Some things that get a lot of praise deserve it. Not all episodes/films/whatever are created equal but on the whole it's a great series. Brooker's Wipe stuff was also good and it's little wonder it features the Adam Curtis shorts that probably got a lot of people interested in those documentaries. You don't have to be a contrarian about literally everything, if you don't like the show just don't watch it.

It's its own thing, but obviously closely tied to traditional gaming. I spent hours on fucking Beat Saber, which is little more than the VR equivalent of Pong + DDR (A true VR DDR would sell like fucking hotcakes). The experience in the opening hours of Arizona Sunshine of just moving down an abandoned road searching vehicles is engrossing. My first moment that showed me what VR is capable of was from Waltz of the Wizard. Having a 7 foot tall undead guy in armor walking straight for you, arm outstretched with tendrils of black - it hit the fight or flight reflexes hard, even though I knew it was all fake.

There are issues to overcome, if they ever do: nausea/disorientation (though I've heard it's like getting your sea legs), we need massively denser screens to the point that it should be indistinguishable from real vision (and that also includes color reproduction, framerate, tracking eye accommodation, et cetera). We need a simple solution to the fact that any remotely physically intensive game makes you sweat which is a problem for any closed headset.
But what's there is already incredible. Bringing the cost down and solving the very hard problem of wireless vs. fidelity are the most immediate concerns.

Try it, and you will without noticing. The timewarp (lack of cues for the passage of time) is actually something of a problem.
