sidescrollers suck

Been a very long time since i played Awesomenauta but i recall it being plagued with cheaters like the number 1 ranked player was a blatant cheater and Devs did nothing.

AN was too shallow, reached top ranks of the leader boards so easily. Plus the netcode was terrible, as the game has no servers that were promised ages ago.

Because the gameplay doesn't have enough depth.

I tried to play it, the graphics were amazing but the gameplay was god awful.

Do you mean Hyper Universe?

Hyper Universe would have done better if they hadn't censored it.

I need a good laugh, wonder if the steam forums for it are still up?

They look like cheap flashgames, that's why.

>People chose the products they use/consume based on preconceived notions of what looks cheap or expensive
I guess that's why Apple is so popular.

It looks like the game is gone from steam but the steam forums are still up.

Hyper Universe was fun and should still be on PC if not for neckbeards just wanting tits and ass.

It would still be on PC if they didn't piss off the neckbeards. There's a thought to ponder before you sling stones at the ones that could have left the game limping along.

I don't think they work very well. You lose an entire dimension of movement when it's side view, so all your positioning is just on a horizontal plane since jumping is so limited. You don't really have things like skill shots since you just shoot everything out straight in front of you.

I despise mobas, but awesomenauts is really fun. It plays more like a platformer-brawler-fighting game. The artstyle is nice and it's intuitive to play, yet has a high skill ceiling, especially if you play certain nauts like skolldir.
I have about 500 hours in and i dont event come close in skill to the top tier players.

lol

perspective cheapens the experience i guess

FUCK im still mad about hyper universe

Korean games in general don't catch on because of terrible business management. Ludicrously priced cash shop items usually paired with loot boxes and the eternal grind. Sent many games to an early grave.

Maybe they should have kept the tits and arse then

that was during the early f2p season honestly, it didn't take long for old paying players to complain and the devs to get their shit together.
Game is still dead though, a shame cause it's fun as hell.

It really was fun, but they listened to the vocal minority that didn't even play the game and gimped it. Everyone was on edge from the beginning because Nexon so bending the knee to sjws just made everyone scatter. They also had 0 marketing or hype and I'm pretty sure barely anyone even knew about the game. It also should have been f2p.
