Why is the hype for yuzu gone?

youtube.com/watch?v=Nczr1vZiY2Y

Last year, even just having one or two games be playable was a big deal, now nobody seems to care at all other than astral chain and maybe rune factory 4

switch has no games, the portability is the only redeeming factor

t. switch owner

I want to play MHXX
when is the 32bit support

>emulating games that just came out
Absolute cringe
How about actually supporting the publishers, you neckbeard?

But playing it on the console doesn't mean you have to buy it too

You cant play mm2 online on it which is the biggest thing on switch right now and for a good while
Or anything online really

People just wanted to get BotW and Mario Odyssey to shitpost about them.
Since Nintendo hasn't released any big games for the past year, nobody cares anymore.

no good games and people only gave a shit about zelda

how about sucking my balls

lol shut up loser

>"oh boy, i can now play dark souls NOT on the go!"
>"wait a second? i already have all these games on my pc."

>no Vulkan, AMD users are fucked
>nothing except LGPE, 2D games and SMO "playable"
>needs almost triple the amount of RAM than the actual console
>needs the best of the best CPU running at 5GHz to have 90% speed
>no multi core support yet

It's way too early to get excited for yuzu. The team made amazing progress but this emulator is nowhere to being used instead of the actual console or play games at higher resolution than the native.

>not portable
>cant build in mm2 with the touchscreen
>cant play mm2 online
>cant play splatoon 2 online
>cant play smash bros online
>not supporting good games by buying them
Who the fuck emulates a system that is still new and supported?
Buy the games retard if you dont want this industry to die completely to phone shit

I'm as hype as I can be. was playing ARMS today. it's a decent game to fuck around in.
waiting on improvements to Mario Odyssey. then later Yuzu'll end up being the only way to play Astral Chain. also Links Awakening but other than that the switch is just full of trash so Yuzu by extension is only good for a few games sadly.

>Vulkan
Is shit, this is the problem with AMD they can't compete with established standards and expect to everyone embrace the ones they can show some muscle.

Because it runs like shit, like citra. Except, unlike citra, it doesn't have any chink forks that fix the performace.

Is it optimized yet or does it still require a NASA supercomputer to run?

I'm actually excited to play DQ builders 2, astral chain, RF4/5, SMT5, ARMS, cadence of hyrule, and XB2

Because it's a port machine. For most of the Switch library, muh on the go is the only redeeming factor. You can play most of these games natively on PC and have a better experience.

Still requires a supercomputer. This is why the hype died. Everyone was excited for the rate of progress, installed Yuzu, got 7FPS, and forgot about it.

Maybe when Vulkan support comes there will be a way to offload some of the performance hit to the GPU, until then it’s worthless to all but a tiny few people except as a proof of concept.

Vulkan is not an AMD API, you seriously need to shut the fuck up.

I'll check it out when it runs Odyssey or XB2 at full speed.

And where did I say it was you retard?

because Cemu and Steam exists which overlap for 98% of all the switch games.

NOOOOOOOOOOO DELET THIS THEAD!!!!!!!!

It's an emulator, you dumb twat. If you can't understand the purpose or interest that surround them, you have no need to add to the discussion.

Pretty much.

>all these people getting pissy when people bring up valid reasons for why they don't care
lol

()
>Vulkan Is shit, this is the problem with AMD
Just restrain yourself, try to contain your stupidity for 5 minutes. In almost every scenario Vulkan is faster than both OpenGL and Direct3D, running on AMD or Nvidia.

>not portable
it's software. it's as portable as your system running it. also no one over the age of 11 in their right mind plays games outside of their home. "portable" is just a dumb meme to excuse the fact switch hardware is absolute shit.
>cant build in mm2 with the touchscreen
yes you can use your mouse or use your systems touchscreen.
>cant play splatoon 2 online
>cant play smash bros online
Trash ultimate sucks as do online games.
>not supporting good games by buying them
where are the good games?
>Buy the games retard if you dont want this industry to die
you should never support nintendo and their new cheap trash system that's actively hurt the industry by restricting developers because it's underpowered shit. nintendo will only learn their lesson when you stop buying their crap. time for another gaming market crash. force creativity & build up a new industry on top of this garbage pile.

What it means is VULKAN IS SHIT AND ONLY AMD FAGS CRY ABOUT IT. Go back to your redshed fag.

you are just a stupid cunt

It's progressing at a good pace, shut up

I'm afraid you are my sheepish friend. Stop buying the trash Nintendo feeds you. demand better.

Hey incel, hardware > emulation

Attached: 1561359950344.jpg (720x890, 58K)

>Console gaming dies due to no one buying the cheap shit anymore and just using emulators.
>nintendo, snoy & microsofts long term racket finally comes to an end.
>Devs now release games for PC, no paying for online bullshit, no incompatible cross play issues, no games held back by shit hardware.
Yep only positives here.

>supporting the publishers
epic bait

Wait, tell me more about those chink forks. MHGen is unplayable lately and I need my 60 fps back.

Because Nintendo games are just good for a quaint afternoon of fun but not much else. People like to go on about what masterpieces the new ones are, and you're inclined to believe them since you don't have access to the games, but then you get that access, and as soon as you do, the hype all fizzles away and you realize you were listening to people hyping up what was going to be about 7 hours of fun per game max. Yuzu just gets hit harder because
A) Most of its blockbuster titles are either direct ports of Wii U games that were also playable on Cemu or are sequels that don't have an immediately striking difference in gameplay
B) Many of the games people are looking forward are still just basic teasers or only logos, and given that BOTW was announced 1 year into the Wii U lifespan and wasn't released until the very end, there's little reason to be hyped now.
C) Literally the only reason people wanted Yuzu at the time development started was Odyssey and they pretty much already have that

Yuzu devs need a new Zelda, then the money will start flooding in.

>VULKAN IS SHIT
You sure sound like you know what you're talking about, you imbecile.

gbatemp.net/threads/citra-unofficial-chinese-builds-discussion.431974/page-468#post-8712759

It's not optimized yet. If you are a patient piratefag, perhaps your 3rd world machine consisting of a second gen i5 and 750ti will someday years down the road be able to run Super Mario Odyssey at 720p 30fps. Otherwise, people who will want to play modern Nintendo games will just buy a Switch.

Thanks, user!

AMD OpenGL drivers on Windows are bad.

AMD (open source) OpenGL drivers on Linux are good.

When calling AMD OpenGL drivers bad, please make sure to specify that it is only Windows drivers that are bad. Do not include Linux.

>supporting nintendo
lol just loooool

Attached: 1546765996302.png (640x480, 296K)

this should be the only means of playing Sword and Shield, don't support dev laziness and over charged garbage, so far i'm only supporting Xenoblade 2 and Kirby so we get more like those.

What a shit gen this was.

>32-bit
get out of here, plague

Attached: 499.jpg (891x1280, 259K)

It's only for testing home-built XCI/NSP's before you transfer them to your switch
