>expected this to be some shitty lazy spin-off
>better than 90% of the Yakuza games
Expected this to be some shitty lazy spin-off
>better then every Yakuza except 0
FTFY
when can we expect the inevitable PC port? Before someone says "never ever," sega themselves said that all Yakuza related titles will be releasing with a PC release in mind ever since K2 sold super well.
>t. babbys first yak
It really is great, especially after how awful 6 was. It's up there with the best.
Get rid of Yokoyama.
>then
fuck off ESL
hopefully before 6
Chasing's come a long way since 3
youtu.be
CHOTTO MATTE YO
it's so much better in this
I remember steering being a complete nightmare
>Game
>20 hours of cinematic
i'm betting on a suprise december 2019 release or early 2020
First time one of these games gave me an actual challenge since 3. I ate so much shit in this game on Hard during my first playthrough. Didn't use tonics or whatever on my first playthrough. It felt cheap.
kino final boss
up there with mine and ryuji
I know you're a cop in the game but who are the antagonists? Yakuza?
we can all agree saori is best girl, but who is the best gf? for me its tsukino
fucking everyone
hoshino doesn't deserve her
sana of course
the massage girl
I'm surprised Nagoshi came up with the story/characters. I thought he lost it after 6/K1.
eww
>Get rid of Yokoyama
Absolutely agree. He simply doesn't know how to write and puts whatever ridiculous shit in to make a bad twist. Most of his writing doesn't even makes sense and is parody tier.
>for me its tsukino
based
>One shot from Koga does 60% of your health on Legend.
>try to run past battle in Legend
>get shot and fall over
>half life
>get up
>get sword up the ass during animation
>die
I hate 0fags more and more by the day.
>Fatass clips you as you're trying to run past.
>His six friends decide to spin and do wind up punches taking off like 80% of your health in the span of a couple seconds.
>Koga
who's that again?
Arase Jr. You meet him in chapter 11, one of the Keihin Four.
oh yeah fuck him
All the asians being 6'5 makes the game look comical.
>All the asians being 6'5
there are only about 3 tall main characters
>His six friends decide to spin and do wind up punches
holy fuck this shit brings my piss to a boil
>Tashiro-kun has a stick up his ass, I wonder what it could be.
Yeah Yagami, what could it possibly be? It's a complete mystery.
How do you defeat dural in the vf5 game? Any cheese?
Play as the guy in the red sleeveless jacket (Jeff? Jack?) and pretty much just mash the rapid punches because a couple of them always land. You can also use the one military chick with the bra (Vanessa?) and you either continually grab or continually kick, it's one of the two.
no taki no buy
Every Yakuza is trash and so is this. You can't fool me you fucking fag
>no fight with Morita
weird I felt like there would be one lmao
>expected this to be some shitty lazy spin-off
funny cause that exactly what it is.
>better than 90% of the Yakuza games
taking a shit feel good depending on the day
>enemies can juggle you
fuck off you retarded ESL
learn to type before shitposting
Spin-off when?
>Kuroiwa jumps off a wall, kicks you, does a combo which launches you, and then proceeds to combo you in the air.
>Koga can juggle you by doing a rising kick as well.
It feels weird to be on the opposing end of it. I'm fully expecting Amon to get on the juggle train as well.
He’s just an old dude not some kind of superpowered yakuza. No way you’re going to fight him
Is he /ourguy/?
they haven't released a real game since yakuza 5, just kamurocho and sotenbori games and remakes
6 doesn't count because it was so horrid and unfinished I refuse to acknowledge its existence
Best boy
Has Yagami ever killed
>Has Yagami ever killed
You can literally microwave people and throw them off buildings.
this bit made me think it was a translation error at first
fuckers got me
> better then
> should of
Why are Americans so retarded.
Nothing in Judgment points to that. He's not afraid of torture and seemed to be okay with leaving Hamura's fate to the Kyorei so I guess he's fine with it as long as it's deserved in his eyes?
yeah but he's clearly physically stronger than Tak
they're fine tho
final boss was SOOO good
especially after fucking Y6
>Want to do a side mission
>Might have a tailing part
>Go back to the main story instead
>can't use disguises post-game
kaito-san...
tailing isn't as bad as people make it out to be
can hoshino really handle this
It's horrible
The entire idea of it is dull and unfun, it's all the reasons why escort missions are such a pain in the ass only it's a new spin on it
great game
my only real gripe is too many repeat bosses
Yes, yes it is. You are following people for upwards of five or six minutes at times, there is no challenge to it at all, you have to constantly see people bump into the person over and over but apparently they're so paranoid they think a random guy wandering behind them is suspicious but him instantly running away or hiding behind a wall isn't. It also doesn't help at least 30 or more of the Side Cases have them.
At least Assassin's Creed gives you a parkour challenge, here you just stand behind a wall, face the camera at the person, and then wait until they turn a corner or get too far away and lightly jog to where they are until the story progresses.
>Get a dope suit from that fag boi
>Don't ever wear it
What's the point
I guess you guys have a point.
I got the twig and empty bottle that the old guy wants and talking to him triggers nothing
How do I proceed?
Go to your inventory, go to Valuables, and make the extract.
it's very poorly explained
you need to make it in your menu then talk to him
I always put it on as a disguise because of how dumb it is lol
YAGAMI
Amane
>Sakakiba's crew
>the researchers have babby life bars
Pic related
But he can’t be shirtless.
so is Hangman just a thing now or what
>Low opinion of the Yakuza series
>Zero expectations for a spin-off series
Looks like it. Redman was in K2 as well but only in Clan Creator and the Bouncer stuff.
You pretty much one shot them though.
They should've used Kaito for Yakuza 7. The new dude has a weird haircut.
Anybody else bummed you didn't get the chance to beat up Shono or at the very least have a scene where Sugiura did. I wanted to fuck up that rat face piece of shit.
>You can take selfies with Ono Michio.
>But the people of Kamurocho don't like Ono Michio.
>This makes him sad.
Shit taste 0/10 would not solve their problems again.
the fight choreography is insane
Are any of the Yakuza games as kino as this? I just started 0 but the combat is kind of shit compared to Judgement. Also a shit ton of dialogue.
good he should be bullied
>Grab a stungun
>The heat move is the same as all small objects; Yagami just hits the person with it, nothing unique about it
Deep down I was hoping it would happen in some way. Like he gets his shit beaten pretty brutal and his jacket gets torn to shreds instead of the usual yakuza strip like Kiryu does
>they still reuse some heat move animations from Yakuza 3 after all these years
I don't mind it actually
oh no...
I thought he said anyways that what influenced 6's writing would be what gets a response from people.
>better than 90% of the Yakuza games
Until it comes to PC then they're all the same, another exclusive comes for PS4 and suddendly that one is better then all the other ones.Rinse and repeat
>better then
shut up retard
>no Ayaba during ending
Of course he wouldn't be there, he's under arrest for leaking official police documents and running L'amant. Even if he got off the murder charge he's still going down for everything else.
but he's a pretty cool dood
get over it ya damn police
Detective elements are shit and bring the game down which automatically brings the game down.
I'd rather go through a good amount of the yakuza games again over this.
*despite the good story which makes the game less fun than other titles
Lack of sleep is killing me
I was getting wrecked by the final boss because of this shit, I had no healing items left.
Tailing is dogshit mate.
The last chapter breaks the suspension of disbelief when you fight the cops. Why are they not in jail? I’m pretty sure beating up cops are illegal
>Take a tired old format you've played for 5 games
>Change things up a bit so its fresh again
>It's better
What a surprise
The cops were being given erroneous information from a corrupt member of the authorities, and were quickly told that what they were doing was wrong, and that Yagami was right in apprehending the suspects before more death could occur.
Yagami most likely bailed them out. Given the recent events I'd say they most likely would get off pretty light.
Sequel when? Don't even care about the game system that much. I just want another epic detective drama.
Have they made the dragon engine good yet?
With a Story, Side missions and characters so good i can't wait for the new yakuza
Why would they be in jail? The police were given false information by a corrupt cop who not only murdered multiple people but was on the way to murder more and they were told this by Yagami and friends. Said cop even blew up a walkway at the ADDC moments after they tried stopping everyone which would be entirely on the cops. Most of the deaths were because the cops listened to Kuroiwa and didn't listen to Yagami so arresting Yagami for assaulting them would make absolutely no sense after everything they said was proven right considering it wasn't out of malice but out of desperation to actually stop someone lying to them.
what is good for you? I liked the Dragon engine in kiwami 2
Probably never. KimuTaku is too expensive.
Then hopefully with a actor who isin't a famous singer because i missed the karaoke
I doubt just because the cost of the actor, but that's fine because Judgement has pretty solid closure for everyone.
I think they got rid of that weird, weighty feel to the physics and made it more like the pre-dragon engine games. Can't really explain it well, but Kiryu in 6 felt really heavy when hitting enemies and a lot of the animation felt tied to the physics. They loosened it up for K2 and Judgement and removed some of the more wild ragdolling results you could get.
You should go try 6 again after playing Judgment for a while because it's the opposite. Judgment feels like you're way slower and hitting far heavier than 6 ever did. Kiryu is like a speed demon and his sways are ridiculous compared to Yagami, Tiger and Crane are both all over the place in terms of speed even at max combo speed. The ragdolls are definitely more toned down though, people go flying but definitely not as far as Kiryu used to be able to do to them, punting someone on the ground doesn't throw them as far.
so was it ever explained why Yagami is strong and good in martial arts
Not gonna lie he has a pretty punchable face.
Dad taught him karate and then he fought on the street for the next 20 something years developing his styles. He explains this to Hoshino early on, either in chapter 2 or 3. It actually is impressive how much ridiculous nonsense he manages to do, Kiryu and friends don't take on nearly as many enemies as he does at one time barring the Tojo Clan bit in 5 and I guess Millennium Tower in 6 yet Yagami is supposed to just be an average guy? I'd love to see him fight Tatsuya because both of them are ridiculously powerful for regular folk.
Yagami isn't particularly strong, in fact he gets the shit kicked out of him in multiple occasions and almost gets killed by Hamura very early on in the game. His dad taught him martial arts then he refined/toughened it up by being a generic punk that picks fights with kiryu in kamurocho for a while. I guess you could rationalise him getting stronger by gaining experience over the course of the game by fighting powerful enemies (which he probably never did often before or ever as a lawyer) but there's no real explanation for why he's able to get through armies of guys without kaitos help
on another note why the fuck did they put so many tailing missions into this game? it has to be one of the worst mission types in any video game ever and judgment is fucking chock full of them
Huh, guess it has been a while. I'll check it out
He gets his shit pushed in multiple times, usually by Hamura or something catching him off guard, but the sheer amount of people he takes down at almost every encounter is insane. Even if he has Kaito, Sugiura, or Higashi backing him up he's still taking out a majority of the people he fights. Look at how both times he went to Honmaruen he cleaned everyone out. Look at when he went to cho-han he and Kaito took on at least 12 people at once. Look at the entire Cane Man building, Sugiura was there but even so Yagami takes out most everyone himself.
Hell, look at how many cops they had to take out to reach Kuroiwa at the end of the game and even after all that and a concussion he managed to beat Kuroiwa two separate times. It's not like he's beating up bears but Yagami is ridiculously strong. If you count VR Salon he can even beat up tigers but that's up in the air if you want to argue he gets super strength in it or not considering other people play it and they're just normal people who probably have no fighting experience yet are expected to be able to clear those tiles.
Fucking keks
I didn't even talked you autistic weeb.
After the fist phase of final battle he is pretty tired and beaten up, though.
And before that, too. Yagami is mid-tier right there with Akiyama.
are the yakuza games mod friendly ?
i jsut want the main guy to not look like a fkn fuccboi.i would pay them 20dollars extra if they let me play his cool friend instead during the main story...
>fighting your way through the Soleil Building
>cane dude pulls out a new weapon in every room
Shame that he came out of nowhere and disappeared into thin air. Was a pretty cool guy.
>Cane turns into a fucking shotgun
i really loved the campy edgyness of the final boss. i was getting shades of wesker
Even so he still managed to beat an adrenaline-filled Kuroiwa despite all that. Kuroiwa is even trained on the force to do hand-to-hand stuff so he's technically more adept and skilled than Yagami as well.
>right there with Akiyama.
Akiyama held off the entire Omi once Kiryu bailed though. We're not talking a Majima situation here where he stopped one street's worth of Omi, we're talking all the Omi on Aizawa's side that were going to kill Haruka along with Kanai leading them. I'd argue that puts Akiyama up higher even when considering Yagami's feats. Akiyama doesn't team up with anyone besides Kiryu one time in his fights either so he's technically dealing with more nonsense than Yagami is on average, and Akiyama has zero fighting experience at all while Yagami has a bunch.
nexusmods.com
Judgment is also in dragon engine, so i think we'll be fine with model swaps
post yfw destination starts playing
youtu.be
Is this game's plot related to Yakuza in any way?
The Matsugane family is a small family in the Tojo Clan. There's also a bunch of small references but nothing you'd notice unless you played the games previously.
best girl
that shit was annoying me. i was wondering when the fuck the fights turned into tekken
>deserved in his eyes
>eyes that judged
>judge eyes
SUGOI NAGOSHI
I still think they made a serious mistake when they chose the protagonist. I would have preferred someone like Hamura except less of an asshole for the role of the detective. A hard-boiled, grizzled veteran who has seen some serious shit, not a guy who just stumbled into being a detective due to his lawyer career not panning out the way he wanted it to.
0 is better but yeah the rest are trash. but so is this game
