The issue I'm having is that I know they are releasing a definitive version on the PS4 with new content.

I especially do not understand how they fucked him up when there are already no less than three fighting games with Persona characters in them that they could have drawn influence from, but instead we got the most generic shit imaginable.

His moveset is a definite disappointment, but I'm not quite at the point where I revile Joker for the disservice done to his kit. It sucks that they couldn't capture persona, let alone his status as a wild card, but I'm hardly surprised either.

I'm a huge Atlus mark but I'd only put P5 in maybe the top ten depending on whether I'm more in a Persona 5 mood or a Nocturne mood.

Also I'd have rather had either Jack Frost or had Joker actually use his Fool ability to have multiple Personas appear.

He could be mechanically more or less the same, but have weaker Personas like Pixie, Pyro Jack, etc. before his meter goes off, then get stronger ones like Metatron and Black Frost with the meter.

Only real missed opportunity with him to be honest.

He just sits behind and copies Joker's moves like the stands do in the Capcom Jojo game. In the actual Persona fighters the Personas have unique attacks independent from the user.

That's not even how they work in the Capcom fighter, let alone actual canon Jojo.

They literally do the exact opposite of what Arsene does, the humanoid ones come out in front of the user and do a whole attack pretty decently far away from the user. Not at all sitting behind the user and altering their hitbox properties, which is what Joker has.
