also with a good and interesting plot?
The only anime I can think of off the top of my head is Berserk and (even if it's not medieval) Rose of Versailles.
And in terms of manga the only ones I can think of are Vinland Saga, Berserk (again) and that's about it. There's a few obscure ones like that one about the Hussite Wars, but that one is so historically inaccurate in dumb shit that I just dropped it (like Jan Zizka being a crazed murderer with no cool moustache and a teenage girl being doused in the Black Plague and being weaponised)

/tg/ here, if we are going solely with the fucking D&D it is argued that dexterity is stupidly superior because:
>increases armor class
>increases initiative
>increases extremely useful skills like stealth, acrobatics or sleight of hand
>dex saving throws are some of the most common and important of all
>way more viable ranged combat too with bows and crossbows
Meanwhile strength only has going for it having melee weapons with higher dice (highest dex weapon is a one handed 1d8, same as str, but they lack 2 handed options like the busted 2 handed sword or axe of 2d6 and 1d12), which isn't as important as the modifier.

In other games usually similar logic applies with dex being overall more useful.
But in the game that I master for, dungeons the dragoning, neither dex or str increase the chances to hit with any weapon (depending on separated skills of weaponry and ballistics), but str is way more important because it increases all melee damage substantially, while dexterity is useful only for skills and dodging, but parrying can be done too

At the end of the day it doesn't matter really because anyone trying to play a tabletop rpg min maxing is a fucking faggot missing the point entirely who will never find a group

I don't get why some Wizardfags do this. I actually usually play Wizard 90% of the time, but I go to the gym often and sometimes play Knight if I want to role play as a noble Medieval Knight like Zawiza Czarny.
I just think that Warrior classes are usually poorly done in most Vidya Fantasy RPGs and most traditional RPGs alongside Vidya RPGs just has Warriors with a stereotypical Conan garb rather than cool Knight armor, so I usually drop it because of that and go with Wizard. When I see a Knight class that actually reminds me of cool medieval shit, I actually play it, I just don't like the weird fucking generic modern fantasy portrayal of Warriors as either guys in leather with a sword or some half-armoured guy with a hammer that doesn't even wear a cool looking helmet [/spoiler] (fuck that stereotype so fucking hard) [/spoiler].
So most of the time I play Wizard because of the appeal of wearing Monk robes and sacrificing your own life force and energy in exchange for powerful earth-defying moves that when used creatively can fuck people up, and also essentially being an archivist librarian NEET with great knowledge.

However most Wizardfags I've seen don't go for that appeal and just want to be overpowered anime protagonists that are powerful and cool with no creativity behind it and thus ruining the class for me the same way that Warrior/Knight was ruined for me (I just wanted to be a Knight that served my lord and king and questioning my morality whilst slaying unholy beasts and need to make hard choices).
