Wow, we have the exact same experience, user. I got SFV for the thighs, but I stuck around. Apart from the DLC, I have no real complaints, and even then it's not nearly as bad as something like Paradox. I really enjoy the game, but I'm also super new to fighting games. So I've never been into fighters but a lot of my friends are and are eternally arguing about whether Tekken or SF are better, and from what I hear, it just seems like the Tekkenfags are being contrarian autists. However, I've got just about no real fighting game experience outside of dumb button mashing, so what do you faggots think?
Can you go into more detail. I played SFV around the time the Story mode got released, played for a couple weeks and just hated it so uninstalled, and I used to love street fighter. What makes it good now?
If you want dumb button mashing, buy Tekken. Street Fighter is not a rewarding game if you're not willing to put at least an hour into learning the basic range of your character's moves. At the same time, Street Fighter is the most rewarding fighting game precisely because it relies on mastery of basics and not cheap parlor gimmicks you learned to do. I can beat most of my friends just by using light punch and no grabs because they are fucking bad.
I think it easily has 1-2 years left in it's competitive scene,especially if they add a second V-Skill or CA for every character.

I dunno about that man, im a warrior rank Kazuya but play in lobbies 3-4 times a week with Mighty rulers and Fujin's, and i still kick their assess half the time just by not playing to their expectations. Same old stuff i do with Kazuya and they still fall for it.
They seem to like 3rd strike and USFIV though.
